DOJ Files Fraud Charges Against Voting-Machine Company That Sued Fox News

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Smartmatic, a voting technology company that is suing Fox News and others who questioned the integrity of its equipment during the 2020 election, has been implicated in a bribery scheme, CNN reported.

According to recently released court documents, the Department of Justice has filed money-laundering charges against former Filipino election administrator Andres Bautista, with the charges implicating four executives from Smartmatic subsidiaries as co-conspirators.

Bautista had given Smartmatic a $199 million contract to supply the Philippines with 94,000 voting machines in 2016—an election won by Rodrigo Duterte.

DOJ documents suggest that Smartmatic executives used slush funds, fake contacts and fake email accounts to take bribes under the code word “salsa.”

Bautista, however, denied all accusations.

“I am surprised to learn about a complaint filed against me. I have never been contacted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security about it for comment,” he tweeted. “But let me be very clear. I did not ask for nor receive any bribe money from Smartmatic or any other entity.”

Despite the connections, Smartmatic spokeswoman Samira Saba said in a statement that the Florida-based company’s legal troubles have nothing to do with the quality of its product.

According to Saba, Smartmatic “has never won a project through any illegal means” and claimed that Bautista and the investigation are “not related to Smartmatic election security or integrity.”

The spokeswoman also noted that the company’s business with the Philippines is not legally dubious, despite all appearances to the contrary.

“Dozens of Comelec officials have a say in selecting the provider,” she wrote.

“Over the years Smartmatic has both won and lost bids in the Philippines,” she continued. “It is important to note that this is not related to Smartmatic election security or integrity. Smartmatic always has and always will cooperate with authorities.”

Hersh: Biden’s Nord Stream Bombing Was Attack on Germany, Not Russia

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Seymour Hersh has claimed to identify the real target of last September’s Nord Stream bombing—one of the largest acts of ecoterrorism in world history—and it wasn’t Russia.

Hersh, who broke the story in February that the Biden administration ordered the bombing, said in a Substack article Tuesday that the intended target of the attack was actually America’s NATO allies, including Germany.

Citing an unnamed official with knowledge of the operation, Hersh said the original plan was for the Nord Stream attack to deter Vladimir Putin from invading Ukraine.

But when Putin disregarded the threat and invaded anyway, the Biden administration decided to use an attack on Nord Stream to keep its NATO allies invested in the war, according to Hersh.

“The Biden administration blew up the pipelines but the action had little to do with winning or stopping the war in Ukraine,” Hersh said in the article, which published on the one-year anniversary of the Nord Stream attack.

“It resulted from fears in the White House that Germany would waver and turn on the flow of Russia gas—and that Germany and then NATO, for economic reasons, would fall under the sway of Russia and its extensive and inexpensive natural resources,” Hersh said.

“And thus followed the ultimate fear: that America would lose its long-standing primacy in Western Europe.”

Hersh also used his Tuesday article to respond to criticism of his initial February report, which relied on an unnamed official.

“I must note here that I’ve won literally scores of prizes in my career for stories in the New York Times and the New Yorker that relied on not a single named source,” Hersh said.

“In the past year we’ve seen a series of contrary newspaper stories, with no named first-hand sources, claiming that a dissident Ukrainian group carried out the technical diving operation attack in the Baltic Sea via a 49-foot rented yacht called the Andromeda.”

The New York Times has since admitted that the “Ukrainian group story” is likely bogus, and open-source radar data has further implicated the U.S. in the attack.

However, the Times has also called for the Nord Stream attacker to remain secret.

“Naming a culprit could set off unintended consequences. Claiming Russia was behind the attack would mean it had successfully sabotaged major critical infrastructure in Western Europe’s backyard, and could spark demands for a response. Blaming Ukrainian operatives could stoke internal debate in Europe about support for their eastern neighbor,” the Times said in April.

“And naming a Western nation or operatives could trigger deep mistrust when the West is struggling to maintain a united front.”

Gaetz Clashes w/ Bartiromo, Forces Host to Admit Defeat on McCarthy Spending

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) In a fiery exchange on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures, host Maria Bartiromo and Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., clashed over the government funding bills and the best way to proceed.

The debate ultimately led to Bartiromo acknowledging that Gaetz had influenced her thinking on the matter, marking a potential blow to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.

“@RepMattGaetz made a very good argument,” Bartiromo admitted on Sept. 25. “And my thinking is evolving.  I was happy to have him on.”

The central point of contention in the debate was Gaetz’s strong opposition to McCarthy’s approach to government funding bills. Gaetz, a staunch conservative, argued for a vote on single-issue legislation, asserting that each bill should be debated and voted on separately.

