Rep. MTG Becomes First Republican in Congress To Label Israel’s Actions in Gaza a Genocide

(Dave DeCamp, Antiwar.comRep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Monday described the situation in Gaza as a “genocide,” making her the first Republican member of Congress to use the term to describe the Israeli assault on the Palestinian territory.

Greene made the comments in response to the news that the pro-Israel lobby AIPAC has dropped Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) from its list of pro-Israel candidates after he said Palestinians in Gaza should “starve away” amid news of rising malnutrition deaths due to the Israeli siege. AIPAC later downplayed Fine‘s removal from the list, saying they would consider his potential endorsement later in the election cycle.

“I can only imagine how Florida’s 6th district feels now that their Representative, that they were told to vote for, openly calls for starving innocent people and children,” Greene wrote on X.

“It’s the most truthful and easiest thing to say that Oct 7th in Israel was horrific and all hostages must be returned, but so is the genocide, humanitarian crisis, and starvation happening in Gaza,” she added.

The Georgia congresswoman also said that a Jewish US representative “calling for the continued starvation of innocent people and children is disgraceful” and “will actually cause more antisemitism.”

By labeling Israel’s action in Gaza as genocide, Greene joins a short list of members of Congress who have used the term to describe the mass killing, displacement, and starvation of Gaza’s civilian population.

According to Zeteo, the only other members of Congress to use the term are nine House Democrats: Rashida Tlaib (MI), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), Ilhan Omar (MN), Ayanna Pressley (MA), Summer Lee (PA), Al Green (TX), Delia Ramirez (IL), Bonne Watson Coleman (NJ), and John Garamendi (CA).

Greene recently led an amendment to cut $500 million in military aid to Israel from the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which only received support from five other House representatives: Green, Omar, Lee, Tlaib, and Thomas Massie (R-KY), who has also been critical of Israel’s actions and wants the US to end all military aid to Israel but hasn’t publicly called its assault on Gaza a genocide.

Greene’s comments came after two leading Israeli human rights organizations released reports concluding that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, a conclusion reached by many international rights groups and genocide scholars.

2021 Meme Reveals the Relentless Devaluation of Your Money

(Mike Maharrey, Money Metals News Service) I ran across a 2021 meme the other day that vividly illustrates just how quickly the government is destroying your money.

The meme points out that in 1964, the minimum wage was $1.25, or five quarters. That sounds really low, but keep in mind that before 1965, quarters were 90 percent silver. In 2021, the melt value of those five quarters was $23.34.

In other words, the five quarters a minimum wage worker earned in an hour in 1964 had $23.34 in purchasing power in 2021. There’s your “living wage.”

That’s pretty staggering in and of itself, but now fast forward a few years. As of today, the melt value of those five quarters is $34.45.

In other words, the value (purchasing power) of those five quarters has increased by another 47.6 percent in just three and a half years!

This reflects the relentless devaluation of U.S. money.

What Happened to Our Money?

Under the Coinage Act signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1965, the U.S. Treasury removed all of the silver from dimes, quarters, and half-dollars. Instead, the government mints coins from “composites, with faces of the same alloy used in our 5-cent piece that is bonded to a core of pure copper.”

You will sometimes hear coins minted before 1965 referred to as “junk silver.”

In reality, we should call modern American coins junk.

Johnson promised that removing silver would have no impact on the value of U.S. coinage, asserting that “[The] Treasury has a lot of silver on hand, and it can be, and it will be used to keep the price of silver in line with its value in our present silver coin.”

You’ll be shocked to learn he was lying.

Richard Nixon told a similar fib when he severed the last tie between the U.S. dollar and gold. When he announced the closing of the gold window, Nixon said, “Let me lay to rest the bugaboo of what is called devaluation,” and promised, “Your dollar will be worth just as much as it is today.”

As we all know, that’s not what happened. The dollar buys a fraction of what it did in 1971, and U.S. quarters minted after 1965 are virtually worthless.

