(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) David Weis, the U.S. district attorney for the District of Delaware, appeared to rebuff allegations of potential bias in the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden.
The scrutiny intensified during Weiss’s appearance before the House Judiciary Committee, following an agreement for a closed-door meeting on Nov. 7.
According to newly reviewed transcripts by the Daily Caller, Weiss admitted that he was unaware of potential protocols to block potential pro-hunter biases in the probe.
“I’m not aware of protocols,” Weiss stated when questioned about internal DOJ procedures regarding potential favoritism in the case.
“And look, my interest and the interest of prosecutors in my office is pursuing cases, and we should be pursuing cases based on the laws and the facts, period,” he added.

Despite asserting his lack of awareness regarding potential biases in the probe, Weiss later altered his stance when presented with additional information.
“Again, I’m not going to comment on any aspect of the investigation or a prosecution, and from my perspective, the prosecutors who participated in this case followed the law and the facts,” Weiss declared.
“I’ve told you. I have no such process. We haven’t experienced it in our office. And to generally — I don’t have an answer,” Weiss doubled down.
The Caller detailed Weiss’s acknowledgment of damning testimony from IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, both accusing the DOJ of obstructing early charges against Hunter.
President Biden and his administration have continually changed their stories throughout this inquiry.
You know who’s been consistent?
The IRS whistleblowers.

“I am aware that you have two whistleblowers who have testified. That’s correct,” Weiss alleged, but declined to address pressing questions about the whistleblower’s allegations.
He added, “It’s not something I experienced. I understand what your representation is with respect to these whistleblowers, and that would have me commenting on specifics relative to this investigation and this case.”
Weiss’s remarks appeared to contradict findings from the whistleblower who explicitly accused Assistant Delaware U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf of shielding Biden from a purported search warrant, in addition to prohibiting the search of a storage unit owned by Hunter.
The Republican-led Judiciary Committee is propping up its impeachment inquiry into what conservatives describe as mounting evidence of alleged corruption and foreign influence peddling.
