Biden White House in Turmoil as Spox Dodges Questions on Hunter’s Dashed Plea Deal

'Have the president and his attorneys been in touch with Hunter's legal team today?...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) The White House was plunged into turmoil as regime spox Karine Jean-Pierre faced a barrage of scathing questions from reporters following a federal judge’s rejection of Hunter Biden’s controversial, sweetheart plea deal with the DOJ.

During a press briefing on Wednesday, Jean-Pierre refused to provide the American people with answers to pressing questions about the deal, claiming Hunter is not a government official.

Hunter Biden is a private citizen and this was a personal matter for him,” Jean-Pierre claimed, later stating that President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden “love their son.” Later in the briefing, Jean-Pierre quickly shut down any questions about the scandal facing the Biden family.

One reporter asked, “Have the president and his attorneys been in touch with Hunter’s legal team today? And have they been keeping tabs on the proceedings?”

But the White House press secretary evaded the query. “Look, I don’t have anything to share,” Jean-Pierre added. “I would refer you to — on this particular issue I would refer you to Hunter’s representative. I would refer you to the Department of Justice. I don’t have anything to share beyond on what I shared at the top of this briefing.”

The controversy revolves around the shocking news that U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika outright rejected the proposed agreement, citing concerns that the deal would provide Hunter with blanket immunity over other potential crimes.

“I have concerns about the agreement, and that’s why I’m asking these questions. I’m trying to exercise due diligence,” stated Noreika in the hearing.

During the White House briefing, a persistent reporter asked Jean-Pierre whether Biden was content with how his own prosecutors had handled his son’s case, to which she answered, “This was an independent investigation that was overseen by the Department of Justice. As we’ve been very clear, they are independent. We give them the space to do their work. We believe in the rule of law. I just don’t have anything else to share on this.”

Directly contradicting whistleblower testimony from IRS employees, Jean-Pierre doubled down on the White House’s claims that the criminal investigation of Hunter’s shady business dealings was done independently. Specifically, she added, “I would refer you to the Department of Justice. Again, this was done independently, and I would also refer you to Hunter’s representatives.”

Hunter is expected to return to court after his attorneys and federal prosecutors reach a new deal that meets Noreika’s expectations. Until then, Noreika threatened to jail Hunter if he broke the conditions to which she agreed to release him.
