(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) A recently discovered document revealed that the Biden administration plans to offer illegal immigrants identification cards after they cross the nation’s southern border.
According to American Digest, the “Secure Docket Card” program would include a photo ID. The program is set to launch in March 2023.
A newly obtained document outlines the Biden administration’s plan to give IDs to #IllegalImmigrants.
The pilot drew criticism from top lawmakers, with Rep. @JamesComer calling it “yet another Biden Administration move encouraging illegal immigration.” https://t.co/I5jALqJd6z

The card is set to replace the current system, described as “ad-hoc,” and may save Immigration and Customs Enforcement time by allowing officials to verify an immigrant’s status and assist them in making it to court hearings, boosters said.
The Biden administration confirmed that the pilot program was underway, but the document provided more detail into the program, such as a start date and estimated cost.
The process of designating the identification cards, beginning to develop an online portal with information for the immigrants (such as court dates) and identifying personnel to staff the project has already begun.
All of these components are set to be completed on March 1, 2023.
After the due date, the plan will be set into action and temporary cards will be put into production until permanent IDs can be produced. The program will run through the end of September 2023, when a feasibility study will be conducted to see whether the pilot can be expanded.
The estimated total cost for the initiative landed at $2.5 million.
“It is outrageous and absurd that the Biden administration intends to spend millions of dollars of taxpayer’s money designing and issuing identity cards for the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens they are waving in at the border,” said Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies for the Center for Immigration Studies.
“Instead of issuing these documents, they should be sending them back to their home countries,” she added.
