POLL: Six in 10 Americans Would Vote Against Biden If He Runs For Reelection

'If I'm in the health I'm in now -- I'm in good health -- then in fact I would run again... '

(Headline USA) More than 60% of Americans said they would not vote for President Joe Biden again if he chooses to run for reelection in 2024, according to a new poll.

The Fox News survey revealed that when asked how they would vote if the election were held today, six in 10 respondents said they’d “probably” or “definitely” vote against Biden, while only 36% of respondents said they’d “definitely” or “probably” reelect Biden.

These numbers are significantly worse for Biden than they were for his two predecessors: Donald Trump and Barack Obama.

In February 2020 when this poll was conducted, 52% of respondents said they would vote against Trump. And in August 2011 when Obama was up for reelection, 51% said they’d vote for someone else.

The Fox News poll further showed that respondents’ dissatisfaction with Biden is rooted in his poor handling of the economy, the pandemic, and foreign policy.

Asked about Biden’s handling of the economy, 58% of respondents said they disapproved. On the pandemic, 52% said they disapproved of Biden, and 54% said they disapproved of his handling of foreign affairs.

Vice President Kamala Harris’s approval ratings are not much better, according to the poll. The survey found that 54% of respondents disapprove of the job she is doing. In June, only 47% of people disapproved of her.

Biden said he plans to run for reelection in 2024 and that Harris will again be his running mate. He has, however, admitted that his health might prevent him from launching another campaign at some point.

“Yes. But look, I’m a great respecter of fate — fate has intervened in my life many, many times. If I’m in the health I’m in now — I’m in good health — then in fact I would run again,” Biden said in December.

When pressed on the potential of another match-up against Trump, Biden claimed that would make him want to run again even more.

“Sure. Why would I not run against Donald Trump? He’s the nominee, that increases the prospect of running,” Biden said.
