Trump Ends COVID Economic Relief Negotiations Until AFTER the Election

(Headline USA) President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he has instructed aides to stop negotiating on another round of COVID-19 relief until after the election.

Trump tweeted that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was “not negotiating in good faith” and said he’s asked Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to direct all his focus before the election into confirming his U.S. Supreme Court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett.

“I have instructed my representatives to stop negotiating until after the election when, immediately after I win, we will pass a major Stimulus Bill that focuses on hardworking Americans and Small Business,” Trump tweeted.

Last week, the White House said it was backing a $400 per week pandemic jobless benefit and dangled the possibility of a COVID-19 relief bill of $1.6 trillion.

But that offer was rejected by Pelosi.

Trump broke off talks after Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell warned earlier Tuesday that the economic recovery remains fragile seven months into coronavirus pandemic without further economic stimulus.

Stocks dropped suddenly on Wall Street after Trump ordered a stop to negotiations.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average swung instantly from a gain of about 200 points to a loss of about 300 points.

Powell, in remarks before the National Association for Business Economics, made clear that too little support “would lead to a weak recovery, creating unnecessary hardship for households and businesses.”

Newsom Tells Californians to Put on Face Mask ‘In Between Bites’ While Eating Out

California Gov. Gavin Newsom instructed state residents to put their masks on “in between bites” of food while dining out, even if they are dining with people from the same household.

California has some of the strictest mask regulations in the country.

In some areas, such as Los Angeles and Santa Clara County, people are subject to hefty fines if they are caught not wearing masks in public.

“Simply put, we are seeing too many people with faces uncovered—putting at risk the real progress we have made in fighting the disease,” Newsom said this summer when announcing a statewide mask mandate.

“California’s strategy to restart the economy and get people back to work will only be successful if people act safely and follow health recommendations,” he continued. “That means wearing a face covering, washing your hands, and practicing physical distancing.”

But as many critics pointed out, Newsom’s latest guidance makes no sense:

BIDEN: ‘Some Black Woman’ Stocking Grocery Shelves Kept Me Safe During Virus Lockdown

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden claimed that he and millions of other Americans were able to stay safely at home during the coronavirus shutdown because “some black woman” was stocking the grocery store shelves for them.

“The American public, the blinders have been taken off. They’ve all of a sudden seen a helluva lot clearer,” Biden said on Sept. 15 in Tampa at a campaign event with veterans. “They’ve seen, ‘Geez, the reason I was able to stay sequestered in my home is because some black woman was able to stock the grocery shelf.’”

“Or ‘A young Hispanic is out there, these DREAMers are out there, 60,000 of them, acting as first responders, and nurses and docs.’ Or, all of a sudden, people are realizing, ‘My Lord, these people have done so much, not just black, white, across the board, have done so much for me. We can do this. We can get things done,’” Biden continued.

This isn’t the first time Biden has made a racist, off-the-cuff comment.

Earlier this year on the radio show The Breakfast Club, Biden claimed that African American voters who can’t decide between him and President Donald Trump aren’t really black.

“If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,” Biden said in May.

Biden later apologized and said he hadn’t meant to take the black vote for granted.

“I know that the comments have come off like I was taking the African American vote for granted. But nothing could be further [from] the truth,” Biden said. “I’ve never, ever done that, and I’ve earned it every time I’ve run. I was making the point that I have never taken the vote for granted.”

Later this summer, Biden appeared to suggest that the black community lacks diversity.

“By the way, what you all know but most people don’t know, unlike the African-American community—with notable exceptions—the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things.”

But Trump argued that Biden’s comments revealed what he truly thinks about the African American community.

Biden Refuses to Commit to Disclosing All Info About His Health If Elected

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden refused to commit to disclosing information about his health if he is elected.

When asked about President Donald Trump’s coronavirus diagnosis, Biden blasted the president for not being more transparent and vowed to open up about any serious developments or treatments he received.

However, he acknowledged that there might be some scenarios in which he refuses to disclose all of the details regarding these treatments.

“I can understand there could be certain circumstances relating to national security, where every detail would not be made available in the middle of a particular crisis,” Biden told NBC News on Monday during a town hall.

If he were to disclose the details, it would most likely be “after the fact,” he added.

After facing questions about his mental and physical health, Biden agreed to release his medical records last year.

But former President Barack Obama’s doctor accused Biden of withholding the complete records from the public.

“He’s not a healthy guy,” Dr. David Scheiner, who was Obama’s personal physician for 22 years before he became president, said last year after reading the records.

“He’s not in bad shape for his age, but I wouldn’t say he’s in outstanding health. Could I guarantee he won’t have issues for the next four years? He has a lot of issues that are just sort of sitting there.”

Biden’s health records did not mention an MRI despite the fact that Biden had two brain aneurysms in 1988, the first of which almost killed him.

And they did not mention any details of checkups to screen for future issues. All the records said was that Biden had “received multiple physical therapy treatments and surgeries, for various sports medicine and orthopedic injuries.”

Trump Compares COVID to Seasonal Flu, and Twitter Censors Him

(Headline USA) Still sickened by COVID-19, President Donald Trump on Tuesday played down the disease that hospitalized him for three days.

He compared it anew to the seasonal flu, and was promptly censored by Twitter:

The president also signaled he plans to return soon to the campaign trail.

Anxious to project strength just four weeks from Election Day, Trump tweeted Tuesday morning that he plans to attend next week’s debate with Democrat Joe Biden in Miami.

“It will be great!” he said.

Trump’s doctors have not provided an update on his condition since Monday afternoon, shortly before his departure from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

On Tuesday, Trump also returned to his previous comparisons of COVID-19 to the seasonal flu.

“Many people every year, sometimes over 100,000, and despite the Vaccine, die from the Flu,” he tweeted. “Are we going to close down our Country? No, we have learned to live with it, just like we are learning to live with Covid, in most populations far less lethal!!!”

COVID-19 has shown to be mostly harmful among older populations, most with other problematic health conditions.

Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden said he’d “listen to the science” ahead of the upcoming debates, adding that the campaigns and the debate commission should be “very cautious” in making plans.

“If scientists say that it’s safe, that distances are safe, then I think that’s fine,” he said. “I’ll do whatever the experts say.”

NC Dem Senate Candidate Cal Cunningham Now Accused of Having TWO Mistresses

After Democratic Senate candidate Cal Cunningham admitted last week that he sent sexually explicit text messages to a woman who isn’t his wife, a North Carolina-based lawyer came forward and accused Cunningham of having an affair with a second mistress.

Lawyer Erin Brinkman said on Facebook this week that her friend had been having an affair with Cunningham, a father of two, since 2012.

She was “devastated” to learn that Cunningham had been cheating not only on his wife, but on her as well, Brinkman said.

“He’s been having an affair with a good friend of mine since 2012. Not the woman mentioned in the story. Needless to say, my friend was devastated. But my feeling is, if they’ll cheat WITH you, they’ll cheat ON you!,” Brinkman wrote on Facebook, according to National File.

Cunningham was caught sexting with Arlene Guzman Todd, a California public relations strategist who is also the wife of an army veteran.

The text messages revealed that the two planned to meet at some point in the fall, but it is not clear whether they ended up getting “away for a night soon.”

“The longer we wait the crazier fall schedules will get,” Todd said. “In the spirit of ‘I like what I like’ quote on your adorable video, I operate under the ‘I want what I want’…approach and I want a night with you.”

“Sounds wonderful — I want that too!!! Very badly,” Cunningham responded.

Cunningham apologized, but said he will not drop out of the close race against incumbent Republican Sen. Thom Tillis.

“I have hurt my family, disappointed my friends, and am deeply sorry,” he said. “The first step in repairing those relationships is taking complete responsibility, which I do. I ask that my family’s privacy be respected in this personal matter.”

“I remain grateful and humbled by the ongoing support that North Carolinians have extended in this campaign, and in the remaining weeks before this election I will continue to work to earn the opportunity to fight for the people of our state,” he continued.

