(John Ransom, Headline USA) The left’s continued criminal attacks on conservative thought and activism is in the news once again, as the crowdfunding site GiveSendGo was hacked, potentially revealing the personal information of those who donated to the Freedom Convoy, according to Newsweek.
“Earlier on Monday, Mikael Thalen, a reporter for the Daily Dot, tweeted that the right-wing Christian crowdfunding website GiveSendGo, which hosted the Freedom Convoy fundraiser, was redirecting to the domain GiveSendGone[.]wtf.”

The site then displayed a profanity-laced tirade against the donors of the Freedom Convoy, accusing them of funding an insurrection against the Canadian government and labeling the donors “grifters and hatriots.”
GiveSendGo stepped in after crowdfunding site GoFundMe seized funds raised by Freedom Convoy supporters, and said that the money would be distributed to a charity more acceptable to GoFundMe.
“I think this was a huge PR mistake by GoFundMe,” GiveSendGo founder and CFO Jacob Wells told Fox News. “People are vowing to never use GoFundMe again because of the ideological stances that they’re taking. We take a neutral position. We allow people to fundraise.”
A Canadian court has ordered the GiveSendGo site to stop distributing funds to the truckers.
“The Superior Court of Justice in Ontario granted a restraining order requested by the Government of Ontario against the company and others, asking that funds to the protesters be halted — over $8.7 million USD has been raised in one campaign,” reported CNN.
But the crowdfunding site said the court has no jurisdiction.
“Know this! Canada has absolutely ZERO jurisdiction over how we manage our funds here at GiveSendGo,” said the company. “All funds for EVERY campaign on GiveSendGo flow directly to the recipients of those campaigns, not least of which is The Freedom Convoy campaign.”
So far no law enforcement agency has said what they will do about the illegal theft of donor identity information on the GiveSendGo site.