During the tense ten-minute exchange, Gaetz explained his stance, saying, “The only way to do this, Maria, is line by line. Kevin [McCarthy] wants it in one big, up-or-down vote; keep the government open, shut it down.”

Bartiromo, known for her witty political commentary, countered Gaetz’s argument by pointing out that bills were already in progress.

“The bills are being worked on; you just heard [Ohio Republican Rep.] Jim Jordan say that they are effecting four bills this week, appropriations bills this week, to get through that would partially fund the government, the Defense bill as well,” Bartiromo said. “You wanted the Defense bill to move forward, did you not?”

Gaetz did not hold back in response. “Yes, that’s why I voted for it, and I voted for the rule to proceed on to it,” Gaetz added. “Any by the way, don’t give Kevin McCarthy credit for the fact that we’re moving on to these four appropriations bills. That was the deal that House conservatives foisted upon Kevin McCarthy when he couldn’t just move the big spending bills without moving the bills that cut spending.”

The debate continued with Bartiromo highlighting that McCarthy had plans to address the four bills this week. Gaetz, however, asserted, “Because we’re making him do it!”

The Fox host expressed concern that the blockade could thwart GOP progress. “So to push now, to blow up all of the wins that you all have had now,” Bartiromo responded. “Which wins? Please enumerate them,” Gaetz pushed back.

Popular Account ‘Catturd’ Swatted after Vitriolic Doxxing

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Catturd, a popular anonymous internet personality known for his humorous jabs at left-wing politics, faced a harrowing swatting incident while live-streaming his podcast, In the Litter Box with Jewels and Catturd.

This alarming event followed the doxxing of his identity by unhinged left-wing critics, marking yet another apparent attempt to silence conservative voices.

In his own words, Catturd described the chilling episode to his over 2 million followers on Monday. “I was just swatted during my podcast,” the man behind the account said. “The caller pretended to be me and told the cops – ‘I’ve stabbed someone, had a gun, and was going to kill myself.’”

The account bluntly blamed his doxxing for the dangerous swatting. “This is the result of being doxxed over and over by leftist outlets,” he said. “You can imagine how dangerous this is. I’m okay, the pets are okay, and the local cops were fantastic.”

Catturd had been a target of doxing in the past months, with several accounts sharing his name and alleged residency. However, despite the shock, he reassured his followers he will remain active on social media. “Thanks for your concern. I’ll continue to talk truth to power,” the person continued. “I won’t stop.  Love you all.”

The swatting event sparked widespread online support, with the hashtag #Catturd trending on Twitter. Parody account il Donaldo Trumpo expressed solidarity with, “AMERICA STANDS WITH CATTURD!!!” Meanwhile, political commentator Juanita Broaddrick condemned the malicious act as “evil.”

Swatting appears to have become a tool aimed at attacking those who oppose the left. Just last year, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., became the subject of swatting a whopping six times.

“Swatting is a very serious crime,” Greene said on Oct. 25, shortly after the six swatting. “The caller wants to have their victim murdered by police. But it is also a giant abuse of police resources and time, which is another reason it is a serious crime. God bless my local police.”

23M People Exposed to Toxic Waste Because of ‘Green’ Energy

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A new study revealed that tens of millions of people have been exposed to toxic waste because climate change activists on the streets and in politics pushed everyone to transition to “green” energy.

According to Slay News, 23 million people, which is more than the population of the state of Florida, have now been exposed to toxic water runoff from metal mining.

The authors of the report warned its readers of the devastating impacts of the reckless transition to “green” energy.

In addition to that, the report stated that the demand for mining minerals needed for electric-powered vehicle batteries has polluted more than 31,000 miles of rivers and destroyed 16 million acres of farmland.

It was also discovered by the researchers that 23 million people, 5.72 million in livestock, over 16 million acres of irrigated farmland and over 297,800 miles worth of rivers all around the world have been contaminated by mining’s toxic byproducts seeping into the water.

The news source also reported that this metal mining includes many so-called “rare earth elements” that are essential to the manufacture of high-tech solar cells, wind turbines and the batteries that are needed to store sustainable “green” energy.

Additionally, global metals mining has recently faced shocking lawsuits against major tech firms, including Apple, Google, Microsoft and Tesla, with these companies being accused of supporting child slavery in the Congo, where 70% of the industry’s cobalt is sourced.

“Rapid growth in global metal mining is crucial if the world is to make the transition to green energy,” Chris Thomas, a zoologist at the University of Lincoln whose specialty is in spatial ecology and threats to the global water supply, said.

He led the analysis and modeling work for the new study, which was published last Saturday in the well-known magazine Science, as it was reported by Slay News.

Kenyan Illegal Who Murdered 24 Elderly Women Is Killed by Cell Mate

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A Kenyan national accused of murdering 24 elderly American women met his end in a Texas prison after his cellmate reportedly killed him, prison officials announced.

