REPORT: BLM Bought $6M Mansion in LA w/ Donor Cash

(Headline USA) The national Black Lives Matter organization bought a $6 million mansion in Los Angeles with donor cash in October 2020, according to a report.

New York magazine revealed that BLM Global Network Foundation used Dyane Pascall, a man with close business ties to the charity’s disgraced co-founder, Patrisse Cullors, to purchase a luxury mansion with its cash resources. The property purchase was made just two weeks after BLM received a $66.5 million cash infusion from its former fiscal sponsor.

Less than a week after Pascall purchased the property, he transferred its deed to an LLC named after its address, public records show. BLM used this LLC as a middleman for the purchase to “avoid exposing BLM’s assets to any litigation or liability,” BLM board member Shalomyah Bowers admitted. He claimed the mansion does not serve as a personal residence.

Other BLM leaders claimed the mansion is a “safehouse” for the charity’s leaders whose lives have been threatened, according to an internal strategy memo obtained by New York magazine. However, the memo admitted that there are “holes in the security story,” including the fact that the LA mansion was used by Cullors on her personal YouTube channel.

This is the third mansion BLM has purchased since the summer of 2020. Just last summer, BLM used its funds to help BLM Canada purchase a mansion in Toronto in July 2021.

And Cullors herself bought several luxury homes – a decision that ultimately led to her stepping down from the BLM organization.

BLM’s finances have come under scrutiny ever since it was revealed that the organization’s $60 million in cash has gone missing.

In response to reports about the organization’s shady finances, BLM hired a private investigator to look into the reporters poking about its finances, New York magazine revealed.
