Joe Biden Told Hunter He Was in the ‘Clear’ after Shady Business Deals

'I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings... '

(Headline USA) On a voicemail obtained by the Daily Mail, President Joe Biden can be heard reassuring his son, Hunter, that he was in the “clear” following a New York Times report about Hunter’s shady Chinese business deals.

The Dec. 12, 2018, voicemail, obtained from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, indicates that Joe Biden was aware of his son’s overseas business dealings, including one with a Chinese energy conglomerate called CEFC.

“Hey pal, it’s Dad. It’s 8:15 on Wednesday night. If you get a chance, just give me a call. Nothing urgent. I just wanted to talk with you,” Joe Biden can be heard saying.

“I thought the article released online, it’s going to be printed tomorrow in the Times, was good,” he added. “I think you’re clear. And anyway, if you get a chance, give me a call. I love you.”

The New York Times article Joe Biden was referring to covered Hunter’s business partnership with former CEFC chairman Ye Jianming and Patrick Ho. After the article was published, Hunter railed against the New York Times for naming him at the top of the story.

“Why put me in the lead,” Hunter Biden said in a text message to his lawyer, George Mesires.

“A**holes,” Hunter added. “Just hate being used up front for no good reason. He pretty much says nothing but it makes me once again look like im taking advantage and have no ethics and im at best a dupe and worse a dishonor to my family.”

“I’m being dramatic,” he continued. “Fact you did an incredible job of keeping this basically to a big fat nothing.”

Joe Biden launched his presidential campaign just five months after leaving the voicemail.

He has insisted that he never talked to Hunter Biden about his business deals, and has repeatedly denied any involvement in them.

“I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” Joe Biden said in September 2019.
