Pelosi Denies ‘Escort’ Son Had Business Deals on Taiwan Trip

'His role was to be my escort... '

(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) The Pelosi family is giving the Bidens a run for their money when it comes to international corruption.

Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi secretly brought her son, Paul Jr., along on her recent junket to Taiwan, supposedly as her “escort” in absence of husband, Paul Sr., who is currently dealing with the fallout from his DUI arrest in late May, the Daily Mail reported.

Paul Jr., has business ties to China through his massive investment in Borqs Technologies, a Chinese telecom company that bills itself as “a global leader in embedded software and products for the Internet of Things (IoT),” and at least one of whose executives has been arrested for fraud, according to the Mail.

Paul Jr.’s was not listed as part of the official delegation published by Pelosi’s office in advance of her controversial visit, a diverse list which included Congressmen Gregory Meeks, Mark Takano, Suzan DelBene, Raja Krishnamoorthi, and Andy Kim — all Democrats.

In response to inquiries from the Mail, a Pelosi spokesman claimed that family members are never listed as members of congressional delegations.

“He said Pelosi Jr. travelled ‘at no expenses to the taxpayer’, that Pelosi Jr. did not conduct any business on the trip, and that ‘per decades-old policy, spouses and adult children are allowed to travel on Congressional delegations for representational purposes,'” the Mail reported.

The Speaker herself addressed media questions about Paul Jr.’s presence during an August 10th press conference.

“His role was to be my escort,” Pelosi said, who went on to insist that her so had engaged in no “business dealings” during the trip.

According to the Mail, Pelosi Jr. has accompanied Democrat politicians on visits to the Far East on a number of occasions, including a January 2016 trip to Beijing with Secretary of State John Kerry.
