(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Democrat gubernatorial candidate in Arizona Katie Hobbs has so far refused to debate Republican candidate Kari Lake as the general election approaches.
Lake continued to embarrass Hobbs over the weekend, attending a Hobbs Town Hall meeting which caused Hobbs to refuse to come on stage until she left, RedState reported.
Even when Hobbs did eventually emerge after security guards asked Lake to leave, she bumbled through the meeting, doing her best imitation of President Joe Biden.
Asked a simple question–to say one lesson that she has learned from Latino people–Hobbs crumbled under the pressure.
Interviewer: “What have you learned…from the Latino community?”
Hobbs: “That’s a great question … practicing my español un poquito.”
Interviewer: “So there’s not one specific lesson you could share…other than español?
Hobbs: “Uh…”
Hobbs’ refusal to debate Lake has been well documented.

Asked recently why she has so far refused to debate Lake, Hobbs simply said that she thought it would be too dramatic.
“Look, what I’ve been focused on is opportunities like this, where they can see us back to back and hear directly from us about the issues that are important to Arizonans and how we would govern without a circus like she created during the GOP Republican primary,” she said.
“I have no desire to be a part of the spectacle that she’s looking to create,” Hobbs deflected. “Because that doesn’t do any service to the voters of Arizona to hear from us, where we stand on the issues and how we would govern.”
But when asked whether or not Arizona voters deserve to be shown this in real time, Hobbs simply bragged about enforcing lockdowns and being an anti-Trumper.
“I think the voters of Arizona have had a chance to see how I work under crisis throughout my leadership during the 2020 election as Secretary of State,” Hobbs grumbled. “When we had to combat multiple election challenges from- from former President Trump and his band of election deniers, including my opponents Kari Lake.”
