North Carolinians for Immigration Reform and Enforcement released its July “Child Rapes by Illegal Aliens” report and found 22 arrests with 96 charges.
Juan Francisco Arriola–Zuniga accumulated the most charges in July, at 23 separate counts.
Mecklenburg County authorities arrested Arriola–Zuniga, a 42-year-old illegal alien, on July 10 and charged him with 14 counts of indecent liberties, three counts of first-degree sex offense against a child, three counts of statutory sex offense, and three counts of statutory sex offense with a child 15 years of age or younger.
“I can not begin to imagine the horror these children had to endure and will continue to endue for the rest of their lives,” NCFIRE President James Johnson said as he urged the state legislature to enforce immigration laws. “I also can not imagine the guilt, anguish and anger the parents will have to live with, every time they look at their children.”
In Wake County, the Raleigh Police Department arrested Josue Jonathan Bonilla, a 27-year-old illegal alien, on July 6. Authorities charged him with three counts of sexual battery and three counts of indecent liberties with a child.
Raleigh police arrested him after he allegedly groped a 7-year-old girl, Lily, at Moore Square Park in Raleigh, WNCN reported.
Lily’s dad, Ollie, said her mother had a “funny feeling” as a man strode across the park toward her child and then groped her twice.
“He said he was going to take my toys,” Lily said.
Ollie chased Bonilla and yelled at him, while nearby parents called the police, who arrested the suspect shortly afterward.
Authorities in Mecklenburg County arrested 43-year-old Jose Emilio Alvarado–Ochoa, an illegal alien who resides in Charlotte, on July 15 and charged him with 15 crimes.
Alvarado–Ochoa faces prosecution for two counts of first-degree child rape, five counts of incest with a child between 13 and 15 years old, three counts of statutory rape of a child 15 years of age or younger, and five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
