Ronna ‘Romney’ McDaniel Doubled Income Despite Countless GOP Losses

'Why is she leading the party ahead of 2024? I'm confused!...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Ronna Romney McDaniel, the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), has come under scrutiny for her hefty salary increases during a period marked by numerous Republican losses.

Federal Election Commission data, analyzed by the Washington Examiner, exposes a notable surge in her income, raising questions about whether the RNC chair deserves the pay.

As detailed by the Examiner, McDaniel’s initial salary as the RNC chairwoman was $122,582. However, between January 2022 and November 2022, her salary skyrocketed to $358,431. In 2020, she received an impressive $410,640, potentially setting a record as the highest-ever salary paid to an RNC chair.

McDaniel’s compensation marks a significant contrast to the mere $152,874 paid to former RNC chair Reince Priebus during his tenure in 2016.

The Examiner’s revelations ignited a wave of criticism on social media, with many conservative commentators highlighting the GOP’s electoral losses since former President Donald Trump captured the White House in the contentious 2016 presidential election.

Ever since, the GOP faced significant setbacks, losing control of the House of Representatives in 2018 and subsequently losing both the White House and the Senate in the 2020 presidential election.

In January 2023, shortly after Republicans gained a narrow majority in the House, McDaniel faced a tough re-election bid against conservative attorney Harmeet Dhillon. McDaniel ultimately secured a victory, with 111 RNC casting their ballots in her support and 51 votes going for her opposition.

The 2023 victory made her the longest-serving RNC chair since the Civil War, as reported by PBS News. However, this historic achievement has not appeased critics on social media.

Simon Ateba, a prominent journalist, expressed skepticism about McDaniel’s leadership on Twitter. “Based on the thousands of comments received, no one believes Ronna McDaniel … can win any election for the @GOP. So, why is she leading the party ahead of 2024?” he remarked. “I’m confused!”

Miranda Devine, an outspoken author and New York Post columnist, expressed frustration over McDaniel’s salary, calling it “aggravating.” Anonymous Twitter user “ProudArmyBrat” chimed in, criticizing McDaniel’s salary increase, contrasting it with grassroots activists like Scott Presler.

Specifically, she alleged, “Worthless RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel, has tripled her salary in the past 3 years! She makes $410,000 a year to do nothing! Meanwhile, our REAL fighter, Scott Presler, gets paid 0, and is still waiting to be approved for ‘subscriptions!’”

Political commentator Gunter Eagleman echoed those sentiments, adding that, “GOP chair Ronna McDaniel makes $410,000.00 a year. @ScottPresler makes $0.00 a year. Who works harder for the GOP?  Time for change.”
