Protesters Heckle ‘Warmonger’ Pelosi as a ‘Sad Old Drunk’

'You know Pelosi, that’s a very good place for you in the depths of hell...'

(Robert Jonathan, Headline USA) Security had its hands full on Monday during a Manhattan event featuring former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, on the eve of former President Donald Trump’s sham arrest at the hands of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

The San Francisco Democrat was the featured speaker at the City University of New York’s Graduate Center in a public session on Monday evening moderated by far-left New York Times columnist Paul Krugman.

That’s when freewheeling free speech broke out according to a video posted to Twitter by conservative influencer Ian Miles Chong.

Before they were removed, hecklers interrupted the proceeding several times. That included one them shouting, “Hey congresswoman, I came to see a warmonger but you’re a sad old drunk…You g**d**n war criminal. How many people have died in your f**k**g name?”

The same heckler, alluding to the Trump indictment, wondered out loud if Pelosi might also have traveled to New York to get indicted for her transgressions involving endless war.

In the first interruption, a heckler yelled, “You know Pelosi, that’s a very good place for you in the depths of hell. For some reason, you have a very bad obsession of getting us into war. Hey, why is it that you did not admit that there were no WMDs in Iraq? You lied us into a war in Iraq…”

Hecklers, who were booed by most of the audience, also took Pelosi to task for the war in Afghanistan, the Nord Stream pipeline explosion “leaving millions of Germans without energy,” tensions between China and Taiwan, and Wall Street corruption.

One of the other hecklers even referred the late Lyndon LaRouche, a fringe Democrat presidential candidate and conspiracy theorist who had amassed a sizeable cult following prior to his 2019 death.

“By the way, Lyndon LaRouche is back in a big way, and I’m here on behalf of everybody who loves peace and not war with Russia, war with China…”

The incident was reminiscent of a 2022 encounter when anti-war protesters shouted down Rep. Alexandria Ocasio–Cortez, D-N.Y., for selling out her constituents by voting to send billions of taxpayer dollars to Ukraine in the ongoing war between that country and Russia—a conflict that could drag the world into nuclear war.

The Left in America was traditionally anti-war, pro-free-speech, and skeptical of—if not hostile to—big corporations and especially the U.S. government intelligence agencies.

Among establishment, globalist Democrats and most of their followers, the script has totally flipped—although these incidents suggest that some small pockets of progressive resistance exist.

In 2021, the Democrat Socialists of America lauded AOC as the organization’s “foremost socialist superstar” even as she has morphed into more of a conventional politician.

The publicity-loving AOC hinted this week that she might primary Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in 2024, and it’s quite likely that she could unseat the incumbent  and go on to win a general election in the blue state.

Pelosi, meanwhile, recently prompted ridicule on social media for seemingly failing to understand a fundamental principle in the U.S. judicial system that a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
