(Alex Tien, Headline USA) The Left is in an uproar after Tucker Carlson released a trailer for a documentary about testosterone decline, Breitbart reported.
While some accused it of misogyny, however, a few members of the left-wing LGBT community tried a different tack—suggesting they maybe enjoyed it a little too much as a way to affront Carlson’s masculinity.
“This is so gay,” tweeted former Star Trek actor George Takei, according to Business Insider.
Another Twitter account replaced Richard Strauss’s epic-sounding “Thus Spoke Zarathstura” as the backing music with the Village People’s “YMCA.”
In documentary trailer, men are depicted doing what for ages has been considered typical male behavior; wrestling, working out, and shooting guns.
“Once a society collapses then, you’re in hard times,” a voiceover said in the trailer.
“Well, ‘iron sharpens iron,’ as they say. And those hard times inevitably produce men who are tough, men who are resourceful, men who are strong enough to survive. Then they go on to re-establish order, and so the cycle begins again.”
Even though male testosterone levels have been in decline since the ’80s, the outrage over Carlson’s new documentary shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.
In fact, an MSNBC writer recently compared physically fit men to Nazis.
Another MSNBC talking head, Joy-Ann Reid, took a hiatus from her normal race-baiting to slam the rival news host.
Speaking on her show, “The Reid-Out,” she called the documentary a “hyper-masculinity flex” that was “blatant, fascist posturing.”
Reid’s discursive rant suggested that Carlson’s concern over testosterone levels could soon be the gateway to laws governing female sex habits.
“What is scarier is what the rhetoric translates into—from book-banning to abortion bans and laws that regulate procreation in women’s bodies,” she rambled, before he TDS-afflicted host then somehow segued back into the Left’s favorite obession: Donald Trump.
“… That fascist posturing has led to fascist tendencies on the American right that worship tough-guy—well, fake tough-guy Trump—who even as a ghostly presence can reign as a party boss,” she continued.
Sadly, the bigoted pundit—who narrowly avoided scandal when her past history of making homophobic remarks resurfaced on an old blog—also couldn’t help but to mock the LGBT community in her diatribe.
“This trip into Tuckum’s dreamscape is absurd,” she said. “I mean, testicle tanning?”