The meme tells the story. We don’t have a wage problem in the U.S.  We have a money problem. And it is rapidly getting worse.

This is why you don’t want to hold fiat currency for any amount of time. It is losing value minute by minute. You need real money – gold and silver.

Platinum Was the Top Commodity in H1

(Mike Maharrey, Money Metals News Service) Gold outperformed every major asset class in the first half of the year, but it wasn’t the top commodity. That honor goes to platinum.

Platinum charted a 49.8 percent gain through H1, rising from around $900 an ounce in January to $1,360 at the end of June. That compares with a 25.9 percent increase in the price of gold and a 24.9 percent rise in silver.

In the second quarter alone, platinum jumped over 35 percent, closing H1 at a price not seen since 2014.

Supply constraints seem to be the primary driver behind this platinum rally.

The global platinum market charted its third straight significant structural deficit last year, and we should expect these supply shortfalls to continue into the foreseeable future, according to the World Platinum Investment Council (WPIC).

Platinum demand outpaced supply by 995,000 ounces last year. That was 46 percent higher than forecast.

The WPIC expects a market deficit of around 848,000 ounces in 2025.

Above-ground stocks of platinum fell by 23 percent last year and are expected to drop another 25 percent this year. This represents less than four months of demand.

The supply deficit isn’t likely to ease soon. The WPIC notes that the metal is historically price inelastic in the short term, meaning supply and demand don’t quickly respond to price increases.

“Despite this rally, we do not anticipate any meaningful supply or demand response in the near term. Our May 2025 Platinum Quarterly forecast a -4 percent year-on-year reduction in both total platinum supply and demand in 2025, and this view remains unchanged.”

Platinum is an important component in automobile catalytic converters. Auto demand for the metal hit a 7-year high in Q1, and that pace is expected to continue through the rest of the year.

A rotation from electric vehicles to hybrids is boosting demand for platinum in the auto sector, according to the World Platinum Investment Council.

“Platinum demand is bolstered by stricter emissions legislation, increased hybrid vehicles that contain an internal combustion engine, and growth in the substitution of platinum for palladium. It is important to note that once platinum is substituted for palladium in specific vehicle platforms, this demand for platinum is likely to remain constant throughout the platform’s seven-year lifecycle, even if platinum prices rise to, or exceed, those of palladium for an extended period.”

Platinum jewelry demand also saw a healthy increase in the first quarter, rising by 5 percent year-on-year, driven by a 53 percent increase in Indian jewelry buying.

Before 2011, platinum was generally more expensive than gold. In 2015, this historical trend reversed with the spread between gold and platinum growing wider.

Platinum hit an all-time high of $2,213 an ounce in March 2008. This was higher than the record price gold hit in 2011.

It remains to be seen whether platinum will regain the price parity with gold we saw before the mid-2010s, but given the supply and demand dynamics, it is reasonable to be bullish on platinum in the near to mid-term. Given the price disparity with gold, this may signal a buying opportunity.

SELLERS: The Kremlin Called; Obama Answered

(Ben Sellers, Headline USA) On Oct. 22, 2012, during a debate with GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, then-President Barack Obama unleashed a pre-rehearsed zinger that further hobbled the milquetoast Mormon from Massachusetts, all but locking in a Democratic re-election victory.

“Gov. Romney, I’m glad that you recognize that al-Qaeda is a threat because a few months ago when you were asked what’s the biggest geopolitical threat facing America you said Russia, not al-Qaeda,” Obama haughtily began.

“You said Russia and the 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because you know the Cold War has been over for 20 years,” he continued. “But governor, you know when it comes to our foreign policy you seem to want to import the foreign policies of the 1980s just like the social policies of the 1950s and the economic policies in the 1920s.”

But even though Obama downplayed the notion that Russia was a national security threat in his debate with Romney, his actions damaged U.S./Russian relations, and the fallout continues to this day.

