(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) For anyone scoffing at the tyranny of Canada’s martial law crackdown on peaceful protestors, with a dismissive shrug that it could surely never happen in America, consider the latest yammering from Democrats champing at the bit for a chance to flex some monarchial muscle.
On reports that some truckers might be planning a pro-freedom convoy to Washington, D.C., Rep. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., immediately swung into full preemptive dictator mode, calling for the seizure of any trucks that might or might not be headed to D.C. to protest and then giving the confiscated vehicles to businesses, presumably ones with close Democrat ties.

That embodies the typical leftists’ knee-jerk, ingrained response to anything that could potentially pose a threat to their political power, and it’s been kicked into overdrive with President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address right around the corner.
“Law enforcement agencies in Maryland, Virginia and D.C. are monitoring what could be a number of trucker convoys coming to D.C.,” according to the NBC Washington report that triggered Gallego’s dive into despotism.
“Truckers apparently spurred on by the recent protests in Canada want their voices heard, but the extent of the protests and how disruptive they may be is still unclear.”
Gallego’s suggestion to seize the property of peaceful protestors and then spread the wealth was rightfully torched.
