Illegal Crossings Spike as Biden Stops Health Controls at Border

(John RansomHeadline USA) Illegal immigration crossings are soaring as the expiration for the federal government COVID controls is due on May 23,  said CBS News.

According to data by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the agency processed 221,303 illegal immigration encounters in March, a record number since 2000, and the third time that over 200,000 illegal immigration encounters have been recorded under the Biden administration, reported CBS.

Even before the expiration of what’s known as Title 42, which effectively sealed the southern border under President Trump because of the likelihood that COVID would spread through illegal immigration, the Biden administration is granting blanket Title 42 exceptions.

Texas is so overwhelmed by illegal immigrants right now that Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, has put illegal immigrants on buses and shipped them to Washington, DC.

All illegal immigrants, however, have to agree voluntarily to be put on the buses and be shipped.

“If I were to go to Washington, D.C., and take you and put you on a bus and take you down to the Rio Grande Valley, that would be kidnapping,” Abbott told News 4 San Antonio.

“Same thing applies to anybody who refuses to get onto a bus that would be kidnapping even though it would be by a law enforcement agency.”

Eighteen states have banded together to challenge the Biden administration’s border policy and filed suit on Thursday in the U.S. District Court in the Western District of Louisiana.

“This suit challenges an imminent, man-made, self-inflicted calamity: the abrupt elimination of the only safety valve preventing this Administration’s disastrous border policies from devolving into unmitigated chaos and catastrophe,” the complaint read, according to ABC News.

Even Beto O’Rourke, the Democrat who is challenging Abbott in the Texas gubernatorial election, has panned the Biden administration for ending Title 42 without an apparent plan.

“I have yet to hear a plan from the Biden administration to address the dynamic we will have on the border once Title 42 ends,” O’Rourke told the Texas Tribune in an interview.
