Fauci Lands New Gig as ‘Distinguished Professor’ at Georgetown

'We know better. Trust us. Listen to us. Everything will be alright...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Ex-coronavirus czar Anthony Fauci has landed a big money sinecure, accepting a job at Georgetown University according to a university press release.

Beginning on July 1, Fauci will serve as a “Distinguished University Professor” in the School of Medicine’s Department of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases.

Georgetown President John J. DeGioia released a statement praising Fauci and bestowing upon him one of the highest honors a university can grant: a distinguished professorship.

“We are deeply honored to welcome Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, a dedicated public servant, humanitarian and visionary global health leader, to Georgetown,” DeGioia said, noting that Fauci has been a symbol of the spirit of Jesuitism, in recognition of the school’s Catholic heritage.

Although brought up in the church, Fauci has said he now considers himself spiritually to be a “humanist,” but, as he often has in his long government career, he seemed ready once again to reinvent himself and adapt to the shifting set of circumstances in order to advance his own priorities, such as wealth and adulation.

“Dr. Fauci has embodied the Jesuit value of being in service to others throughout his career, and we are grateful to have his expertise, strong leadership and commitment to guiding the next generation of leaders to meet the pressing issues of our time,” DeGioia said.

In response to receiving such honors, Fauci noted that he was a good fit for the job.

“I am delighted to join the Georgetown family, an institution steeped in clinical and academic excellence with an emphasis on the Jesuit tradition of public service,” Fauci said.

“This is a natural extension of my scientific, clinical and public health career, which was initially grounded from my high school and college days where I was exposed to intellectual rigor, integrity and service-mindedness of Jesuit institutions.”

Georgetown’s statement also praised Fauci for his help in “raising awareness” for the “LGBTQIA+ community” during the 1980s AIDS panic.

“They were not paid attention to because the standard way was ‘We’re the scientists, you’re the community,” Fauci said, condemning the scientists of the past for not being sufficiently woke.

According to Fauci, those scientists said, “we know better. Trust us. Listen to us. Everything will be alright.’”

Fauci, by contrast, dedicated himself to the task of trying to find a successful HIV vaccine—which included some of the questionable research methods that would later come to be his hallmark during his funding of the COVID-19 experiments in Wuhah, China.

His research into HIV included testing experimental drugs on children living in foster homes, as well as using a controversial cancer treatment on AIDS patients that wound up killing more than the virus itself.

Nonetheless, Fauci said the trial-and-error experiences proved a valuable learning opportunity for the young and ambitious scientist as he sought to work his way to becoming America’s highest paid public servant.

The lockdown zealot noted that his lived experience through the AIDS pandemic convinced him that he needed to be more open-minded when dealing with far-left radicals.

“And when I listened to what they were saying, they were making perfect sense. … What was starting off as a confrontational relationship turned into a major collaboration that very likely saved a lot of lives.”
