Ottawa Police Threaten to Confiscate Puppies from Pro-Freedom Dissenters

'First Fauci now the Ottawa police... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) The authorities in Ottawa, Ontario seem to be threatening to hold dogs hostage until the Freedom Convoy protests stop, BizPac Review reported.

The Freedom Convoy protesters have already been warned of severe penalties if they do not vacate the downtown area.

In a message on social media, the Ottawa By-law and Regulatory Services Branch announced that animal owners will presumably be arrested on notice:

“Attention animal owners at demonstration: If you are unable to care for your animal as a result of enforcement actions, your animal will [be]placed into protective care for 8 days, at your cost. After 8 days, if arrangements are not made, your animal will be considered relinquished.”

Many of the truckers in the convoy have had their bank accounts frozen, and would likely not be able to retrieve their animals by the time the eight days is complete.

“We are going to take back the entirety of the downtown core and every occupied space,” Interim Police Chief Steve Bell said. “You will be hearing and seeing these actions in the coming days.”

Predictably, people did not like the idea of anyone having their dogs taken away:
