Tylenol Acknowledged ‘Heavy’ Autism Evidence in Newly Released Emails

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA)  The pharmaceutical company that once manufactured Tylenol recognized growing evidence linking the drug to autism, according to internal correspondence obtained by the Daily Caller.  

One email, dated 2018, came from Rachel Weinstein, director of epidemiology for Janssen, the pharmaceutical arm of Johnson & Johnson, which previously owned Tylenol.    

“The weight of the evidence is starting to feel heavy to me,” Weinstein wrote in an email, according to a Friday report from the outlet.

The Daily Caller noted it obtained the email from law firm Keller Postman LLC, which had sued Kenvue in the Federal District Court for the Southern District of New York.  

The emails were released just days after President Donald Trump and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. held a joint press conference warning about Tylenol use in pregnant women and its potential link to autism in their unborn children. 

Trump urged pregnant women to “fight like hell” to manage fevers during pregnancy and “toughen it out” without relying on Tylenol. 

Just like clockwork, the legacy media and Democrats claimed that Trump’s comments were misleading, noting that some scientific studies have not definitively proven a direct link between Tylenol and autism. However, studies do show an increase in autism in children born to women who took Tylenol while pregnant. 

The company itself has previously warned against using its products during pregnancy. In a 2017 tweet, Tylenol wrote: “We actually don’t recommend using any of our products while pregnant. Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns today.” On June 17, 2019, the company reiterated that Tylenol had not been tested for use during pregnancy.

(, The Center Square) The nonprofit Consumers’ Research urged the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission to conduct tougher enforcement efforts on investment firms like BlackRock in a letter sent on Friday.

The letter, which was exclusively shared with The Center Square, alleges large asset managers like BlackRock “routinely” invested in companies while using its ownership to push certain political and social ideologies.

The Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, codified in the Clayton Act, requires companies to notify the DOJ and FTC before making certain large transactions in order to avoid potentially anticompetitive effects.

The letter said asset managers pushed ideologies by justifying the purchase of company shares under the HSR as “solely for the purpose of investment,” which is an exemption that allows a company to bypass a notice requirement and waiting period.

“Large asset managers are not above the law, and they must either comply with HSR or conduct themselves such that they fall within an exemption,” the letter reads.

The exemption comes under scrutiny when an investor “decides to participate in the management of an issuer,” according to the letter.

The letter cited evidence that investment firms use their ownership to advocate for political and social ideologies like net zero carbon emissions by 2050. The letter cited evidence such as a U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee investigation, membership in climate groups, votes on shareholder proposals, and court cases confirming evidence of political motivations.

“BlackRock, State Street, and other large asset managers adopted a mixed motive to use their proxy voting power and their shareholder engagements for the mixed motive of achieving the environmental goals of activist asset owners, rather than focusing solely on financial returns,” the letter reads.

Consumers’ Research demanded the DOJ and FTC to investigate whether investment firms like BlackRock broke the rules.

“BlackRock CEO Larry Fink has repeatedly acted as activist investor, leveraging the savings of millions of Americans to pursue woke agendas that have nothing to do with fiduciary duty or maximizing returns,” Will Hind, executive director of Consumers’ Research, said in an emailed statement to The Center Square. “The federal courts have made it clear that firms like BlackRock cannot hide behind their ‘solely for investment’ defense while wielding their shareholder power to control or influence fundamental business decisions.”

The letter asserts that BlackRock had influence over companies like Exxon, Berkshire Hathaway Energy, Chevron Corporation, Jack in the Box and Wingstop to set goals for reducing carbon emissions or reporting on greenhouse gas emissions.

In 2021, BlackRock and State Street led votes to install directors chosen by “climate activists” onto Exxon’s board, according to the letter.

“Large asset managers similarly used the power of engagements to pursue non-financial objectives,” the letter reads.

The letter also cites a court ruling in Spence v. American Airlines, where BlackRock was found to engage in practices to influence and align with net zero emissions, although it was not apparent how those practices benefitted American Airlines financially.

“BlackRock couched its [environmental, social and governance] investing in language that superficially pledged allegiance to an economic interest[,] BlackRock never gave more than lip service to show how its actions were actually economically advantageous to its clients,” the court ruling read.

The Center Square contacted BlackRock and State Street for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Congress Unmoved by Imminent Government Shutdown Threat

(, The Center Square) Only four days remain until the federal government runs out of money and partially shuts down, but Republican and Democratic leaders in Congress refuse to compromise on a funding stopgap.

Two competing Continuing Resolutions are on the table. Republicans’ CR would extend current government funding levels until Nov. 21, buying lawmakers time to pass all 12 annual appropriations bills for fiscal year 2026. It also includes $30 million for additional lawmaker security and $58 million for U.S. Supreme Court judges and members of the executive branch.

Despite the nonpartisan nature of the bill, which passed the House, Democrats refused to provide the necessary votes in the Senate.

They argue that a funding stopgap should address the expiring COVID-19 era expansion of the Obamacare Premium Tax Credit to prevent millions of Americans from seeing their health care premiums spike at the end of the year.

Democrats instead want to pass their own short-term CR, which would keep the government funded until Oct. 31 and includes health care-related policy rides costing up to $1.4 trillion.

Republicans have flatly refused to accept that option, with Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., accusing Democrats of “hijacking” the government funding process.

“All we need is … a handful of Democrats to come across the aisle and vote to keep the government open [with] a short-term funding resolution,” Thune said. “It’s non-partisan, bipartisan. It is clean. It is simply an opportunity to give us the chance to continue to complete the appropriations process. But the Democrats have decided to take it hostage.”

President Donald Trump even cancelled negotiations talks with Democratic leaders after realizing that no meeting “could possibly be productive” given their demands.

“I mean, it’s up to them,” Trump told reporters Friday. “These people are crazy, the Democrats. So if [the government] has to shut down, it’ll have to shut down, but they’re the ones that are shutting down.”

But House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., said Republicans’ refusal to negotiate with Democrats means that if the government shuts down, it is not his party’s fault.

“Democrats are here in the Capitol, ready, willing, and able to sit down with anyone at any time and at any place in order to find a bipartisan path forward to fund the government, avoid a reckless Republican shutdown, and deal with the health care crisis,” Jeffries told reporters Friday. “Democrats are not going to go along to get along.”

Trump Reveals Somali President’s Response to Taking Back Ilhan Omar 

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Donald Trump joked Thursday about sending Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., back to her native Somalia. But there was a problem: Somalia didn’t want her back. 

Trump made the quip while answering questions from reporters during the signing of executive orders and proclamations in the Oval Office. 

“You know, I met the head of Somalia. Did you know that?” Trump told a reporter. “And I suggested that maybe he’d like to take her back.”

“And he didn’t want. He said, ‘I don’t want her,’” Trump joked, prompting laughter from cabinet members including Vice President JD Vance, Attorney General Pam Bondi and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. 

Omar appeared to take offense, taking to X, calling Trump a “lying buffoon” for his remarks. 

“From denying Somalia had a president to making up a story, President Trump is a lying buffoon. No one should take this embarrassing fool seriously,” she wrote. 

It’s unclear what Omar meant by accusing Trump of denying Somalia had a president. In an interview with former CNN anchor–turned–TikToker Don Lemon, she elaborated further. 

“The irony of him, like, saying he spoke to the head of Somalia, when he continuously says Somalia does not have a leader, is kind of actually hilarious,” she said, laughing. “Then if anybody knows the head of Somalia, they know that … what the president said cannot be true.” 

When Lemon asked whether that was funny, Omar replied, “Yes!” 

Asked “why?” she added, “Because I know the president of Somalia, and he wouldn’t say anything like that. But also, I mean, why in the world would he take me back? I’m not like some stateless person. I’m a citizen of the United States. I’m a member of Congress, right?”

Comey’s Son-in-Law Sat on Team Handling His Indictment

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Ex-FBI Director James Comey’s indictment has revealed yet another family member planted inside the Justice Department, this one from the same office that initially refused to investigate the disgraced former FBI director. 

Troy A. Edwards, Jr., Comey’s son-in-law, resigned from his top prosecutorial position Thursday, shortly after the DOJ announced Comey’s indictment in connection with alleged false statements given to Congress. 

Edwards’s employment with the DOJ was relatively unknown until legacy media began reporting on his resignation, reportedly in protest of his father-in-law’s indictment. 

He worked as a senior national security prosecutor and assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, a coveted and influential position within the DOJ. 

The exact date Edwards joined the DOJ is unclear, but court records reviewed by Headline USA confirm he has been with the DOJ since at least 2018. 

Edwards’s resignation letter was conveniently leaked to CNN. It read, “To uphold my oath to the Constitution and country, I hereby resign as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia in the Department of Justice effective immediately.” 

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia is the same office that initially declined to seek a criminal indictment against Comey after he allegedly lied to Congress about facilitating the leak of internal memos to the legacy media. 

Comey wrote the memos during his 2017 meetings with President Donald Trump. They later formed part of the basis for appointing Robert Mueller as special counsel, a move that undermined the Trump presidency for years. 

Comey’s leak of the memos has long been known to officials, including the DOJ Inspector General, who rebuked him for the acts in a special report. 

Comey testified before Congress in 2017 that he never leaked the memos and then doubled down in a separate hearing in 2022, prompting the indictment. 

Despite this, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia slow-walked its investigation, nearly allowing the statute of limitations to expire. 

This prompted Trump to fire Erik Siebert, the top prosecutor in the office, who had been endorsed by Democrats for the position. Siebert had joined the office in 2010.

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Insensitive decorations in a Houston neighborhood appeared to show mannequins hanging from nooses while wearing MAGA hats, seemingly as part of Halloween celebrations. 

The display in Houston’s predominantly Hispanic Second Ward featured two hanging mannequins next to a third mannequin in a poncho under a waving Mexican flag. 

The execution-style themed decoration — first reported by Freedom News via X on Thursdays — also featured two caskets placed nearby for effect. 

The mannequins in MAGA hats also wore black face masks, seemingly referencing the facial coverings used by ICE agents, who have faced violent threats since President Donald Trump was sworn into office in January 2025. 

The Halloween display drew backlash on social media, in large part because it came just days after an ICE facility in Texas was shot at by a suspect reportedly targeting officers enforcing Trump’s immigration policies. 

The shooter, Joshua Jahn, died of a self-inflicted wound but left behind notes railing against the federal government with “ANTI-ICE” engraved into an unspent bullet. He killed a detainee and wounded two others. 

Democrats have fueled anti-ICE sentiment, claiming the agency discriminates against Hispanic communities. Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, even compared ICE to “slave patrols” from the 17th century that hunted runaway slaves. 

According to Statistical Atlas, Houson’s Second Ward is roughly 75 Hispanic. About 11 percent of residents identify as white, and 10 percent as black. 

It is still unclear who created the decoration or whether it was intended as political theater or a statement about rising violence targeting ICE officers.

Report: NYC Investigator ‘illegally’ Helped ICE Agents

(Chris Wade, The Center Square) A New York City investigator violated the city’s “sanctuary” laws by providing details about immigrants held in city jails, according to a new watchdog report.

The report, released Thursday by New York City Department of Investigation, concluded that an investigator assigned to the Homeland Security Investigations Violent Gang Task Force helped Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers apprehend at least two criminal suspects sought for immigration enforcement, in violation of city law and the Department of Corrections policy.

The department’s report concluded that the investigator, who wasn’t identified, had “unwittingly” violated the city sanctuary laws by assisting ICE agents in turning the suspects over to federal custody. It criticized the DOC for failing to provide proper guidance and training to correctional officers about the city’s policies on cooperating with federal agencies.

“New York City law and DOC policy do not allow city resources to be used for the purpose of facilitating the enforcement of federal immigration law, and that prohibition includes the sharing of information with our federal law enforcement partners for that purpose,”  DOI Commissioner Jocelyn E. Strauber said in a statement.

“These laws and related policies restrict local authorities’ ability to share information about an individual’s immigration status, bar local law enforcement from honoring ICE detainers, and prohibit City agencies from assisting with civil immigration enforcement under certain circumstances,” she added.

One of the suspects the investigator helped turn over to ICE agents was Cristian Conception, a Venezuelan migrant who had been sent to Rikers Island jail in connection with the stabbing in a Brooklyn shelter last year, according to investigators. He was charged with entering the country illegally and sent to a federal immigration detention facility in February, according to the report.