Since then, Cunningham has gone silent, dropping out of a scheduled Facebook town hall on Monday without explanation.

He has also refused to answer reporters’ questions about his extramarital affair.

Tillis said that Cunningham owes North Carolinians an explanation, especially since there are serious consequences that accompany his affair. Since Cunningham served in the military, he could be held responsible under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

“It is clear that adultery is a crime under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. It is not clear whether sexting has something to do with a criminal infraction under the code. Perhaps it is conduct unbecoming an officer. I don’t know,” attorney Mark Sullivan, a retired Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps officer, told WRAL.

At the very least, Cunningham’s conduct could “make it impossible for him or her to be promoted,” or it could “result in a prompt retirement,” Sullivan added.

“He is an officer in the military,” Tillis argued. “He’s also subject to disciplinary action just on the basis of what he’s admitted to.”

Democrats have continued to voice support for Cunningham, and have said that they will focus on policy instead of the candidate’s private life — although their statements came out before the news of the possible second mistress.

“The polls I’ve seen show that Medicaid expansion is the No. 1, health care is the No. 1 issue in North Carolina, and that’s what we’re going to talk about for the next month,” said Rep. Darren Jackson, D-N.C.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has also said that it stands by its endorsement of Cunningham and will continue to run ads for him.

“We are confident that he will bring the same courage and determination to the Senate as he has while serving our country in uniform,” said Lauren Passalacqua, DSCC communication director.

Tillis, however, said Cunningham ought to be prepared to answer to the voters.

“Cal is trying to finesse it as an errant text, but we now have a second report,” Tillis told Fox News on Tuesday. “Cal owes the people of North Carolina a full explanation. On the debate stage last week, Cal said it’s about integrity and I agree. His family should be kept private — he’s got teenage children — but Cal owes North Carolinians, all of the voters a full and thorough explanation.”

Ilhan Omar Tells Biden to ‘Get It Together’ After Pulling Anti-Trump Ads

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., told Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden to “get it together,” after his campaign stopped airing attack ads against President Donald Trump.

Trump checked into Walter Reed Medical Center on Friday after announcing that morning that he has tested positive for COVID-19. Following three days of treatment, he returned to the White House on Monday evening.

Biden’s campaign publicly declared that it would pull its negative ads while the president recovered, The Sun reported.

However, it is unclear whether Biden actually did so. Some in the Trump campaign noted that the adds still appeared to be running.

Nonetheless, while Biden tweeted his sympathy, Omar used the opportunity to call for the Senate to shut down so that Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett cannot be confirmed before the election.

The “Squad” member, who was recently implicated in an expose about illegal ballot-harvesting in her home district of Minneapolis, said Trump would have taken the opposite course if Biden were the one who tested positive.

“Why would Biden delay or suspend his campaign when we know Trump would’ve had ads up by noon today ridiculing Biden for testing positive? Get it together,” she tweeted on Friday.

She said the Rose Garden ceremony for Barrett caused the virus to spread among the White House staff and members of Congress.

Democrats are furious because the Rose Garden event did not require attendees to wear masks or social distance.

Omar said Trump has not cared about the virus until it personally affected him.

“For months, we have been hoping for a simple acknowledgement from the President—to hear the words, ‘We will get through this together,'” Omar said, despite Trump having made similar statements for the past six months.

“And now we only hear those words when it is about him—not the hundreds of thousands of people who have lost their lives, and the millions whose families have been touched by it because of his malfeasance,” she said.

NBA Coach: ‘Reimagine’ Police to ‘Protect,’ Not ‘Chase Down and Murder’

NBA coach Steve Kerr said on Monday that he does not support defunding the police, but reimagining them so that they do not “chase down and murder” innocent people, Fox News reported.

“You know, I think we need police, but I think, I think we need to reimagine the role of the police, got to get back to protect and serve, not to chase down and murder,” the Golden State Warriors coach said on Spotify’s “Jemele Hill is Unbothered.”

“And that may sound extreme, but it’s kind of the truth when you watch all these acts of violence happening,” he said.

