Show Trials Set to Begin for J6 Defendants

'[The] gravity of the offense is not captured by the offenses... '

(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) The first trial of a J6 defendant is scheduled to begin next week, according to Julie Kelly at American Greatness.

Guy Reffitt, who is not alleged to have entered the Capitol Building or to have committed a violent crime on Jan. 6, was arrested by the FBI on Jan. 16 and indicted on one count of obstruction of justice, one count of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, and one count of obstruction of an official proceeding.

Reffitt, who is alleged to be a member of the Three Percenters, has been held in jail since his arrest — nearly 14 months — because a federal judge has found him guilty of thoughtcrime, according to Kelly.

“[The] gravity of the offense is not captured by the offenses,” Judge Zia Faruqui of United States District Court for the District of Columbia said during an April detention hearing. “My concern is that he still harbors . . . the false belief that something untoward was happening with the democratic process.”

Faruqui must not have read Molly Ball’s bombshell February 2021 article in Time, which details how a “well-funded cabal of powerful people [worked together] to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information.”

The media, however, has come to the illiberal judge’s assistance, depicting Reffitt’s family as having been “torn apart by extremism.”

“Extremism has torn the Reffitts apart, they say, stirring up feelings of fear, loss and anger among family members,” no less than four ABC journalists wrote in a recent article.

“Hearing my father was there — it was absolutely disgusting,” Reffitt’s son told ABC. “And pretty much demoralizing and I really lost all respect for him in that moment.”

Two of Reffitt’s children are expected to testify against him in court, WUSA9 reported.
