(Ezekiel Loseke, Headline USA) Citizens of New York and Chicago, two Democrat-run sanctuary cities, are protesting their leaders’ failures to handle an illegal immigration crisis that has landed in their backyards.
Chicago residents have flooded city meetings with complaints about the city’s policy regarding illegal immigration, according to Breitbart News.
Citizens of Chicago’s Woodlawn community spoke out at a meeting about the crush of illegals.
“I would ask you all to go out there — go out there at night, in the middle of the night — and see what goes on,” one woman said to representatives of the Chicago Police Department during one such meeting.
Another Chicago resident was more clear about what she experienced from the illegals flooding the streets.
“They disrespect us, they rob us, they harass us.”
A man warned Chicago police officers that they had one more chance to deal with the illegal problem.
“Let me say this — they’ve got one more time to deal with it,” he said. “Because otherwise, next time they deal with it, they’re going to deal with it from the streets. We’re going to take over,” the man told police at the meeting.
“Nobody is going to be able to stop us from what we’re going to do to them.”
An alderman of another Chicago neighborhood wrote a letter complaining of the illegals’ drug use, drug dealing, prostitution, loitering, littering and rude behavior.
The illegals situation was equally dire in New York City, where 54 elected Democrats begged Joe Biden to help them with what they described as a crisis of illegal aliens in a letter that was posted to Twitter.
“Our City is experiencing an unprecedented migrant influx, with a surge of asylum seekers arriving here in numbers never seen before in history,” the letter complained.
“While we welcome immigrants to our City, the current unstructured state of immigration policy and response needs to end,” the democrats continued, failing to note that this is the exact condition of Americans living on the Southern border.
“That is why we are pleading for the White House to step in and take leadership over the influx of asylum seekers.”
In just 2 days, 54 elected officials from every borough, community, and corner of our City signed this letter requesting action from @POTUS.
The migrant crisis is one of the greatest humanitarian crises New York City has ever faced and we need help from the White House today. https://t.co/i2wYCOkb0s
