Russian Trolls Dupe Stephen King into Agreeing to Cast Zelenskyy as ‘Pennywise’

'You can always find things about people to pull them down...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Russian jokers recently callled American writer and political activist Stephen King, convincing him to give Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy the role of Pennywise, King’s evil clown character from King’s novel It, should the opportunity ever arise, Sputnik News reported.

The pranksters, going by the names Vovan and Lexus, previously tricked Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling into considering changing Harry Potter’s lightning bolt scar into a Ukrainian trident.

They also convinced her to say that Ukrainian missiles should be signed with her infamous Avada Kedavra spell, which is supposed to kill.

They turned their attention to the woke Stephen King earlier this week.

Introducing themselves to King as Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, they asked for his help in the “information war” against Russia.

They began the phone call by asking King to write “some kind of a scenario” in which Russian soldiers “rape” an Azov Battalion commander. King said that he would see what he could do.

The jokesters also asked, as ‘Zelenskyy,’ whether the Ukrainian president could play Pennywise, his “favorite hero” and King’s infamous villain from his horror novel, It.

King agreed, though not after reminding ‘Zelenskyy’ that Pennywise is evil.

They concluded the call by prompting King to openly praise former Ukrainian militant nationalist Stepan Bandera, even though he “committed some crimes”, including “crimes against Jews.”

“You can always find things about people to pull them down,” King said.

“Washington and Jefferson were slave owners—that doesn’t mean they didn’t do many good things to the United States of America,” he continued. “There are always people who have flaws, we are humans. On the whole, I think Bandera is a great man, and you’re a great man, and Viva Ukraine!”
