(Headline USA) More than two-thirds of Americans believe Hunter Biden’s laptop is an “important” story that reveals vital information about President Joe Biden, according to a new poll.
Rasmussen Reports found that, of 1,000 U.S. voters, 66% said the laptop story is important, and 48% said it is “very important.” Just 15% said it is “not at all important.”
The poll also found that 65% of voters believe it is “likely” Joe Biden knew about his son’s foreign business deals, while only 28% say it is unlikely the future president was involved.
Nearly half of voters said they believe former President Donald Trump would have won the 2020 election if the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop had been more widely reported, the poll added.
Hunter Biden’s laptop was obtained by the New York Post in October 2020 after he abandoned it in a Delaware computer repair shop.
Its contents revealed that he was involved in a number of shady foreign business deals, and that his father, whom Hunter referred to in some emails as “the big guy” was receiving a 10% cut in at least one deal involving the Chinese government while he was serving as vice president during the Obama administration.
Because the story had the potential to sink Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, the mainstream media dismissed the laptop as “Russian misinformation” and Big Tech companies censored all reports about it.
But just last week, the New York Times admitted in a report about the federal investigation into Hunter Biden that his laptop was, in fact, legitimate.
Author Peter Schweizer predicted that the media is coming clean about the laptop now because they are preparing for the federal government to indict Hunter Biden, who is under investigation for tax fraud and money laundering, among other things.
“I think this New York Times piece, the fact that they got cooperation from Team Biden and probably from the Hunter Biden legal team, is an indication that they are extremely concerned he’s going to be indicted,” he said last week.
