REPORT: Jen Psaki Could Replace Rachel Maddow At MSNBC

'I'm so honored to serve this president, and at this moment in history to be a small part of rebuilding trust in government... '

(Headline USA) White House press secretary Jen Psaki might replace host Rachel Maddow at MSNBC, where she should feel right at home spewing partisan vitriol and misleading the public.

Psaki, who plans to leave her role in the Biden administration later this year, is being aggressively courted by several networks, including CNN and MSNBC. UTA co-president Jay Sures, who serves as Psaki’s agent, even openly floated the idea of Psaki serving as a primetime host before he signed her.

MSNBC is one of the networks in need of a new primetime host after Maddow stepped away from her 9 p.m. show to pursue other projects. She claimed she needs to focus on her upcoming movie, which is about political bribery.

However, Maddow does plan to return from her “hiatus” at some point.

CNN is also looking for a new primetime host after Chris Cuomo was fired from the network for inappropriately aiding the defense of his embattled brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Chris Cuomo was also accused of sexual assault shortly before he was fired.

CNN interim co-president Amy Entelis reportedly traveled to Washington, D.C. for a “recruitment assignment” that appeared to target Psaki, reported Puck. Less than a week later, NBC News chairman Cesar Conde and MSNBC president Rashida Jones made a similar trip.

Psaki said when she took the job with Biden that she wouldn’t stay on past his first year.

“I’m so honored to serve this president, and at this moment in history to be a small part of rebuilding trust in government,” she said last year.

“But I also have two little kids who are preschoolers, and I know a lot of moms … who understand that. I don’t want to miss a lot of moments.”