Indeed, Obama supported what many consider to be a 2014 CIA-led color revolution in Ukraine, ousting its Russia-friendly leader to help install the more NATO-compliant Petro Poroshenko. Thus began the ongoing war between the two nations that’s killed hundreds of thousands of young men—along with costing the U.S. taxpayer hundreds of billions of dollars in military support and other aid.

While launching a proxy war against Russia abroad, Obama ironically employed Soviet-style tactics at home. He and many others on the Left have acted as de-facto Russian agents by relying on half-truths, propaganda and outright lies to gain a political advantage when their actual ideas and policies prove to be abject failures.

Newly declassified documents released last week by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard show that Obama recycled his go-to tactic of pushing phony innuendo when he signed off on Hillary Clinton’s scheme to paint Trump as a Russian agent in July 2016.

Intelligence assessments prior to Obama’s secretive signoff appeared to have shown that Russia had a generalized desire to sow chaos in U.S. politics, which it did through a relatively innocuous social-media campaign to push disinformation. However, Putin fully expected for Clinton to win, and the Kremlin was eager to capitalize on its extensive dossier full of kompromat showing that the Obama secretary of state was mentally unstable and obsessed with power.

Nonetheless, Democrats and their deep-state flunkies laundered lies about Trump through multiple intelligence agencies and a complicit mainstream news media, using the hoax to regain control of Congress in the 2018 midterms and as one of the pretenses for stealing the 2020 election on Biden’s behalf.

The hard-proof confirmation that it was a plot knowingly contrived by top figures of the Obama administration, who seditiously conspired against the will of the American people, has again flipped the script, revealing the true threat to U.S. democracy.

Whether the Justice Department, still reeling from the public backlash over its decision to hide Jeffrey Epstein records, is able to deliver on promises to try and convict the treasonous traitors—or if, instead, it will simply be another disappointing distraction that simply reopens the long-festering wound—only time will tell.

But one question can finally be closed, which is that whatever chaos Russia hoped to sow in U.S. politics, it succeeded through the direct efforts of the Obama administration—and the very intelligence apparatus that was created to counter the threat of Soviet espionage has ultimately helped to do the KGB’s bidding.

Netanyahu To Propose a U.S.-Supported Plan To Annex Gaza

(Dave DeCamp, Antiwar.comIsraeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to propose to his political-security cabinet a US-supported plan to begin annexing the Gaza Strip, Haaretz reported on Monday.

The report said that the plan is being proposed to appease Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and prevent him from quitting the government. Smotrich is angry over Netanyahu’s steps to slightly increase humanitarian aid shipments into Gaza amid international outrage over the starvation deaths in Gaza caused by the Israeli siege.

Under the plan, Israel will declare that it is giving Hamas a few days to agree to a ceasefire, the conditions of which are unclear. Hamas’s position is that it’s willing to free all remaining Israeli captives in exchange for a permanent truce, but Israel has only entertained the idea of a temporary ceasefire.

If Hamas doesn’t agree to the proposal, Israel will then begin annexing territory with Gaza. It will start by annexing the “buffer zone” it created along Gaza’s border with Israel and areas in northern Gaza that are adjacent to the Israeli cities of Sderot and Ashkelon, with the ultimate goal of annexing the entire Palestinian territory.

The Haaretz report said that, according to details Netanyahu has already presented to government ministers, the plan has received approval from the Trump administration. Netanyahu conveyed that Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer presented the proposal to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and that it has the approval of the White House.

Since the US and Israel quit ceasefire talks last week, President Trump has hinted that he believes Israel should escalate its military assault by suggesting it needs to “finish the job” in Gaza. He also said Israel needs to “make a decision,” without specifying what that decision might be.

Sources told Haaretz that Smotrich told Netanyahu that he would “judge by actions” and that if the annexation plan moves forward, he would “remain in the government for the time being.”

