(Headline USA) The FBI was involved in Twitter’s decision to censor the New York Post’s bombshell report about Hunter Biden’s laptop in the weeks leading up to the 2020 presidential election, according to a new report.
FBI officials warned Twitter during weekly meetings prior to the 2020 election that there would be “hack-and-leak operations” by “state actors” regarding Hunter Biden, said Twitter’s former head of site integrity, Yoel Roth.
“I was told in these meetings that the intelligence community expected that individuals associated with political campaigns would be subject to hacking attacks and that material obtained through those hacking attacks would likely be disseminated over social media platforms, including Twitter,” Roth said in a Dec. 21, 2020 testimony before the Federal Election Commission.
“I also learned in these meetings that there were rumors that a hack-and-leak operation would involve Hunter Biden,” Roth added.
Twitter suppressed circulation of the laptop story, citing its “hacked materials” policy, and even suspended accounts that continued to share it.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed earlier this year during an interview with Joe Rogan that he had received similar warnings from the FBI about “Russian propaganda” ahead of the 2020 election. It was based on these warnings that Facebook decided to limit circulation of the laptop story, he admitted.
“I mean, basically, the background here is the FBI, I think, basically came to us,” Zuckerberg said. “[They told] some folks on our team that ‘Hey, just so you know, like, you should be on high alert.’”
“There was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election, we have it on notice that basically there’s about to be some kind of dump that’s going to be similar to that,” he continued.
Although the warnings did not provide any specific evidence to support the assertions that the laptop might involve hacked material, the predominantly leftist employees at Twitter and Facebook were more than happy to take the logical leap as justification to censor derogatory material that likely helped salvage the election for Democrat Joe Biden.
Among those who was in on Twitter’s internal discussions in support of censorship was former FBI general counsel James Baker, who also played an integral role in the FBI’s attempts to falsely smear President Donald Trump as part of the Russia-collusion hoax.

In the wake of Twitter’s efforts to censor valid opinions and facts in the laptop coverup, as well as during the COVID pandemic and 2020 race riots, the attorneys general of Missouri and Louisiana have filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration, alleging that its intelligence community officials conspired with Big Tech companies to censor “disfavored speakers, viewpoints, and content on social-media platforms.”
