Fmr. Bush Press Sec. Calls for Conservative DAs to Target Corrupt Left

'What's happened to Donald Trump is actually the real violation of the norms...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Ari Fleischer, former press secretary of President George W. Bush, argued that the Left will not cease its “lawfare” war on the Right and its elected officials until the Right does the same thing in return, the RealClear Politics reported.

Fleischer made the argument during an appearance Tuesday on Fox News host Sean Hannity’s show, noting that if the Left is willing to violate all of the prior rules—written and unwritten—then the Right is left with no choice.

“One of the raps against Donald Trump is that he violates the norms and, as a result, the Democrats had no choice—prosecutors had no choice,” Fleischer said.

“What’s happened to Donald Trump is actually the real violation of the norms,” Fleischer continued. “He was impeached the first time by a process that did not even go through the Judiciary Committee.”

According to Fleischer, the select House Intelligence Committee, which is tasked with safeguarding some of the country’s most sensitive national-security secrets, was wrecked in “the hands of Adam Schiff to get Donald Trump.”

Fleischer also brought up the George Soros-backed New York City District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who is behind the current prosecution of Trump for his alleged hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.

“Now you have a prosecutor in an overwhelmingly lopsidedly ideologically Democrat, 85-15 Democrat-to-Republican Manhattan going after Donald Trump,” he said, alluding to Bragg.

Ultimately, Fleischer said, the Left will not stop hassling the Right with legal difficulties until the latter adopts the same tactics. “I earnestly hope that conservative prosecutors in rural areas of America indict Bill Clinton, indict Hillary Clinton, indict Hunter Biden,” he said.

If Republicans refuse, they may risk their very existence as a party in the country given the direction of recent elections.

“Republicans cannot unilaterally disarm,” Fleischer said, suggesting that the only path to political armistice was the threat of mutually assured destruction. “You can’t let them try to interfere in the 2024 election by doing to Donald Trump what they’re doing.”