Smotrich and other Israeli ministers have spoken openly about their desire for an Israeli takeover of Gaza and the ethnic cleansing of its Palestinian population. “We will occupy Gaza and make it an inseparable part of Israel,” Smotrich said at a Gaza annexation conference at the Knesset last week.

The event was titled “The Gaza Riviera – From Vision to Reality,” a nod to President Trump’s calls for a US takeover of the territory, which he has said would involve the removal of the Palestinian population. At the event, Smotrich said that Israel has the “green light from the president of the United States to turn Gaza into a prosperous strip, a resort town with employment.”

Smotrich said that a “proposed plan to relocate Gazans to other countries will serve as a means of facilitating the settlement of the strip” and that annexation could start with northern Gaza.

Netanyahu is also openly in favor of expelling Palestinians from Gaza. Back in May, Netanyahu said that enacting the “Trump plan” was a condition for ending Israel’s genocidal war. The Israeli leader also told a Knesset committee that the IDF was destroying homes in Gaza so Palestinians had nowhere to go and that their forced removal from the territory was “inevitable.”

Report: CIA Source Predicted that FBI Would Spread Pre-Planned Russiagate Hoax

(Luis CornelioHeadline USAA foreign source reportedly predicted how the FBI would spread the dubious claims behind the Trump-Russia collusion hoax, even before the bureau launched Crossfire Hurricane, the infamous probe into fictional ties between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Fox News was first to report the revelation on Monday, citing sources familiar with intelligence materials soon to be declassified by CIA Director John Ratcliffe.

The foreign source’s prediction suggests the Obama administration aimed to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the 2016 election while falsely linking Trump to the Russian government.

The documents include what Fox described as a “classified annex” tied to former Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia hoax.

“Ultimately, the release of the classified annex will lend more credibility to the assertion that there was a coordinated plan inside the U.S. government to help the Clinton campaign stir up controversy connecting Trump to Russia,” the anonymous source said.

“Mere days after this intelligence was collected, the FBI launched Crossfire Hurricane,” the source added. “It’s really hard to see how Brennan, Clapper and Comey are going to be able to explain this away.”

The declassification comes as the Trump administration continues exposing the Obama administration’s behind-the-scenes effort to fabricate the illusion that Trump won with help from Russian interference.

No evidence—under either Trump or Biden—has ever supported that claim.

FBI Russiagate Hoaxer Peter Strzok Deletes Social Media Posts, Including Potential Evidence

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) They’re all gone.

All of former FBI agent Peter Strzok’s X posts have reportedly vanished from the Wayback Machine, raising concerns that potential evidence may be lost forever following his mass deletion.

Critics noted the disappearance on Monday, as the Trump administration continues pulling back the curtain on how the Obama-era FBI worked overnight to push the Trump-Russia collusion hoax behind closed doors.

Strzok served as deputy assistant director of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division and led the bureau’s Trump-Russia probe during the 2016 election.

According to his X bio, Strzok had been active on the platform since 2018. But critics say he wiped his account shortly after Kash Patel was confirmed as FBI director in February 2025.

Headline USA could not independently verify whether Strzok deleted his emails or whether archived versions of his posts ever existed.

Users visiting the archival site and entering Strzok’s X profile link are met with a message: “Sorry. This URL has been excluded from the Wayback Machine.”

Critics also blasted the Wayback Machine for excluding the page, though users can request content be delisted from the archive.

“The FBI will raid your house to steal every digital device to you own to scour every text, every email, every search engine search, every website you ever visited, but the FBI’s top spy chief had the wayback machine purge every public tweet he ever made from the Internet forever,” said Mike Benz, director of the Foundation for Freedom Online.

Popular X account Amuse questioned whether the deletion was connected to a potential investigation—or even possible criminal conduct.

“Is the fact that there is no statute of limitation on treason the reason Peter Strzok deleted all of his X posts? Really feels like he should face some consequences for his crimes,” the page wrote. “What do you think? Remember Biden refused to give him a pardon.”

NYC Gunman Was Reportedly Targeting NFL Headquarters

(Headline USANew York City Mayor Eric Adams said Tuesday that a gunman who killed four people at a Manhattan office building was trying to target the headquarters of the National Football League but took the wrong elevator.

Investigators believe Shane Tamura was trying to get to the NFL offices after shooting several people in the building’s lobby but accidentally entered the wrong set of elevator banks, Adams said in interviews on Tuesday.

Four people, including an off-duty New York City police officer, were killed. Police said Tamura had a history of mental illness, and a rambling note found on his body suggested he had a grievance against the NFL over an unsubstantiated claim that he suffered from chronic traumatic encephalopathy. He had played football in high school in California nearly two decades ago.

The note claimed he had been suffering from CTE — the degenerative brain disease that has been linked to concussions and other repeated head trauma common in contact sports like football — and said his brain should be studied after he died, a person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press.

It also specifically referenced the National Football League, the person said.

A motive has not been determined but investigators were looking into, based on the note, whether he might’ve specifically targeted the building because it is home to the NFL’s headquarters.

Gunman Kills 5 People, Including a Cop, in Manhattan Office Building Shooting

(Headline USAA shooting at a midtown Manhattan office building on Monday left at least five people dead, including an off-duty New York City police officer.

The suspect was identified as Shane Tamura, of Nevada. Sources said he fatally shot himself.

Law enforcement officials located identification on Tamura’s body, including a concealed carry permit from Las Vegas, the sources said.

The Fire Department of New York said emergency crews were called to the Park Avenue office building around 6:30 p.m. for a report of someone shot. The building houses some of the country’s top financial firms and the National Football League.

Jessica Chen told ABC News she was watching a presentation with dozens of other people on the second floor when she “heard multiple shots go off in quick succession from the first floor.”

She and others ran into a conference room and barricaded tables against the door.

“We were honestly really, really scared,” she said, adding that she texted her parents to tell them that she loves them.

Mayor Eric Adams said multiple people were injured. He posted a clip to social media urging people still inside the office building to stay put because police officers were conducting a floor-by-floor search. The Democrat said he’s headed to the hospital to speak with the family and loved ones of those involved.

Local TV footage showed lines of people evacuating the office building with their hands above their heads. The building includes offices of Blackstone and the consulate general of Ireland.

Some finance workers at an office building down the block were picking up dinner at a corner eatery when they heard a loud noise and saw people running.

“It was like a crowd panic,” said Anna Smith, who joined the workers pouring back into the finance office building. They remained there for about two hours before being told they could leave.

The building where the shooting happened is in a busy area of midtown, located a short walk north from Grand Central Terminal and about a block east of St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

The city’s emergency management alert system warned of traffic delays, road closures and disruptions to public transportation in the area.

Through late July, New York City is on pace to have its fewest murders and fewest people hurt by gunfire than any year in recent decades.

Trump Seeks to Depose Rupert Murdoch in WSJ Lawsuit over Epstein Story

(Headline USAPresident Donald Trump is asking a federal court in Florida to force Rupert Murdoch to give a deposition for the president’s lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal within 15 days, citing the media mogul’s age and physical condition.

Trump sued the Journal, owned by Murdoch, in the U.S. District Court of southern Florida on July 18 for its story reporting on the Republican president’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the financier and alleged child sex trafficker who died in a New York jail in 2019 before trial.

The president’s motion to the court on Monday noted Murdoch is 94 years old, is believed to have suffered several health scares in recent years, and is presumed to live in New York.

“Taken together, these factors weigh heavily in determining that Murdoch would be unavailable for in-person testimony at trial,” Trump’s request to the court said.

A spokesman for Murdoch’s News Corp. did not immediately return a request for comment. Trump’s motion said that, in a telephone conversation, Murdoch’s lawyer indicated he would oppose the effort.