Billy Chemirmir was reportedly in the country illegally, having overstayed his tourist visa since July 2003. Before he was found dead, Chemirmir was serving a life sentence for the gut-wrenching murders of 81-year-old Lu Thi Harris and 87-year-old Mary Brooks.

The 50-year-old had posed as a caregiver before smothering his victims with pillows and later selling their belongings on eBay, as reported by Breitbart on Sept. 19. The outlet added that law enforcement had initially believed the deaths to be due to natural causes, owing to Chemirmir’s deceitful tactics.

While it isn’t immediately clear how Chemirmir perished, family members of the victims reacted to the sudden passing of the perpetrator with relief.

“My mother died in fear,” said Doris Gleason, whose 92-year-old mother fell victim to Chemirmir’s assault. “This man did not have a peaceful passing. There’s some relief in feeling that he didn’t get off easily.”

One survivor, Mary Bartel, played a pivotal role in the prosecution and recounted her harrowing encounter with Chemirmir.

“He said, ‘Don’t fight me. Lie on the bed,’” Bartel recalled the brute telling her. “I did as he said because I knew I couldn’t overpower him, physically.”

Speaking with prosecutors, Bartel, who has reportedly passed away since her testimony, admitted she was unable to overpower the alleged perpetrator.

“He just smashed a pillow down hard over my face and my chest, and I just couldn’t breathe,” she added. “I tried to move my left hand under the pillow to get to my medical alert button. … It was totally impossible for me to even because the pillow was slammed over me so hard over my head and chest.”

According to Breitbart, the Kenyan man left her for dead before she regained consciousness, with the assistance of paramedics.

During the trial, Ellen French House, whose mother Norma French also died at the hands of the convicted murderer, displayed two photos of her mother. The first one was of her alive, and the second showed her after she was murdered.

“This is my beautiful mother,” House said while displaying the first image. “This is my mother after you pried her wedding ring off of her finger that she couldn’t even get off.”

Chemirmir’s reign of terror came to an end when he was found dead in his prison cell at a rural East Texas, Texas jail. Law enforcement identified his cellmate as the assailant responsible for his demise. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, the Associated Press reported on Sept. 19.

Biden Loses in Federal Court; Offshore Drilling Won’t Be Restricted

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A federal judge recently stopped the Biden administration from scaling back oil and gas drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.

As reported by the American Tribune, the Department of the Interior [DOI] previously moved to reduce the area permitting offshore oil leases by roughly 6 million acres.

As a result, a preliminary injunction was issued by U.S. District Judge James Cain of the Western District of Louisiana. Cain claimed that the DOI and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s initiative was procedurally invalid, adding that what the Biden administration did was a “weaponization” of policy.

“The process followed here looks more like a weaponization of the Endangered Species Act than the collaborative, reasoned approach prescribed by the applicable laws and regulations,” Cain said in the injunction.

He also added that “political considerations” are not an excuse to push the agenda instead of following the law.

“Even when an agency’s decision is based on political considerations, it is not excused from justifying the position—particularly when the decision is a pivot from a prior policy,” Cain said, adding that “failure to do so leads to ‘surprise switcheroo’ by an agency against regulated entities.”

Erik Milito, president of the National Ocean Industries Association, also criticized the Biden administration, saying that the order that was issued by the corrupt administration was an “unnecessary decision.” He claimed that the policy stance was restrictive toward his industry on principles that were rooted not in law or science but in leftist activism.

“The injunction is a necessary and welcome response from the court to an unnecessary decision by the Biden administration. The removal of millions of highly prospective acres and the imposition of excessive restrictions stemmed from a voluntary agreement with activist groups that circumvented the law, ignored science and bypassed public input,” he said.

Brownface Trudeau, Corruption-Plagued Zelenskyy Give Standing Ovation to WWII Nazi

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy found themselves embroiled in controversy as they gave a standing ovation to a 98-year-old Nazi veteran during the Ukrainian leader’s visit to Canada this weekend.

Yaroslav Hunka, a former member of the 14th Waffen-SS Grenadier Division, a volunteer unit comprised of ethnic Ukrainians under Nazi command, was the center of attention during the disturbing debacle.

The recognition of Hunka took place in the House of Commons, where House Speaker Anthony Rota introduced him as a “Ukrainian-Canadian war hero” from his local district, the Independent reported on Monday.

Both Trudeau and Zelenskyy stood up in unison to pay their respect to the disgraced former Nazi serviceman. Understandably, the move ignited a wave of criticism, with Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre demanding an apology from Trudeau.

“Mr. Trudeau must personally apologize and avoid passing the blame to others as he always does,” Poilievre said.