The White House touted Conception’s apprehension by federal authorities in a social media post that accused him of belonging to Tren de Aragua, a notorious Venezuelan street gang.

“Why is the government of New York City complaining about law enforcement working together to remove Tren de Aragua gang associates?” Tricia McLaughlin, a spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security, said in a statement. :This is one of the most vicious gangs on planet earth. They rape, maim and murder for sport.”

But Thursday’s report said Conception was serving time on a charge of Assault in the 3rd Degree, which didn’t meet the city’s definition of a “violent or serious crime” that would allow DOC officials to turn him over to federal authorities.

“Immigration authorities did not present either a civil immigration detainer or a judicial warrant, both of which are prerequisites for local authorities to provide assistance when other criteria also are met – namely that the subject of the detainer or warrant be convicted of a violent or serious crime,” the report said.

The agency’s report Thursday didn’t reveal systematic violations of the sanctuary laws, but called on the DOC to conduct a deeper investigation to determine if other similar violations are occurring at city-run jails.

New York City was sued by the Department of Justice in July over its “sanctuary” policies that restrict cooperation with federal immigration crackdowns, accusing the city of shielding wanted criminals from deportation proceedings.

The DOJ also sued New York state in February over a state law that limits state cooperation with federal immigration authorities and again in June over the Protect Our Courts Act, which the DOJ said “shields dangerous aliens from being lawfully detained” and violates the Constitution by obstructing federal immigration operations. All those cases are still pending.

Poll: Majority of Americans Oppose Using Military Force for Regime Change in Venezuela

(Dave DeCamp, Antiwar.com) The majority of Americans oppose using the US military to carry out regime change in Venezuela, according to a poll from YouGov that was conducted in early September.

The poll asked if the respondents would support or oppose the US using military force to overthrow Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, and 53% said they opposed, 29% said they weren’t sure, and just 18% supported the idea.

The opposition was stronger among Democrats, with 67% opposing the use of military force to carry out regime change. More Republicans opposed the idea (38%) than supported it (34%). When asked if they thought Venezuela would be better off if Maduro were overthrown, the majority (68%) said they weren’t sure.

Opposition was even stronger when the respondents were asked about the possibility of invading Venezuela, with 62% saying they oppose the idea and just 16% supporting it. The poll found 74% of Democrats and 48% of Republicans opposed an invasion.

When asked if they would support providing military aid for a Venezuelan effort to overthrow Maduro, 39% opposed the idea, 29% were unsure, and 32% supported it.

The poll also found that Americans were divided over sending US Navy warships near Venezuela, with slightly more opposing (38%) than supporting (36%). But there was a significant partisan divide over the deployment of warships, with 68% of Republicans supporting it and 62% of Democrats opposing it.

The Trump administration has deployed a significant number of warships to the Caribbean in the name of combating drug trafficking, but US officials have told The New York Times that the real purpose of the deployment was to oust Maduro.

WATCH: Trump Supports Expanding Antifa Terror Designation Internationally

(Sarah Roderick-Fitch, The Center Square) On the heels of President Donald Trump designating Antifa a domestic terror organization, he said he supports expanding the designation internationally.

The Center Square asked the president if he had plans to work with his administration to designate Antifa a foreign terror organization (FTO), to which he responded, “yes,” acknowledging the group is international.

An FTO designation would pressure other countries to follow suit, which is already being considered in the Netherlands.

According to the U.S. Department of State, an FTO would stigmatize and isolate the organizations internationally, “deter donations or contributions to and economic transactions with named organizations,” raise awareness, and ” signal to other governments” concerns regarding the organizations.

Trump’s commitment to rooting out Antifa and other left-wing violent organizations has taken center stage since the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

In addition to designating Antifa a domestic terror organization, the president issued a presidential memorandum Thursday evening that targets domestic terrorism and organized political violence.

In the memo, the White House warns that the recent rise in political violence isn’t “isolated incidents and does not emerge organically.”

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller described the move to target left-wing violence as “historic.”

“There is an all of government effort to dismantle left wing terrorism, to dismantle Antifa, to dismantle the organizations that have been carrying out these acts of political violence and terrorism,” Miller told the media. “What we have seen, if you look at whether it be going back to the riots that started with Black Lives Matter and all the way through to the Antifa riots, the attacks on ICE officers, the doxing campaigns and other political assassinations. These are not lone, isolated events. This is part of an organized campaign of radical left terrorism. It is structured; it is sophisticated. It is well funded. It is well planned.”

