(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris has once again sparked controversy during a recent speech addressing the development of artificial intelligence, a role she serves as the czar.
Harris’s speech, aimed at explaining the definition of AI during a roundtable at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, faced criticism from prominent conservative leaders who accused her of being condescending toward the American public.
In the video, Harris can be heard saying, “AI is kind of a fancy thing. First of all, it’s two letters. It means artificial intelligence.”
Political commentator Clay Travis took to Twitter to respond to the video, stating, “Kamala Harris talks to Americans like we are all in kindergarten.” Travis made his remarks on Wednesday. Another prominent Twitter user, ALX, mocked Harris’s explanation of AI and questioned whether she would be involved in other AI developments, asking, “Will Kamala be helping out with @xai,” referring to Elon Musk’s new AI bot.
Political strategist Steve Guest, known for his viral Twitter responses, sarcastically commented, “STUNNING INSIGHTS from Kamala Harris,” before sharing the now-viral video. Twitter personality Vince Coglianese echoed Guest’s sentiments, suggesting the need for a website dedicated to Harris explaining things, humorously called “Wikamalapedia.”
This is not the first time Harris has been mocked for her role as Biden’s “AI Czar.” Musk ridiculed Harris shortly after the Biden administration appointed her to oversee AI development, stating on May 7 via Twitter, “[M]aybe someone who can fix their own wifi router wouldn’t be too much to ask.”
Harris’s public appearances have also previously come under scrutiny, as she currently holds the lowest approval ratings in the history of NBC polls. Her uncontrollable laughter during a speech at the Gila River Indian Community in Arizona triggered speculation about her potential involvement in a White House cocaine scandal.
One Twitter user responded to the video of Harris’s unusual laughter by saying, ‘Maybe it’s not Hunter’s [sic] cocaine after all,’ referring to her husband being the ‘first Second Gentleman of the United States.'”
