(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) The mainstream media flew into a frenzied panic after Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., sat with Republicans during President Joe Biden‘s State of the Union address, News Busters reported.
A flurry of angry liberals attacked Manchin for being only a moderate leftist, claiming that he is undermining the progressive agenda.
CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King loudly complained that Manchin sat with Republicans as Biden muttered on about unity.
“He [Biden] was talking about that unity agenda. We saw Senator Manchin sitting with Republicans,” she complained.
Journalist Margaret Brennan suggested that Manchin’s supposedly symbolic act further undermined leftist leadership.
“When you have unified Democratic leadership, it has not looked very unified when it came to Democratic senators, specifically Joe Manchin,” she said.
Good Morning America’s Cecilia Vega blamed Manchin for stalling out Biden’s radical agenda and also added that she strongly opposes bipartisanship.
“He’s [Biden] pushing for lowering the cost of prescription drugs and childcare, once in his build back better plan now stalled blocked by some in his own party,” she moaned. “One of them, Senator Joe Manchin, seen sitting with Republicans, his office calling it a show of bipartisanship.”
And last but not least, Late Night host and alleged comedian Seth Myers used the opportunity to complain about Manchin’s resistance to the Democrats’ radical abortion bills.
“The Senate, last night, failed to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act, and West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin voted with Republicans,” he said.
“Okay, how many times does someone have to vote with Republicans before you consider him a Republican?” he asked. “It’s kind of like saying Keith Richards played with the Rolling Stones again yeah, ’cause he’s a Rolling Stone.”
The leftist obsession with Manchin has only increased in recent months as they try to ram through as much as possible before their potentially-disastrous 2022 midterms.
