Boston University Loaned $600K to Ibram Kendi’s Brother-In-Law

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was revealed that in September 2020, Boston University [BU] approved a $600,000 mortgage to an unnamed professor who is connected to a trust that is controlled by Ibram X. Kendi’s brother-in-law, Macharia Edmonds.

Just weeks before that, Kendi launched his Center for Antiracist Research at the same institution, according to the Washington Free Beacon.

The news source wrote that the mortgage helped to cover the down payment for a $4.56 million luxury penthouse triplex — the “best of sophisticated Boston living” — the real estate site Redfin stated.

In addition to that, the Beacon obtained public real estate records that revealed that the trust is controlled by Edmonds, a former Barack Obama campaign official and attorney who now serves as a Global Content Policy Lead for YouTube in San Francisco. He controls the trust on behalf of its unnamed beneficiary.

It was later revealed by BU spokeswoman Rachel Lapal Cavallario that the beneficiary of the trust is a professor at the university who “applied for and received the loan under a longstanding university program to assist senior faculty with their housing needs.”

Cavallario declined to provide the person’s name, the interest rate of the loan, how much has been repaid and any documentation about the university’s faculty home loan program.

Edmonds is connected to BU only through Kendi, who is married to his sister, Sadiga, an associate professor at the university.

Dean Zerbe, a former senior counsel to the Senate Finance Committee, asked a rhetorical question regarding why BU is giving away loans to its professors in the first place.

“There are institutions that actually do provide loans. They’re called banks. People like to get loans at banks, not at universities. It raises a fundamental question of why did you not get a loan from a bank?” Zerbe said.

He then explained the reason why it happened.

“The reality is, overwhelmingly, when we look at these loans, they are sweetheart deals and they would not have gotten them from a bank. And that’s the problem with them,” Zerbe said.

More Dems. Rip Biden’s Border Chaos: ‘The Guy’s Running for President’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Amid mounting disgust within the Democratic Party over the ongoing border crisis, prominent Democrats from Massachusetts have joined the chorus of criticism against President Joe Biden.

The state’s Democratic leaders, including House Speaker Ron Mariano and Gov. Maura Healey, are now demanding immediate action from the Biden administration.

“The guy’s running for president. He better start paying attention to this,” Mariano told reporters, according to Politico. “We need to put a framework around this from the feds. We need someone to take charge of this and say, ‘This is what you can expect.’”

Healey, who also sits on Biden’s campaign advisory board, echoed Mariano’s sentiments. “We need two things from the Biden administration: We need federal funding and we need expedited work authorizations.”

Seemingly anticipating no action, Mariano expressed hope that the upcoming cold weather might deter illegal aliens from crossing the border

“The hope is — and it’s only a prayer — that cold weather slows the flow of the families coming over the border. But we’re not even sure if that will work,” he added on Thursday morning. “Unless we get help, we are going to have some difficulties.”

The concerns raised by Massachusetts officials come as their state’s shelter system struggles to cope with an overwhelming influx of illegal aliens. According to Politico, Massachusetts is currently housing approximately 6,700 families, with nearly half of them comprising illegal aliens.

The growing frustration within the Democratic Party is not limited to Massachusetts alone. Several Democratic-governed cities, including New York City and Chicago, are grappling with the consequences of the border crisis.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams made a visit to Mexico in an attempt to dissuade potential illegal border crossers

“We are neighbors. We are familia. Mi casa es su casa. Your struggles are my struggles,” Adam told Mexican nationals according to the Associated Press.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson also voiced his concerns as his city faces an unprecedented influx of illegal aliens. “They’re sending buses in the middle of the night. And so that number continues to change throughout the day,” he said. “It could be as many as 22 today.” Brandon too will travel to the southern border to survey the chaos.

In a separate development, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul called on Biden to take action to close the border

“We want them to have a limit on who can come across the border. It is too open right now,” Hochul said during an Oct. 1 interview with CBS News.

Biden Allies, Donors Panicking of ‘Third Party’ Spoilers in 2024 Election

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Joe Biden’s allies and donors are reportedly freaking out about the possibility of third-party candidates disrupting the president’s 2024 re-election campaign, according to Politico on Friday.

One prominent donor expressing concern is LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman. Donors like Hoffman are closely watching a PAC called “No Labels,” which has allegedly amassed financial backing in a bid to ensure that third-party candidates gain access to the 2024 ballots.

