Leftists Urged to Vandalize Cars, Flatten Tires to Combat Climate Change

'It's time for us to carefully escalate our methods in a non-violent manner to convey the seriousness of this crisis in tangible ways... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) The radical environmentalist group known as ‘Adbusters’ is encouraging its followers to target “wealthy areas” and deflate the tires of large vehicles to fight climate change.

The group, which describes itself as “an international collective of artists, designers, writers, musicians, poets, punks, philosophers and wild hearts,” posted instructions on how to properly deflate tires, according to the New York Post.

“Wedge gravel in the tire valves, leaflet the SUV to let them know the tires are flat and why it was done, and walk away. It’s that simple,” the group said in a tweet.

“If we organize, we can hit enough SUVs in particular neighborhoods to spark reporting and spread the metameme,” it added.

The thread continues to explain their strategy of hitting one neighborhood at a time, organizing crews and leaving behind pamphlets that explain their mission of fighting climate change, hurting the automotive industry and vandalizing private property.

The group also told its followers to “start by targeting wealthy areas—our goal isn’t to disrupt workers—and avoid targeting vehicles with disabled stickers or hangers,” and insisted that flat tires do not constitute property damage.

“YOUR TIRES ARE FLAT,” one of the group’s flyers left on vandalized SUVs reads.

“It isn’t personal. SUVs are disproportionately fueling the climate crisis. And they’re totally uneccesary (sic). Walk, bike, take public trains if you have to. But it’s time to end our reliance on these gas-guzzling behemoths.”

“It’s time for us to carefully escalate our methods in a non-violent manner to convey the seriousness of this crisis in tangible ways,” the thread concluded.

Some responded to the thread, arguing that this was a dangerous tactic, The Daily Wire reported.
