(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) New York City Democrat Mayor Eric Adams is attempting to lure illegal immigrants from the luxury Watson Hotel, where they are headquartered for free, to a shelter at a local cruise terminal using healthy snacks as an incentive.
According to Brietbart, Adams released a promotional video encouraging the single male adult migrants housed at the Watson to move to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, addressing their purported anxieties about moving into the space.
“It doesn’t matter if its Ellis Island or the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal… it’s all rooted int he American dream,” Adams explained. “I just had to come here when I started hearing all of the rumors about how it was too cold… about the food not being here. Healthy food is present; even the snacks are healthy!”
The video, which shows clips of Adams talking and playing ping pong with the illegal immigrants, has a voice over of him explaining that the migrants are grateful to the residents of New York City for allowing the influx of illegals to take asylum.
The terminal can host over 1,000 migrants. However, many local Left-wing activists have deemed the space unlivable and encouraged many of the illegal aliens to continue residing at the hotel.
The Watson Hotel—where Adams placed the migrants on the city’s dime—is a 3.5 star establishment with a fitness center, a swimming pool on the roof and complimentary coffee service. The illegal immigrants staying there have private rooms and bathrooms and appear to be free to do as they would like throughout the building.
Adams has become increasingly desperate since government officials with states and cities along the southern border started busing illegals to sanctuary cities like New York and Chicago. Despite constant calls from Adams, the Biden administration continues to ignore the issue.
“We are doing our job, we need the national government and Congress to do their job,” he said.
Recently, the situation even got bad enough for Adams to personally visit the border, acknowledge the fault in the left-wing border policies pushed by the Biden administration and call the circumstance a “crisis.”
“Our cities are being undermined,” he said. “We don’t deserve this. Migrants don’t deserve this and the people who live in the cities don’t deserve this …There is no more room in New York.”