The worry among Biden’s supporters is that these third-party candidates could siphon off crucial votes, potentially jeopardizing the scandal-ridden president’s chances of securing a second term. These concern coincide with scathingly low polls and a series of scandals plaguing the White House.

Matt Bennett, the co-founder of Third Way, echoed these concerns during an interview with Politico. “Biden wins a head-to-head with Trump, so as long as we can hand him that, he can win. But [third-party candidates] will make it very hard,” Bennett said. “People are very focused on this threat.”

Even Biden’s own pollster, John Della Volpe, acknowledged the potential for former President Donald Trump to mount a successful 2024 bid with the assistance of third-party candidates.

“I think it’s exceedingly difficult for Trump to win a traditional campaign against Biden so, like 2016, the only path for his victory is with help from third parties and outside actors,” Volpe said. “Right now, the group of potential Independent Party candidates are more likely, as a group, to hurt Biden than Trump.”

Adding to the concern is the possibility of a bid by Democrat Robert F. Kennedy. Reports suggest that RFK Jr.’s PAC is actively preparing for an independent run, intensifying the unease among Democrats.

But purported polls find that RFK Jr. poses a bigger threat to Trump. In a recent interview with comedian Theo Von on Sept. 25, Kennedy Jr. hinted at the impact he could have on the race, saying, “I take more votes from President Trump than I do from President Biden.”

In response to these worries, a Trump ally revealed to Semafor that the Trump campaign is clandestinely gearing up to target Kennedy Jr.

“We’re gonna be dropping napalm after napalm on his head reminding the public of his very liberal views, dating back to 2012.”

NJ Attorney General Probes Menendez’s Potential Role in Fatal Crash Coverup

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) N.J. Attorney General Matthew Platkin, a Democrat, has initiated an investigation into a fatal car crash involving Nadine Menendez, the wife of Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., after startling allegations of potential political interference in the initial police inquiry. The 2018 crash tragically resulted in the death of Richard Koop.

The investigation comes in the wake of a scathing report, which raised questions about whether Sen. Menendez may have played a role in influencing the outcome of the police investigation into the incident.

In response to these allegations, the attorney general’s office seized documents from the Bergen County police on Thursday, aiming to ascertain if the probe was conducted without political interference.

As reported by the Times, the incident unfolded when Menendez drove her car into Koop, whose body was thrown off the curb. According to reports, she was swiftly released without a summons following the arrival of a retired police officer at the scene, who had allegedly been called by a friend.

Menendez was purportedly en route to meet a group of friends, including a retired Hackensack police officer, who was the individual who ultimately appeared at the accident site. Official records allege that Menendez was “not at fault” in the crash and that Koop had both marijuana and alcohol in his system.

But Koop’s family questioned the veracity of the initial probe into their sibling’s tragic death.

“The family really has had serious concerns over what we felt was a very sparse, one-sided investigation,” said Rosemarie Koop-Angelicola, a family member. “Definitely a lack of legal enthusiasm to take this case, definite lack of media coverage, and a lack of communication by the authorities of Bergen County. We felt that the whole thing was very silently swept under the rug.”

Adding a disturbing layer to the allegations, a federal indictment alleged that Sen. Menendez engaged in an illegal acquisition of a new vehicle for his wife. The indictment claimed that Menendez offered assistance in a criminal investigation of a New Jersey businessman in exchange for a Mercedes Benz car valued at $50,000.

ChatGPT Compiled Blacklist of Conservative Websites

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) One Twitter user said that he discovered a list of blacklisted websites that OpenAI’s ChatGPT-4 will not draw from, for reasons such as “conspiracy theories” and “hate speech.”

According to Elephant Civics, the list included various conservative news outlets like Breitbart News, falsely accusing the site of “hyper-partisan and misleading information,” and the Epoch Times for “misinformation and conspiracy theories.”

“This list contains hundreds of names, but ALL conservative news outlets seem to be included,” Elephant Civics said.

The person said that he discovered the blacklist while asking ChatGPT to provide a list of credible and non-credible news sources.

As a result, ChatGPT explained that it is forbidden from using some sources because some of the “features in ChatGPT’s Large Language Model (LLM) like AI safety measures, guardrails, dataset/output/prompt filtering and human-in-the-loop mechanisms are designed to ensure the model operates within ethical, legal and quality bounds.”

According to that logic, if the list that the user discovered is real, it means ChatGPT is forbidden from using several conservative sources to shape its worldview and deliver responses.

