The daylong FAMiLY Leadership Summit in Des Moines, Iowa, will include “one-on-one” sessions with Carlson and at least five confirmed GOP candidates, according to The Blaze.
The event will be streamed live on Blaze TV and Blaze TV’s YouTube channel on Friday, July 14, starting at 10 a.m.
Those confirmed to participate include: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, former UN ambassador Nikki Haley, businessman and author Vivek Ramaswamy, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson.
Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, who is not running for president, is also among the confirmed speakers.
According to the summit’s website, former President Donald Trump, current President Joe Biden and Democrat candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. all were invited to attend but had not confirmed as of Wednesday.
Biden, who is currently in Europe, is unlikely to accept the invitation.
Trump, the current GOP frontrunner by a considerable margin, has signaled previously that he may skip out on early debates involving candidates whom he considers to be beneath him.
“When you’re leading by seemingly insurmountable numbers, and you have hostile Networks with angry, TRUMP & MAGA hating anchors asking the “questions,” why subject yourself to being libeled and abused?” he asked in a Truth Social post.
The first debate sanctioned by the Republican National Committee will take place on Aug. 23 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, according to The Hill.
