Daily Wire Launches New Kids App to Compete w/ Disney

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The conservative news platform, the Daily Wire, announced on Tuesday the unveiling of a new kids app, Bentkey, set to challenge the dominance of the renowned entertainment giant, Disney.

With an impressive roster of 150 episodes across 18 children’s shows, Bentkey aims to position itself as a formidable rival to Disney, which has been entangled in controversies for promoting left-leaning agendas among children.

“While Disney still uses Walt’s name, they have all but abandoned his legacy,” Boreing said. “Walt Disney loved America. The company he founded seems to think America is systemically racist, and beyond just their content Disney as a corporation pushes all the worst excesses of the woke Left.”

He added, “It would be impossible to overstate just how big a loss this is for Americans who believe in basic reality. Disney controls the greatest content library ever created.”

The app’s name, Bentkey, derives from the bent key that Boreing has worn around his neck for nearly three decades.

Unlike the DailyWire+’s app, which houses a collection of the platform’s shows, the kids’ app operates independently.

“Bentkey isn’t about teaching kids politics. It’s about childhood and wonder and adventure … [and is] dedicated to creating the next generation of timeless stories that transport kids into a world of imagination and joy, a world of content and characters that families will love and parents can trust.”

With an increasing number of parents expressing concerns about Disney’s leftist narrative, Bentkey is poised to serve as a compelling alternative.

“It’s taken 100 years to build Disney,” Boreing added. “We know we aren’t what Disney is today, but we hope in time we might become what they were, once upon a time: a little studio with big ideas and the courage to chase them.”

Fetterman Pushes Dubious Claim His Parents Voted for Trump at UAW Rally

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) In a recent exchange with a striking union member, Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., claimed that his Democrat parents voted for former President Donald Trump.

Fetterman reportedly joined members of the United Auto Workers on their picket line last week in Macungie, Pa., just outside of Allentown.

While the county of Lehigh, in which it resides, went 53.2% for Joe Biden in the 2020 election, neighboring Berks County went 53.4% for then-President Donald Trump, underscoring the deep divisions in the region whose economy has historically been driven by mining and steel manufacturing.

A 55-second video posted to Twitter showed Fetterman, dressed in his traditional garb of a hoodie and basketball shorts, engaging with a picketer who had expressed his support for Trump.

“…Trump. That’s all right, my parents did, too,” he said. “It’s nothing personal.”

The constituent agreed with that point, noting that it wasn’t a personal beef with Fetterman but the fact that his “policies are bad.”

Fetterman, while simultaneously checking his phone, then accused the former president of ignoring his constituents.

“That’s OK, that’s OK,” he said told the Trump supporter. “I hope it does matter that one of us is here, and the other one [Trump] isn’t.”

While unions traditionally have supported Democrat candidates, Trump did, in fact, offer his support to UAW workers at a Detroit rally in September, stirring panic among Democrats that he could poach another reliably blue coalition, as he has done with many blocs of minority voters.

Fetterman continued to lay it on thick, suggesting that—despite his having drawn an allowance from his wealthy parents until age 49—he, too identified as a blue-collar worker.

“No matter who you vote for, I truly hope it all works out for you and the workers, and that’s all that really matters to me,” he said. “I just hope you understand that … I’m always going to be on the side of the workers.”

Both Fetterman and his parents, Karl and Susan, have previously claimed that the two elder Fettermans were Republicans, prompting, The Federalist last year to investigate.

“We want to tell you something about John Fetterman. He was raised by two Trump-voting Republicans right here in this house in York,” his parents claimed in a campaign video.

However, it was discovered soon thereafter that both had registered as Democrats in 2016 and voted in the Democratic primaries that same year.

Biden May Have Hidden Classified Docs Linked to Hunter’s Shady Dealings

0

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, raised alarming questions Monday as he pressed the DOJ regarding a batch of classified documents found in President Joe Biden’s office and home in Delaware.

Comer’s inquiry centered around whether any of the sensitive documents were linked to the contentious business dealings of the president’s son, Hunter Biden.

