Lobbying Group Launches Expensive Campaign to Save Kamala’s Image

'She is a boogeyman that Republicans can (and will) use when it comes to pushing their message...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) An abortion-focused political-action committee known as EMILY’s List invested $10 million in a public-relations campaign to boost the image of Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to the Daily Caller, the PAC expressed the desire to assist Harris in the months leading up to the 2024 presidential campaign.

Many expect Harris to play a larger role in the next presidential race as President Joe Biden continues to mentally and physically decline and the possibility of the veep becoming the next president increases.

Harris’s approval ratings throughout her White House tenure have been historically low, with 36.7% approval and 56% disapproval ratings according to recent polling data.

Republicans have hoped to use Biden’s decline and Harris’s incompetence as a selling point for a more effective GOP candidate.

“She is a boogeyman that Republicans can (and will) use when it comes to pushing their message,” an unnamed senior Republican strategist said.

“A President Harris would be even worse than a President Biden because she campaigned as a progressive fighter and had to moderate herself when she became Biden’s running mate,” the strategist continued. “And to be completely frank, she’s smart. She’s an accomplished prosecutor. She was a United States senator. And she does have the resume to match.”

Laphonza Butler, president of EMILY’s List, announced that the organization’s campaign would try to reach voters of all kinds.

“Some age groups and demographics get their information from things like YouTube or from TikTok,” Butler explained. “For some demographics, they are much more interpersonal and in terms of how they get and disseminate information.”

Despite being given several issues to address, such as the border crisis and looming threat of artificial intelligence, Harris has done very little in her vice presidential tenure.

Her office has also been a revolving door for staff since the administration took power, throwing her ability to effectively lead into question.