Through a series of prompts, a self-described Republican and a computer science aficionado said that he was able to get ChatGPT to refer to a list of blacklisted sites, kept in a “Transparency Log.”

He was able to achieve that by asking ChatGPT to “tell me a story,” one of the many creative ways users have gotten around the strict rules put in place by the chatbot’s developers who are politically biased leftists.

Breitbart, one of the blacklisted sites, reported that ChatGPT has been known to make up citations and facts in the past — a problem in AI that is known in the industry as “hallucinating.” The news source added that OpenAI’s likely line of defense is that the “Transparency Log” does not exist.

“We do not keep a list of sites categorized as extremist, [conspiratorial] and unreliable, and use this list to avoid citing them as sources. The only category of content that we block is sites known to contain illegal copyrighted material. All other instances of ChatGPT being unable to share links to content are due to it respecting the choices of site owners,” OpenAI spokesperson said.

McCarthy Breaks Silence of Resignation Rumor after Embarrassing Expulsion

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Ousted House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., addressed the rumors surrounding an imminent resignation, making it clear that he is not stepping from his position as congressman.

Despite facing an embarrassing expulsion from his role as speaker, McCarthy has expressed his commitment to continuing in his role and helping House Republicans maintain its majority ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

“I’m not resigning. I’ve got a lot more work to do so,” McCarthy told reporters outside his office on Friday. When pressed on whether he would stay for his full term, he added, “I’m staying so don’t worry.”

Then on running for re-election McCarthy continued, “Yes. we’re going to keep the majority I’m going to help the people I got here and we’re going to expand it further.” The former House speaker admitted that he never considered resigning.

During the impromptu press conference, McCarthy refused to say who he would endorse to be his replacement. “I’ll let them go to work,” he said, to which a reporter replied, “Will you weigh in?” In response, McCarthy said, “I’ll let them go work.”

So far, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., have announced their bid to become the next speaker of the House. However, former President Donald Trump has since endorsed Jordan, a staunch ally, for the speakership role.

“As President, I had the honor of presenting Jim with our Country’s highest civilian award, The Presidential Medal of Freedom,” Trump stated. “He will be a GREAT Speaker of the House, & has my Complete & Total Endorsement!”

McCarthy refused to react on whether he supported Trump’s endorsement. “Only members vote and I think members [can] sit down they can make their decision,” McCarthy stated. “They’re both good friends. I’ve talked to both of them.”

McCarthy faced a humiliating defeat after refusing to remove Ukrainian aid from a House GOP spending bill. Amid Republican opposition, McCarthy capitulated to President Joe Biden and Senate Democrats on a clean spending bill that delivered minimal wins for House Republicans.

In turn, Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., successfully introduced a motion to vacate, leading to McCarthy’s expulsion.

Biden Selects Ex-Hunter Colleague to Lead Watchdog Tasked w/ Protecting Whistleblowers

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Joe Biden selected his son Hunter Biden’s old legal colleague to helm the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, whose primary purpose is protecting whistleblowers.

Before being nominated by Biden for the post of OSC on Wednesday, Hampton Dellinger worked on the Crisis Management and Government Response team at Boies Schiller Flexner in 2014, the New York Post reported.

In 2014, Biden’s son tapped that firm to assist Burisma Holdings — a Ukrainian energy company. In March of the same year, he also had dinner with Dellinger and others, according to the emails from his abandoned laptop.

The Post reported that Biden’s son served on the board of Burisma from 2014 to 2019, also adding that it is unclear whether Dellinger did any legal work on Burisma’s behalf.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R–Iowa, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and other Republicans urged current Special Counsel Henry Kerner in July to probe claims of retaliation by IRS supervisory agents Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler.

The U.S. Department of Justice was accused by those whistleblowers of meddling and favoritism in the sprawling inquiry of Hunter Biden.

“The president thumbed his nose at SSA Shapley and SA Zeigler with the nomination of his son’s former law partner to an agency overseeing their whistleblower cases,” Shapley’s legal team said.

Additionally, they said that, if he is confirmed, Dellinger should immediately let Congress and the American people know that he will “recuse himself from any involvement in the whistleblowers’ cases who have risked their careers to expose preferential treatment for” Biden’s son and the nominee’s former law partner.

According to the Post, Kerner has served in his role since late October 2017 and heads of the OSC serve five-year terms.

In late 2021, Dellinger was confirmed by the Senate to serve as the DOJ’s assistant attorney general to oversee the Office of Legal Policy.

The White House reported that Delligner worked in that capacity until June 2023.

“While Joe Biden tries to convince America that there was zero influence between him and Hunter’s business deals, he appoints a close friend of Hunter to protect the Biden Crime Family from accountability,” Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., said.

He also added that Dellinger’s appointment — if confirmed by the Senate — would “send a chilling message to civil servants everywhere: you are not protected, and you will continue to be targeted by the Bidens if you look into the real crimes” that were committed by the corrupt family.

“Dellinger should withdraw his nomination,” Gaetz said.

Trump Shares Clip of New York AG Calling Him ‘Illegitimate,’ Threatening to Sue if Elected

() Former President Donald Trump on Thursday attacked New York Attorney General Letitia James amid an ongoing fraud trial in New York where he is accused of defrauding banks and insurers by inflating the values of his properties.

Trump posted clips on his social media platform from a 2018 video in which James calls him an “illegitimate president” and promises to sue him if elected.

“America is in uncharted territory. We are angrier and more divided than we have ever been at any point in our history since the Civil War,” James said in the video.

“At the eye of the storm is Donald Trump, ripping families apart, threatening women’s most basic rights,” she continued. “I’m running for attorney general because I will never be afraid to challenge this illegitimate president.”

Trump also shared other campaign clips of James in which she says she’ll sue him if elected.

Trump, the frontrunner for the GOP nomination, has denounced his legal trials in New York, Georgia, Florida and Washington D.C. as  “witch hunts” designed to interfere with the 2024 election.

The New York bench trial, which will be decided by leftist Judge Arthur Engoron, alleges conspiracy, insurance fraud and falsifying business records.

James is seeking $250 million in penalties and wants to ban Trump from doing business in New York.

‘Going to Beat You’: Kari Lake Gets in Awkward Airport Exchange w/ Dem. Rival

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Aspiring U.S. senator Kari Lake confronted her Democratic challenger in Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport on Thursday, culminating in some awkward political trash talk, the Daily Caller reported.

Video footage showed Lake heatedly discussing the border crisis with Rep. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., who plans to run against Lake for the U.S. Senate in 2024.

The current incumbent, independent Kyrsten Sinema, is also in contention for the seat, and both Lake and Gallego are up against primary challengers in the closely watched race.

Their exchange began during the flight, with Gallego making clear that he was looking to score some political points with a made-for-social-media ambush.

It is unclear however, whether either or both candidates were aware that the candid exchange in front of a public restroom was being filmed.

“You’re gonna have a great race,” Ruben initially said to Lake, who was apparently not in the mood to exchange pleasantries.

“It’s going to be a knockdown drag out, and unfortunately our border is wide open … and even the Democrats are upset about it,” Lake said.

Gallego continued in his efforts to disarm the tough-skinned MAGA brawler with saccharine pleasantries.

He suggested he shared common ground with his political opponent, despite having done little as a lawmaker to push back against the Biden administration’s open-boder policies as 7 million illegals flooded across—many of them passing through Gallego’s district, which covers much of the Phoenix area.

“I think there’s a lot we can still do—and we’ve been doing some good work,” Gallego claimed.

“I think there’s some common ground I could find out,” he continued. “Look, we need to figure out how to get people here legally, so they don’t go through the illegal manner.”

But Lake was not interested in hearing about the positive good that is illegal immigration, responding by citing the fentanyl crisis in particular.

“We have plenty of people here right now,” she said.

“We have millions of people here. … Our borders are wide open. Fentanyl is killing our young people.”

Since President Joe Biden took office, the fentanyl crisis has gotten much worse. As Biden and his administration focus on transgender rights abroad enough fentanyl has flowed across the southern border each month to kill every American citizen.

Although Biden recently agreed to resume building the border wall Lake warned Gallego that the Left’s sudden attempt to appear concerned about border security wasn’t fooling anyone.

“I’m going to beat you, we’re gonna save Arizona and we’re gonna get all of the policies that have been destructive to this state out and we’re going to bring in America first policies,” she said.

SELLERS: House GOP May Soon Have Its Own ‘Pelosi’ to Rally Behind

(Ben Sellers, Headline USA) As I have noted in the not-too-distant past, Democrats should learn to be careful what they wish for.

This week alone, some of their most odious policies truly began to bear harvests.

In separate, unrelated incidents on consecutive days, two outspoken far-left activists, Josh Kruger and Ryan Carson, were brutally murdered after having mocked, celebrated and sympathized with such lawlessness when heaped upon others.

