Wisc. Leftist Judge Faces Impeachment Threats After Latest Political Stunt

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Janet Protasiewicz, the newly elected and leftist member of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, is facing imminent threats of impeachment after refusing to recuse herself from a contentious gerrymandering case. 

The controversy erupted when the leftist majority of the court decided to hear a case against Republican-drawn districts through a method known as “original action,” allowing the case to bypass the state’s trial and appellate courts, the New York Times reported on Oct. 6.

The dissent among the conservative justices regarding the case was clear, with three of them cautioning against it. Republican lawmakers swiftly demanded that Protasiewicz recuse herself, but she firmly rejected these efforts.

“Recusal decisions are controlled by the law,” Protasiewicz claimed in a 47-page decision to remain on the case. “They are not a matter of personal preference. If precedent requires it, I must recuse. But if precedent does not warrant recusal, my oath binds me to participate.” 

The call for her recusal had escalated in recent weeks, with Republicans in the state assembly openly threatening impeachment if she didn’t comply with their demands.  

Notably, Protasiewicz won a highly contested election in April, where she strongly campaigned against the Republican Party’s agenda, particularly highlighting her opposition to gerrymandering, which she referred to as a “rigged” map during her campaign. 

Conservative members of the supreme court expressed their dissatisfaction with the decision to accept the case, thereby bypassing the lower courts. 

“Four members of this court have chosen to chip away at the public’s faith in the judiciary as an independent, impartial institution, undermine foundational judicial principles such as stare decisis, and cast a hyperpartisan shadow of judicial bias over the decisions of this court,” conservative Justice Annette Ziegler wrote.  

“Such shortsighted behavior demonstrates the court majority’s sheer will to expedite a preconceived outcome for a particular constituency. This abandonment of their judicial oath is disappointing,” she added. 

If the Wisconsin Assembly proceeds with impeachment, Protasiewicz would be barred from hearing any cases pending a ruling by the state’s Senate. Conviction or acquittal would require a two-thirds majority in the Senate.

Interestingly, according to the Times, Republicans currently hold precisely the number of seats needed to secure such a majority.

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Gov. Greg Abbott, R–Texas, published a press release on Thursday, in which he announced several agenda items, among which were banning private employers from imposing COVID-19 vaccine mandates on others and jailing illegal immigrants.

Among other agenda items for the Legislature’s third Special Session that will convene on Oct. 9, 2023, was also the legislation that would ensure parental rights in education.

“I am bringing the Texas Legislature back for Special Session #3 to continue building on the achievements we accomplished during the 88th Regular Legislative Session and two special sessions this summer,” Abbott wrote in the press release.

He then talked about improving the education of Texas children by giving their parents more options.

“Together, we will chart a brighter future for all Texas children by empowering parents to choose the best education option for their child,” he wrote.

Abbot then brought up Joe Biden’s desire to flood the United States with illegal immigrants, adding that the state of Texas will “mirror” Biden’s policies.

“Texas will also pass laws to mirror the federal immigration laws President Joe Biden refuses to enforce that will reduce illegal immigration and enhance the safety of Texans. For the first time ever, Texas will subject people to arrest for illegal entry into our state from a foreign nation,” he wrote.

After that, Abbott explained how exactly that would be enforced.

“All licensed law enforcement officers in Texas will be authorized to arrest or remove any person who illegally enters the State, with penalties of up to 20 years in prison for refusing to comply with removal. To crack down on repeated attempts to enter Texas illegally, re-entry will be penalized with up to 20 years in prison,” he wrote.

Abbott also mentioned that Texans should be protected from COVID-19 mandates.

“Additionally, we must protect the freedom of Texans from forced COVID-19 vaccinations. I look forward to working with my partners in the Legislature to address these critical issues,” he wrote.

Since going woke during the 2018 election, Taylor Swift, one of the most popular pop stars in the world, is constantly being used by the leftist establishment to push its social and political agenda to her millions of fans, including voter-registration drives that she has used in the past to try to assist Democrats in places like her home state of Tennessee.

Swift’s much-hyped relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, which has dominated sports coverage for the past two weeks, may result in the beloved American sport becoming even more woke, according to The Blaze’s Jason Whitlock.

He noted that the Left always has a way of richly rewarding public figures who betray their fans in services of its agenda—take, for example, Kaepernick’s lucrative marketing contracts with Nike and other brands.

“When you sell out, when you’re willing to throw away all of your value and hand your balls away and give them to a woman to put in a jar, they’ll send you the best in the business,” Whitlock said on his show. “They’ll send you one of the biggest icons in all of the world.”

Whitlock speculated that the leftist establishment that wants to control the people who worship these celebrities promised Kelce a “little skinny white girl” as a part of the deal.

