(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Democrat far-left politicians Beto O’Rourke, D-Texas, and Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., were roasted on social media and taken to task for campaigning on behalf of Stacie Laughton, the first-ever transgender state representative and accused pedophile.
Laughton, a Democrat who faced arrest for stalking former romantic partner Lindsay Groves, resigned her Hew Hampshire state representative seat after “serious” and “troubling” allegations. Those included criminal charges for allegedly conspiring with a daycare worker to gather sexually explicit photos of children, and aiding and abetting the sexual exploitation of children.
Libs of TikTok’s Chaya Raichik and Turning Point USA confronted Swalwell’s staff, asking that the representative explain his endorsement of Laughton’s campaign. Raichik asked if Swalwell would continue to endorse criminals other than pedophiles. The video showed a pride flag hanging in his offices as well.
“Eric Swalwell sure seems to choose his friends unwisely. First, Fang-Fang the Chinese spy then “Stacie” Laughton,” cracked one Twitter commentator.

“Remember that time @BetoORourke campaigned for former NH Rep Stacie Laughton? That aged well,” noted the Texas Family Project.
Laughton, formerly known as Bruce, was the first trans-identifying representative elected to serve in the state of New Hampshire. Laughton faced arrested for seeking pornographic images of children from his partner, who was a daycare worker.
Groves, 38, worked at Creative Minds daycare in Massachusetts, and revealed several text exchanges with photos of naked children between the ages of three and five years old. Sexual exploitation of children convictions come with a 15- to 30-year sentence, and a fine of up to $250,000.
Laughton was charged with stalking in December. The same investigation led the police from Laughton to Groves. The Creative Minds daycare center has since closed, and reportedly cooperated with the investigation.

After the initial charges, Laughton waffled on the decision to give up the state seat as a representative, drawing criticism from both parties. Laughton was previously convicted for texting 911 during non-emergency situations roughly a dozen times between May and July 2021.
Democrat state Rep Matt Wilhelm, D-Manchester, stated that there should be a special election to choose a new representative.
