Gov’t Pays $5M for Software to Turn Social-Media Users into Disinfo Bots

'For a profession that’s allegedly taught to oppose a herd mentality, they sure seem hell-bent on creating manufactured consensus...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) In order to further control the minds of its subjects, the United States federal government has dumped millions of dollars into software development to help people call out their friends on social media platforms, the Daily Wire reported.

The $5 million taxpayer dollars are being funneled to a journalist group called Hacks/Hackers to develop the software, which will psychologically manipulate American citizens into censoring their own friends.

According to a video demonstrating the software, millions of Americans would like to censor their fellow citizens, but simply do not have an easy way to do so. Hacks/Hackers will resolve that alleged problem.

“Every day there are motivated citizens, like librarians, health communicators and amateur volunteers, who engage with the misinformation that is posted by their peers and make efforts to share reliable information to empower their communities,” the video said.

The censorship, it argued, will be more effective because it comes from virtue-signaling friends and not large, multinational Big Tech corporations.

“That’s why we want to focus on these peer connections when it comes to having these conversations online … Instead of coming to you from the platform, it’s actually coming to you from a friend,” the video continued.

Hacks/Hackers and other groups like it are desperately searching for ways to crush all dissenting opinions, using public opinion as “a weapon to be wielded against the American people,” noted Curtis Houck of the Media Research Center.

They also “want to remove dissenting views from the internet and leave the rest in a state of reprogramming,” Houck said. “For a profession that’s allegedly taught to oppose a herd mentality, they sure seem hell-bent on creating manufactured consensus.”

Hacks/Hackers has already organized Wikipedia censors to ensure that the state controls as many media outlets as possible, redefining words as it pleases.