In return, he noted, Kelce has been brought on to help rehabilitate Bud Light, the fallen brand that conservative boycotts drove into the ground after its decision to make transgender personality Dylan Mulvaney a spokesperson.

“Bud Light makes a fool of itself, ruins its business putting this ‘transgender man’ on a beer can and here comes Travis Kelce to the rescue,” Whitlock said.

“Travis Kelce, one of the biggest football stars, tough guy, headed to the Hall of Fame… yeah, he’ll fix it! He’ll cape up for Bud Light,” he added.

Kelce also took money from Big Pharma to promote vaccines—a way of negating the vaccine skepticism promoted by star quarterback Aaron Rodgers and others in the league.

“Now he comes back with another bag from Pfizer promoting the vaccine,” Whitlock said. “What professional athlete in the prime of his life and health would be out promoting the vaccine given all the data about the injuries and whatnot?”

After that, Whitlock reminded everyone of the reason why these celebrities and athletes, in particular, would do such a thing.

“That’s what these athletes will go for. They don’t stand for anything,” he said.

“… They all virtually would [do that] because they’re all controlled by money,” he added. “They’re radical materialists. They don’t have a set of values they stick to.”

He also explained that the establishment wants fans to have the same way of thinking.

“They want you to worship these guys and look up to them because they want to normalize the ‘hey, I don’t have a set of values; I do whatever the money tells me to do!’ [way of thinking],” Whitlock said.

As it was previously reported by the woke and taxpayer-funded NPR, this strategy seems to work because Swift was able to help drive a surge in voter registration after telling her fans to do that and, considering that Swift’s fans share her political beliefs, like being a feminist and supporting abortion, it is not a surprise who they would vote for in the upcoming 2024 election.

When it comes to Kelce, Whitlock said that he will be forced to adopt and push all of the leftist talking points and ideas that Swift has.

“As long as he’s involved with Taylor Swift, he’s got no shot… Kelce will have to be a hardcore leftist to maintain this relationship with Taylor Swift because that’s what her industry requires and that’s what the sports industry now requires,” he said.

People responded to Whitlock’s commentary in the video’s comment section on YouTube.

“The only question I have is who’s gonna break Kelce’s heart first: the jab or Swift,” one person wrote.

(Headline USA) A woman approaches a drop box in the dark with what appears to be handfuls of ballots. At a different drop box, someone else is seen making multiple trips to insert ballots. At yet another, the same car stops on at least three separate occasions, with different people stepping out and heading to the box.

The video footage has become central to a public fight about Democrats cheating other Democrats by stuffing ballot drop boxes.

The accusations of fraud via drop box are being made by Democrats — two candidates vying for mayor in Connecticut’s largest city, in a heavily Democratic state that began allowing drop boxes to be used during the COVID-19 tyranny.

State Rep. Doug Dubitsky, a Republican, evoked the movie “2000 Mules” during a legislative debate over the controversy surrounding the Bridgeport mayor’s race.

“How do we know that it’s only Bridgeport?” said Dubitsky, who represents an area of the state that has grown more conservative in the Trump era.

“This exact same thing could be happening in every single municipality in this state. We should get rid of these boxes completely.”

Among the many legitimate concerns that have fueled skepticism of the 2020 election on the right are those surrounding ballot drop boxes.

American citizens have pointed to the investigation as evidence for their concerns about widespread fraud connected to ballot drop boxes.

The videos and the fact that the claims are being pushed by two Democrats further demonstrate that drop boxes are vehicles for election mischief.

The videos have trickled out in the weeks since the Sept. 12 primary in the Bridgeport mayor’s race between incumbent Joe Ganim and his challenger, John Gomes, the city’s former chief administrative officer.

Gomes, who lost by 251 votes out of 8,173 cast, filed an election challenge a week later after a video appeared to show a Ganim supporter putting several envelopes into a drop box outside a city hall annex in the early morning.

Ganim, who has denied involvement, is pointing to another batch of videos posted online that appear to show Gomes’ supporters making multiple stops at other ballot drop boxes. Gomes has said he has spoken with those shown in the videos and been told they were dropping off ballots for relatives.

In Connecticut, voters using a drop box must return their completed ballot themselves or designate certain family members, police, local election officials or a caregiver to do it for them.

A judge will hear arguments in Gomes’ legal challenge this coming Thursday, with testimony expected over several days. Gomes is asking the judge to declare him the winner or order a new primary election.

The state has launched its own investigation.

Republican lawmakers, who had raised concerns about the security of drop boxes during the pandemic, said the Bridgeport videos prove they were correct.

“No one can tell me that there are not people across this country, and certainly in this state, certainly in the last couple of weeks, that are not questioning the integrity of our elections. And I’m talking about people in both political parties,” said state Sen. Rob Sampson, the Senate’s top Republican on the General Assembly’s Government Elections and Administration Committee.

“This is not isolated to President Trump saying the election was stolen in 2020.”

Since the 2020 election, five states have moved to ban ballot drop boxes while six have moved to limit their availability, according to data collected by the Voting Rights Lab, which tracks voting-related legislation in the states and advocates for expanded voter access.

(Headline USA) California‘s Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom has banned certain ingredients in candy and soda-pops.

California on Saturday became the first state to ban four chemicals used in well-known candies and other foods and drinks because of their link to certain health problems.

Newsom signed a law banning a chemical used as food coloring for products like Peeps, the marshmallow treat most associated with Easter.

The law also bans brominated vegetable oil, which is used in some store brand sodas, and potassium bromate and propylparaben, two chemicals used in baked goods.

Newsom said in a signing statement that the additives addressed in the bill are already banned in various other countries.

The bill was authored by Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel, a Democrat from Los Angeles.

“The Governor’s signature today represents a huge step forward in our effort to protect children and families in California from dangerous and toxic chemicals in our food supply,” Gabriel said in a statement Saturday.

The law doesn’t take effect until 2027.

(Headline USA) Smith & Wesson, a company that manufactures guns, hosted a grand opening of its new Tennessee headquarters Saturday after moving from its longtime home in Massachusetts to a more gun-friendly state.

The company built a new 650,000-square feet (60,387-square meters) headquarters in Maryville, Tennessee, as part of a $125 million relocation plan announced in 2021.

Tours were offered at the new facility on Saturday.

The company had been located in Springfield, Massachusetts, since the mid-19th century. However, company officials said that legislative proposals in that state would ban them from manufacturing certain weapons, and thus obviously ban the full operation of their businesses.

Massachusetts is known to have some of the country’s most restrictive gun laws.

Smith & Wesson President and CEO Mark Smith spoke at the event Saturday, which drew a large crowd to the new facility, The Daily Times reported.

“From where I stand, the next 170 years of Smith & Wesson are looking pretty good,” Smith said. “It is something special here in Tennessee.”

He cited a welcoming regulatory environment and close collaboration with the Tennessee state government as a crucial piece of the plan to relocate. The company has said the new facility would create hundreds of jobs.

Tennessee has moved to protect gun rights in recent years under Republican leadership.

In 2021, the state passed a law that recognized every American’s natural right to own a firearm by allowing most adults to carry handguns without a permit, which has become known as constitutional carry.

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A New York appeals judge has delivered a significant victory for former President Donald Trump, allowing him temporary access to his company after Judge Arthur Engoron ordered the dissolution of the Trump Organization.

The decision comes amidst a high-profile civil case brought against Trump by New York Attorney General Letitia James, accusing the former president of inflating his finances to receive low-interest loans. 

While Judge Engoron’s initial order to dissolve the Trump Organization was not overturned, the appellate judge did grant Trump access to his company, refusing to halt the ongoing trial.

The ruling came after Trump’s attorneys Clifford Robert, Michael Farina and Michael Madaio filed an emergency motion against Engorron, arguing that the judge did not “comprehend the scope of the chaos (his) decision has wrought.” 

James is seeking a substantial $250 million payout from the Trump Organization, citing damages resulting from the alleged financial misconduct. 

She has also sought a court order to prevent the companies from conducting business in New York, which had raised concerns about the potential seizure of Trump’s skyscrapers, including the flagship Manhattan-based Trump Tower. 

In response to the ruling, the Trump Organization expressed its gratitude to the appellate judge. 

“Judge Engoron’s order erroneously sought to adjudicate the rights of non-party business entities that employ nearly 1,000 hard-working New Yorkers, have never been accused of any wrongdoing and were never given their day in court – in clear violation of their fundamental Constitutional rights and Due Process,” the organization stated, as reported by the Mail. 

The statement continued, “We will continue to vigorously defend our company and our incredible employees from this gross overreach and politically-motivated persecution.” 

The legal battle started when James, as a Democrat candidate for attorney general, promised to take down Trump businesses if elected. “I look forward to going into the office of attorney general every day, suing [Trump], defending your rights and then going home,” James pledged in a 2018 video.

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) As Israeli forces mobilize to Gaza in response to an offensive by Hamas terrorists, several disturbing videos have emerged on social media, depicting Hamas militants kidnapping Israeli women and children.

One video shows an alleged German woman citizen lying motionless behind a pickup truck, while another shows an Israeli woman, her buttocks covered in blood or dirt, in a harrowing situation.

In one gut-wrenching clip, Noa Argamani, a student, pleads for her life as she is forcibly taken away by militants on a motorcycle. “Don’t kill me! No, no no,” she can be heard begging. Her boyfriend, Avi Nathan, remains distraught and missing since the incident, as reported on Saturday by the Daily Mail.

The horrifying events unfolded during a peace festival in the desert, which was shattered by the sudden invasion by Hamas militants, leaving a devastating toll with at least 450 individuals dead and over 2,500 injured. 

