(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A former congressman launched a blistering mockery of California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom’s pathetic attempt to portray Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis as a dictator and proclaiming that California offers much more freedom, according to Louder with Crowder.
On July 3, right before Independence Day, Newsom posted a video on his Twitter account in which he said that the state of Florida doesn’t have freedom, while California is the “land of the free.”
“We’re about to celebrate Independence Day — but Freedom is under attack by Republican leaders in states like Florida,” Newsom ridiculously claimed, apparently overlooking his long string of COVID lockdowns, restrictions and mandates.
Aside from lying, Newsom also used another favorite tactic of leftists — gaslighting.
Floridians do not want their kids to read books with explicit sexual content, vote fraud and murdered babies, which in Newsom’s warped view meant that Republicans favor “Banning books. Restricting speech. Making it harder to vote. Criminalizing women and doctors.”
A spokesman for DeSantis’s re-election campaign responded to the video by mocking Newsom and his “hellhole.”
“Gavin Newsom might as well light a pile of cash on fire,” the spokesman told the Daily Wire.
“Pass the popcorn for his desperate attempt to win back the California refugees who fled the hellhole he created in his state to come to Florida.”
“The people of Florida pay no mind to the pathetic smear campaigns from the Democrats and their allies in the corporate media. We’re too busy enjoying the freedom Governor Ron DeSantis has created in the Sunshine State.”
Trey Radel, a former congressman, decided to mock Newsom, too, but he went to a completely different level by releasing a video on his Twitter account.
“Freedom is under attack in your state. The dictator Ron DeSantis… lets you walk around without masks?! That tyrant allows your kids to go to school during the pandemic, year two or four or… who the hell knows?” Radel’s re-tooled Newsom ad asks.
Then he showed why every sane person leaves California — or its big cities, at least.
“Visit San Francisco where you could walk through human feces. If you’re lucky, you might step on a syringe. Check out Los Angeles where gas is so expensive your kids only need to skip a meal or two or 10 to afford it.”
Then he ripped the whole leftist-ruined state.
“… join us in California where we’ll take the money you earn and give it to people who don’t work… California where freedom means lockdowns for you, while I go to the places you can’t afford,” showing Newsom without a mask at a stadium.
“Don’t let them take your freedom. Come to California where we’ll take it along with your money.”