In the interview, Kerr tried to distance himself from comments he made in June that praised the Oakland Unified School District’s decision to shut down its police force.

He said those comments should not be misconstrued to imply that he supports the radical left’s “Defund the Police” movement.

“It was a hugely controversial issue,” Kerr said, speaking about OUSD.

“And now I am known as someone who believes in defunding the police,” he complained. “I’ve never made a comment about defunding the police. And in fact, I think it’s a terribly misleading phrase to say defund the police.”

Kerr’s incendiary and false rhetoric echoes the sentiment of NBA star LeBron James, who claimed, without evidence, that black people cannot safely leave their homes.

Some, however, have made the distinction that the true systemic injustice in the country is the classist, socioeconomic rift.

To that end, race-baiting NBA stars and other athletes are deflecting from their own oppression of the lower classes by claiming that they, too are victims of an oppressive system.

Moreover, critics have noted that beyond the semantic subterfuge there is no meaningful distinction between “reimagining” the police and “defunding” the police.

Both movements want to remove police from communities and replace them with bureaucrats, social workers and self-proclaimed violence deescalation experts.

“So I’m taking all kinds of s—t right now for being the guy who wants to defund the police,” Kerr said. “I happen to think the police should be reimagined, not defunded.”

STUDY: Most Extreme Liberal College Students Back Violence to Suppress ‘Offensive’ Speech

Nearly one-fifth of college students in the U.S. believe it is acceptable to use violence as a means to shut down speech they find offensive, according to a new poll.

The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, joined by Real Clear Education and College Pulse, conducted a survey among 20,000 students from 55 different colleges and found disturbing trends on the nation’s campuses.

More than 18% admitted they do not have a problem with using violence to stifle campus speech, and that number rises to 21% at Ivy League schools.

“Liberal students expressed a higher acceptance of violence,” FIRE explained.

“Students identifying as extremely liberal said violence to stop a speech or event from occurring on campus was ‘always’ or ‘sometimes’ acceptable at a rate double than students identifying as extremely conservative: 13% to 6%,” it continued. “More than a quarter of extremely liberal respondents said it is ‘rarely’ acceptable, compared to 8% of extremely conservative respondents.”

More than 60% of students who identified as “extreme liberals” said it is “always” or “sometimes” acceptable to shout down a speaker, while only 15% of “extreme conservatives” agreed.

This hostile environment has forced self-identifying conservative students to self-censor, the study found.

While 55% of liberal students said they found themselves hiding their political beliefs, nearly 72% of conservative students said they believe it is necessary to do so.

Certain topics are particularly difficult to talk about, the study found. More than 40% of college students said they were afraid to talk about race, and 45% said they were afraid to talk about abortion.

Liberal students are also much more likely to be intolerant of speakers who hold opposing viewpoints.

While 71% of Republican students said they would support Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden coming to speak on their campus, only 49% of Democratic students said they would welcome President Donald Trump to speak at their college.

The research also named the best and worst colleges for free speech.

The top five best colleges for free speech were: the University of Chicago; Kansas State University;Texas A&M University; University of California, Los Angeles; and Arizona State University.

The top five worst colleges were: Syracuse University, Dartmouth College, Louisiana State University, University of Texas, and DePauw University.

CNN ‘Medical Analyst’: Trump Should Be Forced to Undergo ‘Psychiatric Evaluation’

Dr. Leana Wen, a CNN medical analyst and the former president of Planned Parenthood, said on Sunday that President Donald Trump should be forced to undergo a “psychiatric evaluation” because he decided “to go for a car ride” while recovering from the coronavirus.

Earlier Sunday, Trump, who was admitted to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for treatment, was seen riding in a motorcade and waving at supporters who were camped out in front of the hospital.

Trump and Secret Service agents were seen wearing masks inside the vehicles, but liberals quickly accused the president of endangering his agents’ well-being.

Deputy White House Press Secretary Judd Deere, however, said that the last-minute motorcade ride followed all of the “appropriate precautions”

He also noted that it had been “cleared by the medical team as safe.”

Critics were quick to point out that Wen has more important things to think about than what Trump does with his recovery time:
