(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Lifelong swamp dweller Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., delivered an Oscar-worthy performance in response to a question surrounding her past stock market profits, the Blue State Conservative reported.
When questioned about potential penalties for insider trading for Congressmen, Pelosi struck a maternal tone, nearly tearing up as she reflected on the native sweetness of her fellow Democrats in Congress.
After softly smiling at the naive reporter who seemed to point to rifts within the Democratic Party, the veteran House Speaker smoothly transitioned into a speech describing the superiority of House Democrats to other Americans.
“Heres the thing,” she said. “I say to my members on a regular basis when we gather in caucus… I’ve said to them: Under this roof figuratively or actually, is the greatest collection of intellect, integrity, and imagination for doing the right thing for the American people.”
So overcome with emotion and pride, Pelosi also coined a new word, praising the “contegrity” of the Democratic caucus.
“I have great confidence with the contegrity of my members,” she said.
But even more than contegrity, Pelosi swore the Democrats possess integrity.
“I have great confidence in the integrity of my members,” she concluded.
The reporter who asked the partly-inaudible question seemed to be pointing to the growing divide in the Democratic caucus, which has been thus far unable to push through many of President Joe Biden‘s radical legislative proposals.
Biden, of course, set himself up for failure and deepened the divide among Democrats by making huge promises that he could never deliver.
But Pelosi has played her part as well.
Recently, several key Democrats have looked to retirement with the potentially-disastrous 2022 midterms approaching.
Pelosi also has routine run-ins with “the Squad,” most recently failing to punish conservative Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado for her “domestic terrorism.”