The administration says the move to target Antifa will allow the government to go after funding sources, with the president saying they are “looking at the funders of these groups.”

The Center Square previously reported that a foundation funded by billionaire George Soros has given $80 million to groups tied to “extremist violence,” including Antifa. 

In designating it as a domestic terror group, the White House describes Antifa as a “militarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law.” The designation added that Antifa uses “illegal means” to carry out “violence and terrorism nationwide” to achieve its goals.

The White House cited “coordinate efforts” to “obstruct” federal law enforcement, specifically immigration enforcement operations through “organized riots” and “violent assaults,” including doxing, which has led to many immigration officials masking their faces as protection.

Netanyahu Tells UN Israel Will ‘Finish the Job’ in Gaza

(Kyle Anzalone, Antiwar.com) Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to a mostly empty room at the UN as delegates engaged in a mass walkout before the Israeli leader began speaking. Netanyahu claimed Israel had eliminated leadership in Yemen, Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria. He went on to say Israel would “finish the job” in Gaza. 

“The final remnants of Hamas are holed up in Gaza City. They vow to repeat the atrocities of Oct. 7,” Netanyahu said on Friday. “That is why Israel must finish the job. That is why we want to do so.”

He demanded the release of the remaining 48 Israeli hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. The family members of the captives released a statement following Netanyahu’s speech, saying his calls to finish the job endangered their loved ones. 

“Netanyahu’s call to ‘finish the job’ and continue fighting endangers the very people we’re fighting to save,” their statement explains. “Every day of continued war puts the living hostages at greater risk.”

The father of one hostage attempted to disrupt Netanyahu’s speech. 

Tel Aviv has undermined the diplomatic process to free the Israeli captives and end the onslaught in Gaza. In March, Israel broke a deal that would have led to the release of all hostages. 

Earlier this month, Israel attempted to assassinate Hamas leadership as they were meeting to discuss a proposal made by Donald Trump that would have seen the release of all the Israeli hostages before a ceasefire was implemented. 

The Israeli leader asserted in 2024 that Israel was close to “finishing the job” by eliminating the remnants of Hamas in Gaza. While the IDF completely destroyed Rafah last year, Hamas continues to have tens of thousands of fighters in Gaza and holds Israeli hostages. 

“We are advancing to the end of the stage of eliminating the Hamas terrorist army; we will continue striking its remnants,” Netanyahu said last July. 

Several top Israeli officials have said the goal in Gaza goes beyond returning the hostages, and the actual objective is to ethnically cleanse Palestine from the Strip. 

Additionally, the Israeli leader’s remarks put him at odds with the American President. Trump told reporters on Friday before Netanyahu’s address that a deal to end the war was “close.”

Trump and Netanyahu also appear divided on the future of the West Bank. The President held a meeting with Arab leaders on the sidelines of the UN summit and said that he would not allow Israel to annex the West Bank. 

Netanyahu asserted that Israel would never allow the creation of a Palestinian state, calling the idea “sheer madness.” He added, It would be like “giving Al-Qaida a state one mile from New York City after September 11.”

Tel Aviv’s refusal to allow the two-state solution to materialize has put the US out of line with its European and Arab allies, who voted to recognize the state of Palestine earlier this week. 

During his address, Netanyahu claimed Israel has waged multiple successful wars across the Middle East over the past two years. He asserted that half of Ansar Allah’s leadership in Yemen had been killed. While Israeli forces assassinated the Prime Minister of Yemen, Ansar Allah continues its blockade of Israeli shipping in the Red Sea, and a drone launched from Yemen injured 22 people at a hotel in southern Israel on Wednesday. 

He went on to say Israel had eliminated the leadership of Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Syrian government led by Bashar al-Assad. Netanyahu then threatened to attack Shia militias in Iraq and restart Israel’s aggressive war against Iran. 

While most UN delegates left the General Assembly hall as Netanyahu began to speak, the Israeli leader said the IDF was broadcasting his speech to Gaza via loudspeakers and by livestreaming it through Palestinians’ phones.