In response to the mounting backlash, Trudeau issued an apology (sort of). “Obviously, it’s extremely upsetting that this happened,” Trudeau claimed. “The speaker has acknowledged his mistake and has apologized.”

Trudeau, who came under under scrutiny for wearing “brownface” at a 2001 party celebrating “Arabian Nights,” strangely attempted to shift the blame to Russia for spreading disinformation.

“I think it’s gonna be really important that all of us push back against Russian propaganda, Russian disinformation and continue our steadfast and unequivocal support for Ukraine,” he added.

House Speaker Rota also issued an apology, admitting that he had been unaware of the former Nazi’s full story.

“I have subsequently become aware of more information which causes me to regret my decision to do so,” he remarked.

Notably absent from the apologies was Zelenskyy, who has faced his own share of troubles in recent months. During his visit to Canada, Zelenskyy sought foreign aid amid a backdrop of corruption scandals in Ukraine, particularly concerning fraudulent spending and war profiteering within the his defense department.

CDC Refused to Release Latest Data on Heart Failure Caused by Vaccines

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention refused to release the latest data on heart failure recorded in patients who had recently received COVID-19 jab.

The CDC hasn’t updated information on reported cases of myocarditis and pericarditis following COVID-19 vaccination, even though both are common side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine, Slay News reported.

The news outlet also said that the CDC has regularly conveyed the number of post-vaccination myocarditis and pericarditis cases to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System [VAERS] since the former helps manage VAERS, which allows medical practitioners to report vaccine side effects they record in patients.

The CDC uses VAERS data to consult with the agency’s advisers on updates to the vaccines.

However, the CDC failed to give any updates on VAERS data during a meeting on Sept. 12, 2023.

When an agency spokesman was asked for the information, he pointed to one of the CDC studies that covers data only through Oct. 23, 2022.

There were nine reports of myocarditis or pericarditis following vaccination with one of the bivalent COVID-19 vaccines, which were introduced in September 2022, according to that study. Out of all of these reports, seven were verified by medical review.

When the spokesman was asked for more recent data, he acknowledged that the agency has it but admitted that the CDC won’t release it to the public, without providing the reason behind that decision.

“The CDC has acknowledged that heart inflammation is a complication of mRNA COVID-19 shots and, yet, the only published data released by CDC officials about that complication is a seven-week study that ended on Oct. 23, 2022,” Barbara Loe Fisher, co-founder and president of the National Vaccine Information Center, said, asking for more recent information.

Kim Witczak, a drug safety advocate who runs the nonprofit Woodymatters, accused the Biden administration of an “evil” cover-up as schools push to mandate the jab.

“I am tired of the CDC and FDA deciding what information the public needs and doesn’t need. The CDC’s response of ‘when appropriate, the updated safety data will be published’ is unacceptable and they wonder why there is vaccine hesitancy and lack of trust in public health officials,” she said.

DeSantis and Newsom Head to Fox for Televised Cat Fight

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The culmination of a years-long rivalry between California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is set to unfold in the months ahead as the two political heavyweights face off in a televised debate on Fox News.

The highly anticipated clash is scheduled for Nov. 30 and will take place in Georgia, promising a potential showdown of 90 minutes between the two political figures.

Sean Hannity, the anchor who will moderate the debate, expressed his eagerness for the debate. “I’m looking forward to providing viewers with an informative debate about the everyday issues and governing philosophies that impact the lives of every American,” Hannity told Fox News on Monday.

The idea of this heated debate can be traced back to June when Newsom, a Democrat, made an appearance in a contentious Hannity interview. It was there that the idea for a debate first surfaced, with DeSantis, a Republican, promptly accepting the challenge. “Let’s get it done. Just tell me when and where — we’ll do it,” DeSantis remarked.

The rivalry between the two governors has been a matter of public jabs since 2022, with Newsom running a political ad in July 2022 urging Florida voters to flee the Sunshine State. The ad added fuel to the allegations that Newsom eyed a potential bid for the White House in 2024.

“Republican leaders – they’re banning books, making it harder to vote, restricting speech in classrooms, even criminalizing women and doctors,” Newsom claimed of DeSantis’s pledge to fight against radical gender ideology. “I urge all of you to join the fight, or join us in California, where we still believe in freedom.”

In response, DeSantis filmed a counter-ad in San Francisco, criticizing the city’s policies and calling it “collapsed.”

“It’s really collapsed because of leftist policies, and these policies have caused people to flee this area,” DeSantis remarked in the video, posted on June 20. “They don’t prosecute criminals like they do in most parts of the country, and the wreckage is really sad to see.”

DeSantis is also scheduled to appear in the upcoming second GOP primary debate on Fox Business.
