Report: Jeffrey Epstein Victim Dies under Suspicious Circumstances

'Carolyn had received millions from Epstein-related settlements...'

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) A Jeffrey Epstein sex-trafficking victim who testified against his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, has reportedly died under mysterious circumstances.

The Daily Beast reported Saturday that Carolyn Andriano, whose testimony was crucial to putting away Maxwell in 2021, was found unresponsive in a West Palm Beach hotel room on May 23.

West Palm Beach police opened an investigation into Andriano’s death, but told The Daily Beast that the investigation was concluding and that she died of an accidental overdose. According to The Daily Beast, Andriano’s mother is furious with the outcome.

“She was all set up for a whole new lifestyle,” the mother, Dorothy Groenert, told the outlet.

“It shouldn’t be closed,” Groenert reportedly said of the police investigation.

“I begged them, I sent them numerous messages. I’ve asked for them to make meetings, contact me, and to no avail,” she added.

The Daily Beast reported that Andriano was a 36-year-old mother of five children, who had recently purchased property in North Carolina with her husband, John Pitts.

However, Pitts apparently doesn’t think Andriano’s death was that suspicious.

Pitts reportedly told police that Andriano had been using drugs. He declined to comment to The Daily Beast, but his sister reportedly scoffed at the notion that Andriano’s death was linked to the Epstein network.

“Right now our family is grieving the loss of Carolyn and prioritizing the care of her children. At this time we kindly appreciate space and privacy,” the sister reportedly said in a text, saying that the suggestion that Andriano’s death was suspicious is “ridiculous.”

A toxicology report indicates Carolyn had methadone, fentanyl, and alprazolam (the generic name for Xanax) in her system when she died, The Daily Beast added.

Now, Andriano’s widower and mother are in a legal dispute over her assets.

Andriano’s will that she made in 2010 left her estate to her mother.

“Because the will hadn’t been updated, Pitts and his three kids with Carolyn were left out of her estate. Carolyn had received millions from Epstein-related settlements, though probate court documents indicate she had $183,000 in a bank account,” The Daily Beast said.

“The filings also listed unknown assets as the JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank class action settlements—which … amount to $290 million and $75 million, respectively, and will result in big payouts to victims.”
