“I have a positive update about my wife, Casey DeSantis,” DeSantis said. “After going through treatment and surgery for breast cancer, she is now considered cancer free.”
“She still has more to do but I’m confident she will make a full recovery. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, and God bless you all!”
DeSantis also offered encouragement for others struggling with breast cancer, reminding them that there is hope for the future.
First Lady DeSantis replied to the announcement via Twitter:

Many responses to this good news were kind and encouraging; others asked when free healthcare was going to be made available and chastised DeSantis for telling high schoolers that they could take their masks off if they would like.

I also have cancer. I keep thinking how lucky I am I can get treatment without going bankrupt. I have to go to every treatment by myself because covid is still here – because of people like your husband. Glad u r ok, maybe now your family can think of others?

Thank God for that News, but I’m curious why you found it necessary to scold a child in national TV about wearing a mask. I thought Florida was FREE, or choice. U can really damage a child that way