Another distressing video shows a Hamas militant violently pulling an Israeli woman by her hair, seemingly attempting to take her back to Gaza. The victim, her buttocks covered in blood, is forcibly moved from the vehicle’s trunk to the back seat, all while bystanders can be heard shouting “Allahu Akbar.” 

In yet another chilling video, it is reported that 30-year-old Shani Louk, a German citizen, lost her life tragically. Her lifeless, half-naked body is seen being paraded in the back of a pickup truck, with a crowd of men chanting “Allahu Akbar” in unison.

Disturbingly, reports indicate that Hamas is also targeting elderly individuals. One image depicts a woman seated on a golf cart, surrounded by heavily armed men who forcibly took her into Gaza. Another photograph captures an elderly woman holding a gun, seemingly at the demand of a Hamas militant, while showing the peace sign with her free hand.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Hamas militants, emphasizing their responsibility for the well-being of captives. 

“I tell Hamas, you are responsible for the wellbeing of captives, Israel will settle the score with anyone who harms them,” Netanyahu said.  

Furthermore, Netanyahu declared that Israel is at war with Hamas. “We are at war, and we will win,” Netanyahu said in a message to Israelis. “The enemy will pay an unprecedented price.”

Nancy Pelosi Breaks Silence on Betrayal of Kevin McCarthy

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has finally addressed the allegations of a secret deal involving former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and the contentious “motion to vacate” rule.  

In a Friday interview with Los Angeles-based reporter Elex Michaelson, Pelosi denied ever telling McCarthy that House Democrats would protect him in a potential ousting effort. 

“Kevin McCarthy says that you essentially broke a promise to him to keep Democrats with him if there was a vote against him. Is that not true?” Michaelson asked Pelosi.

Pelosi responded, “Not really. I had no promise to him. Our Democratic members made that decision.”

The Oct. 3 motion to vacate, led by Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., saw a surprising alliance between staunch conservatives and the Democratic caucus in the House of Representatives. This alliance resulted in McCarthy’s removal from his position, marking the first time in U.S. history that a speaker had been ousted. 

McCarthy, in the aftermath of his removal on Oct. 3, directly accused Pelosi and Democrats of failing to protect him. Specifically, McCarthy claimed that Pelosi had indeed promised to safeguard his position.

“Nancy Pelosi came to me, she was speaker at the time, on the way out, and I told her I was having issues with getting enough votes,” McCarthy remarked in a speech following the expulsion. “And she said, ‘What’s the problem?’ I said, ‘They want this one person can rule you out.’” 

McCarthy continued, “And she said, ‘Just give it to them. I’ll always back you up.’”

The California Republican expressed his belief that the decision to remove him was purely political and voiced concerns about the potential harm inflicted on the institution. “My fear is the institution fell today,” McCarthy said. 

Despite McCarthy’s claims, the purported agreement between him and Pelosi had no impact on the outcome, as House Democrats joined forces with Gaetz and seven other GOP lawmakers to expel him from his role as speaker.

So far, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., announced their bid to replace McCarthy.

Hunter Biden’s Alleged Tax Crimes Tied to Daughter’s College Fund

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) IRS criminal investigators contemplated filing felony tax charges against Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, following revelations that he withdrew $40,000 from his daughter’s college fund and failed to report it as income.  

The funds, originally intended to support Maisy Biden’s college education, were reportedly squandered on crack cocaine and prostitutes, according to an article by the Daily Mail on Oct. 6.

These startling details emerged during the testimony of IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler, a former special agent, before the Republican-led House Ways and Means Committee. 

Ziegler stated, “At the time of our prosecution referral, we had originally recommended felony tax charges for RHB [Robert Hunter Biden] for the 2019 tax year.” These returns, he alleged, included tax evasion and false returns. 

“RHB had failed to report the income related to a distribution he had taken from one his children’s 529 Plan in 2019, additional income of approximately $39,820,” Ziegler continued. 

The Mail reported that Hunter’s decision to withdraw the money occurred after his private bankers at Wells Fargo warned him that he had only 44 cents in his accounts. In response to this dire financial situation, Hunter reportedly instructed the bankers to “Liquidate what you can.”

According to the Mail, at the time of this withdrawal, Maisy was a high school senior. Reports suggest that she, along with her two older sisters and her parents, attempted to stage an intervention for Hunter at the president’s Delaware home just weeks earlier to convince him to return to rehab. 

Hunter corroborated these reports in his 2021 memoir, in which he admitted to promising to attend rebab but instead chose to smoke crack in a hotel and hook up with prostittues.

Despite these allegations, Hunter has not faced any charges related to tax evasion. However, Special Counsel David Weiss, who is leading the investigation into Hunter, has recently charged him with an alleged illegal gun purchase.