“Evidence suggests President Biden may have used certain members of his family—particularly his son, Hunter Biden—to accumulate millions of dollars from foreign individuals and entities for the benefit of his family and himself,” Comer underscored in a letter addressed to Special Counsel Robert Hur, who is leading the investigation into the classified documents.

With the Oversight Committee spearheading an impeachment inquiry into alleged corruption within the Biden family, Comer emphasized the necessity of gaining access to any documents that might shed light on potential compromises to national security.

“If any of the classified documents mishandled by President Biden involved countries or individuals that had financial dealings with Biden family members or their related companies, the Committee needs access to that information to evaluate whether our national security has been compromised,” Comer asserted in the letter.

The classified documents were first uncovered in January 2023. According to CNN, federal investigators stumbled upon classified documents, some marked “top secret,” within the president’s office at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C. The documents reportedly contained information about Ukraine, Iran and the United Kingdom.

The Oversight Committee’s investigation has exposed the Biden family’s alleged business entanglements in several countries, including China, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Romania.

Comer and other IRS whistleblowers have also alleged that these enterprises were established under dubious circumstances, with purported “shell companies” allegedly used to funnel money away from the IRS.

President Biden has consistently denied any involvement in his son’s business affairs. However, whistleblower testimonies, incriminating text messages and phone calls, and other compelling evidence explicitly contradicted the president’s assertions, contributing to the ongoing impeachment inquiry

“The Committee seeks to further understand why President Biden retained certain classified documents, if such information related to any of his family’s foreign business interactions, and why so many White House officials were involved in obtaining these materials,” the letter concluded.

MSNBC Accused of ‘Ethnic Cleansing’ for Ousting 3 Al Jazeera Propagandists

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) The far-left cable network MSNBC has been experiencing quite a dilemma over how to cover the recent terrorist attack on Israel, an issue which has Democrats divided down the middle with little room for compromise.

After facing heavy criticism last week from the Anti-Defamation League for its sympathetic coverage of Hamas, the network appears to have over-corrected—at least according to some—by removing three former Al Jazeera propagandists from their anchor positions, citing solidarity with the Jewish state, Semafor reported.

“We have and will continue to cover the barbaric terrorist attacks on defenseless civilians in Israel last weekend and the tragic war it has provoked thoroughly and in all their dimensions,” Stephen Labaton, NBCUniversal’s executive vice president of communications, wrote in a statement.

MSNBC recently canceled the Mehdi Hasan Show on Peacock and reversed its former plan for Ayman Mohyeldin to fill in for Joy Reid on Thursdays and Fridays.

It also pulled Ali Velshi—who interviewed a Palestinian Authority spokesman on Sunday—from his show, and replaced him with Alicia Menendez.

Oddly, MSNBC claimed that the simultaneous moves were “coincidental” and not related to the conflict in the Middle East.

The Al Jazeera network where the three correspondents cut their teeth is notorious for being the state-run mouthpiece of Qatar, an Islamic monarchy that, like Saudi Arabia, has a mutually amicable relationship with the West but a questionable track record of supporting typical democratic freedoms—as some discovered during the most recent World Cup.

Moreover, Mohyeldin, the network’s most experienced reporter in Gaza, has a history of aggressively questioning Israel’s policies and leadership, particularly with respect to the nation–state’s relations to Palestine. He was pulled from the air temporarily in 2014, with MSNBC citing undisclosed “security reasons.”

But while it may have had good reasons for its decision, MSNBC now faces wild accusations of “ethnic cleansing” and other equally outlandish charges for the removal of the three Muslim news hosts.

According to the Semafor report, the conflict has caused much turmoil within the ranks at MSNBC.

Per the report, an NBCUniversal employee created a Slack channel dedicated to supporting those at the company who were aggrieved by the conflict.

But the channel quickly devolved into a tense debate about the relative merits of Hamas and Israel. Engaged in that debate was Ali Velshi’s producer.

“There’s no Palestinian representation at this?” Velshi’s producer asked, adding that some in the chat had written “incredibly offensive things” about Muslims.

DHS Faces Calls to Deport Foreigners Who Voiced Support for Hamas

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., has intensified pressure on the Department of Homeland Security to act against foreign nationals expressing support for Hamas within the United States.

In a scathing Oct. 16 letter addressed to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Cotton demanded the immediate deportation of these individuals, particularly those on student visas.

“I write to urge you to immediately deport any foreign national—including and especially any alien on a student visa—that has expressed support for Hamas and its murderous attacks on Israel,” the letter said. “These fifth-columnists have no place in the United States.”

Citing federal law, Cotton highlighted that the admission of individuals endorsing terrorism is strictly prohibited.

“Federal law is clear that any alien who ‘endorses or espouses terrorist activity or persuades others to endorse or espouse terrorist activity or support a terrorist organization’ is inadmissible and must be deported,” Cotton emphasized.

“Swiftly removing and permanently barring from future reentry any foreign student who signed onto or shared approvingly the anti-Semitic letter from the Harvard Palestine Solidarity Committee on October 7 would be a good place to start,” the letter added.

Cotton’s concern stems from recent incidents, notably the controversy surrounding over 30 students at Harvard University who signed a contentious letter blaming Israel for the violence, disregarding the over 1,400 Israeli citizens who lost their lives in the attacks orchestrated by Hamas terrorists.

Cotton reiterated that while U.S. citizens are safeguarded by the First Amendment, such protections do not extend to those advocating terrorism within the country

“The appalling explosion of anti-Semitism in the United States over the past few weeks should disturb anyone who shares American values,” Cotton warned. “While American citizens may have a First Amendment right to speak disgusting vitriol if they so choose, no foreign national has a right to advocate for terrorism in the United States.”

Radical Judge’s Major Violation of Trump’s Free Speech Sets Conservatives Ablaze

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Federal Judge Tanya Chutkan’s Monday decision to impose a gag order on former President Donald Trump, restricting his ability to publicly comment amid his presidential primary campaign, has stirred a furious response from conservatives.

The D.C. judge defended her contentious ruling on the grounds protecting witnesses in the ongoing DOJ prosecution of Trump’s alleged involvement in efforts to question the 2020 presidential election.

“First Amendment protections yield to the administration of justice and to the protection of witnesses,” said Chutkan, an Obama appointee. “His presidential candidacy does not give him carte blanche to vilify … public servants who are simply doing their job.”

Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, swiftly condemned the decision, denouncing it as an affront to the constitutional right to free speech.

“Just a direct assault on the First Amendment,” Vance said via Twitter on Monday. “Disgraceful. Something that should be appealed as quickly as possible all the way to the Supreme Court.”

Echoing this sentiment, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., criticized the judge’s previous rulings and compared them to her treatment of Trump.

“Judge Chutkan thinks that illegal minors have the constitutional right to an abortion but does not believe a former President and top Presidential candidate has the right to free speech and the right to defend himself from his opponent’s weaponized DOJ against him,” Greene said

Fellow Rep. Diana Harshbarger, R-Tenn., drew attention to the reported politization of the DOJ. “Biden’s weaponized DOJ will do whatever it takes to silence his chief political opposition and interfere in the 2024 Presidential Election,” she said. “This is persecution through prosecution and an attack on our Constitutional Rights.”

The controversy drew attention from conservative media personalities, including prominent Fox News host Mark Levin, who denounced Chutkan’s ruling as another instance of left-wing judicial overreach.

“Leftist judge issues another outrageous order, violating President Trump’s free speech rights and further interfering with the election, as if Trump is a threat to some trying to put him in prison the rest of his life,” Levin asserted, adding, “Stalin would be proud.”

Trump has long been known for his unreserved use of social media platforms to express his views and communicate directly with his supporters.

It isn’t immediately clear whether Trump would appeal the decision.

BREAKING: Biden Prepared to Deploy Troops for Israel’s War

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Pentagon has notified American troops to “be ready to deploy” to Israel to assist in the country’s counterinsurgency against Hamas, according to breaking media reports.

Fox News reported Monday that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has put in “be ready to deploy” orders for a select number of American troops. Fox’s report followed an article from the Wall Street Journal, which reported that around 2,000 troops were selected this weekend for potential deployment.

“Top officials stressed that this deployment would not be for a combat role, but for advising and medically supporting Israeli forces,” Fox said.

Additionally, the Associated Press reported that the troops would “not be sent to Israel but could be sent to countries in the region.” The personnel that have been selected are reportedly from across the US armed services, and some are already in the Middle East while others are outside the region.

The U.S has also deployed two aircraft carriers into the region.

The Pentagon’s preparations come as Israel continues to bombard the Gaza Strip ahead of an expected ground operation.

Politico reported last week that the U.S. decided not to send troops into Gaza to rescue hostages. But as antiwar.com’s Dave DeCamp noted, the issue could be revised, and the idea of the U.S. military entering Gaza has not been excluded as an option.

Biden’s preparations have already been met with opposition.

“I fully support Israel’s right to defend themselves and they are very good at handling that, but I do not support sending them our own U.S. military troops,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., said on Twitter. “Our military should be defending our own border security from the invasion happening here.”

Treasury Secretary: American Taxpayer Can ‘Certainly’ Afford to Fund 2 Wars Simultaneously

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has apparently adopted Barack Obama’s “Yes we can!” campaign slogan when it comes to answering questions about whether the U.S. government can afford to fund wars in both Ukraine and the Middle East.

Yellen was recently asked whether the U.S. can afford another war given its precarious fiscal position. National debt has skyrocketed to $33 trillion, and rising interest rates now have the debt increasing by about $1 trillion every three months.

But that’s not a problem, according to Yellen.

“Absolutely, American can afford to stand with Israel and to support Israel’s military needs. And we also can and must support Ukraine in its struggle against Russia,” said Yellen, who is Jewish.

In the same interview, the Treasury Secretary also claimed that “the American economy is doing extremely well.” Her comment was made on the heels of a higher-than-expected inflation report.

At least for now, the Biden administration reportedly looks to support both Ukraine and Israel—as well as Taiwain. The Washington Post reported last week that the White House planned to link aid for the three countries in an effort to “jam the far right”—forcing MAGA Republicans to choose between fiscal responsibility and supporting ostensible allies.

However, White House spokesperson John Kirby has signaled that the end of funding for Ukraine could be near.

“We’re coming here to the end of the rope. Today we announced $200 million, and we’ll keep that aid going as long as we can,” he said last week. “But it’s not going to be indefinite.”

Kirby told reporters “active conversations” are going on to aid all three countries.

“I’m not prepared to detail those conversations for you right now or, or tell you what the parameters are going to be, because, frankly, those parameters haven’t been yet arrived at or even decided upon, but we are in active discussions about additional funding,” he reportedly said.

Antiwar.com editor Dave DeCamp said the size of the supplemental package President Biden will request is unclear.

“He previously asked for an additional $24 billion to fund the Ukraine war, but it was never approved by Congress,” DeCamp wrote Thursday. “The administration has been discussing the idea of a full-year spending package for Ukraine that could be as large as $100 billion, an idea popular among hawks in the Senate.”

The House needs to appoint a speaker before it can consider Biden’s aid package.

Report: Jeffrey Epstein Victim Dies under Suspicious Circumstances

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) A Jeffrey Epstein sex-trafficking victim who testified against his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, has reportedly died under mysterious circumstances.

The Daily Beast reported Saturday that Carolyn Andriano, whose testimony was crucial to putting away Maxwell in 2021, was found unresponsive in a West Palm Beach hotel room on May 23.

West Palm Beach police opened an investigation into Andriano’s death, but told The Daily Beast that the investigation was concluding and that she died of an accidental overdose. According to The Daily Beast, Andriano’s mother is furious with the outcome.

“She was all set up for a whole new lifestyle,” the mother, Dorothy Groenert, told the outlet.

“It shouldn’t be closed,” Groenert reportedly said of the police investigation.

“I begged them, I sent them numerous messages. I’ve asked for them to make meetings, contact me, and to no avail,” she added.

The Daily Beast reported that Andriano was a 36-year-old mother of five children, who had recently purchased property in North Carolina with her husband, John Pitts.

However, Pitts apparently doesn’t think Andriano’s death was that suspicious.

Pitts reportedly told police that Andriano had been using drugs. He declined to comment to The Daily Beast, but his sister reportedly scoffed at the notion that Andriano’s death was linked to the Epstein network.

“Right now our family is grieving the loss of Carolyn and prioritizing the care of her children. At this time we kindly appreciate space and privacy,” the sister reportedly said in a text, saying that the suggestion that Andriano’s death was suspicious is “ridiculous.”

A toxicology report indicates Carolyn had methadone, fentanyl, and alprazolam (the generic name for Xanax) in her system when she died, The Daily Beast added.

Now, Andriano’s widower and mother are in a legal dispute over her assets.

Andriano’s will that she made in 2010 left her estate to her mother.

“Because the will hadn’t been updated, Pitts and his three kids with Carolyn were left out of her estate. Carolyn had received millions from Epstein-related settlements, though probate court documents indicate she had $183,000 in a bank account,” The Daily Beast said.

“The filings also listed unknown assets as the JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank class action settlements—which … amount to $290 million and $75 million, respectively, and will result in big payouts to victims.”

CIA Veteran Takes over RFK Jr.’s Presidential Campaign

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign has been taken over by a veteran of an agency said to have been responsible for the assassination of his uncle, President John F. Kennedy.

The Kennedy campaign announced Friday that RFK’s daughter-in-law, former CIA employee Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, replaced former congressman Dennis Kucinich.

“Amaryllis is a woman of extraordinary intelligence and drive who, I am confident, will take this campaign to the next level,” Kennedy said in a statement.

Fox Kennedy reportedly claims to have worked as an undercover operative for the CIA, where she was assigned to keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of terrorists.

But in an article on Monday, national security blog SpyTalk called into question many of Fox Kennedy’s claims about her career.

“I do know that the memoir was grossly exaggerated,” James Lawler, a CIA ops officer who is credited with taking down Pakistani scientist A.Q. Khan’s nuclear black market, told SpyTalk.

CIA veteran Robert Baer reportedly added that Kennedy Fox’s memoir was “a Joycean dream world.”

SpyTalk added that Kennedy Fox’s memoir, Life Undercover, wasn’t approved by the CIA for publication. But “oddly,” she wasn’t taken to court over the matter, the blog noted.

“Was the book so riddled with fiction that the CIA just threw up its hands? Was her entire CIA career made up? Did the agency drop the ball?” SpyTalk asked.

SpyTalk also reported that Kennedy Fox was represented by anti-Trump attorney Mark Zaid, who has worked on a wide variety of politically charged matters, including the first Trump impeachment.

Zaid’s clients have included Facebook’s dubious pro-censorship whistleblower, Frances Haugen; the brother of impeacher-turned-war-profiteer Alexander Vindman; and a slew of CIA agents who’ve made numerous unfounded claims about having so-called “Havana Syndrome.”

Zaid reportedly told SpyTalk that Kennedy Fox indeed worked for the CIA, but attorney–client privacy limited him from saying anything further.

The CIA reportedly did not respond to a message left seeking comment.

Meanwhile, Kucinich’s departure reportedly took the Kennedy campaign by surprise.

Kucinich declined to comment on his reason for leaving, but it should be noted that he differed with Kennedy drastically when it came to the Israel–Hamas conflict.

Kennedy has voiced full-throated support for Israel, while Kucinich has historically opposed pro-Zionist policies.