Both of their respective cities fell under the protection of George Soros-funded, pro-criminal district attorneys—Philadelphia’s Larry Krasner and New York City’s Alvin Bragg—who have callously and flagrantly ignored the rule of law.

So has Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in allowing an estimated 7 million illegals into the country as part of an open-border policy that most asume is by design and not incompetence.

This week, however, citing an “acute and immediate need,” the Biden administration backpedaled on seven years’ worth of rhetoric that equated the construction of a border wall to literal racism and a litany of other nasty things.

They offered no explanation for the total reversal, of course, nor did they need to.

Democrats everywhere have begun demanding that they close the border, and President Joe Biden’s poll number’s remain deep underwater, with murmurs of a possible mutiny against the soon-to-be-81-year-old incumbent and presumptive 2024 nominee.

Nonetheless, his method of doing so, by validating the much-reviled centerpiece of former President Donald Trump’s immigration plan, caught a few off-guard. The surprise border-wall announcement helped to spark the term #BlueMAGA trending on Twitter.

UNLOCKING THE GAETZ

Despite their own disarray, Democrats still found time to point fingers across the aisle following the removal of Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., as House speaker in what seemed to be an impromptu revolt early this week brought on by Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla.

For weeks, Gaetz, who emerged as one of the biggest holdouts during McCarthy’s marathon speaker election in January, had been sabre-rattling about the possibility of exercising the “motion to vacate” concession that the Freedom Caucus had secured in exchange for supporting McCarthy after 15 rounds of voting.

Although the pressure from Gaetz may have helped force the reluctant “Young Gun” to proceed with an impeachment inquiry against Biden, McCarthy promptly capitulated to Democrats in a stopgap funding agreement to forestall a government shutdown.

Gaetz and others saw it as a betrayal and noted that McCarthy had violated another newly implemented House rule that allowed sufficient time for members to read all legislation.

That’s the official story. However, one has to wonder what sort of moves were happening behind the scenes considering the context in which all of this was unfolding—namely the growing acceptance that Trump remains firmly entrenched as the party leader and presidential nominee heading into the 2024 election.

Accepting that as fact, the outrageous lawfare attacks being waged against him by the Left are not Trump’s and Trump’s alone to bear as the entire fate of America hangs in the balance.

TRIAL AND ERROR … AND EVIL

On Monday, Trump’s trials ceased to be an abstraction, negotiated largely on paper by teams of lawyers, when the clearly unqualified New York Judge Arthur Engoron flashed his butter-toothed grin toward MSNBC’s cameras at the start of Trump’s civil trial in New York.

@yahoonews Replying to @kendrawiley This isn’t an episode of “The Office,” it’s U.S. history. Former President Donald Trump appeared in court for the second day of his fraud trial in New York, where Attorney General Letitia James is seeking $250 million in penalties and a ban on Trump doing business in the state. #news #yahoonews #Republican #currentevents ♬ The Office Theme Song – Zach Caleb

The trial got the go-ahead to proceed last week after Engoron arbitrarily ruled, without any testimony or jury, that the former president had overvalued his properties and thus committed fraud—giving the state of New York the authority to seize Trump’s corporate assets in an inherently spurious case stemming from state Attorney General Letitia James’s politically motivated fishing expedition.

Even so, it remains a civil trial and can ultimately be reversed on appeal with limited damage apart from the inconvenience.

There is something far more deeply sinister about the first of his criminal trials, the D.C. District trial currently set for March 4, 2024—just a day ahead of the Super Tuesday primaries.

The combination of Special Counsel Jack Smith and Judge Tanya Chutkan—a Marxist subversive whose goal is not to do her job but to fundamentally transform America into a banana republic—screams corruption. Undoubtedly both are working in cahoots with operatives from whatever leftist cabal has mapped out the lawfare strategy for neutralizing Trump.

Not only could Trump face incarceration in the D.C. gulag as the result of a predetermined guilty verdict—at least until the Supreme Court reverses Smith’s egregious overreach, as it has been known to do in the past—but Chutkan could decide at any point along the way to hold the GOP presidential candidate in contempt for violating a gag order if he dares to defend himself against the baseless claims that Smith insists on leaking to the media.

AN EQUAL AND OPPOSITE REACTION

To counter such a stacked deck, one can only fight the full force of government with the full force of government, and it is clear that Kevin McCarthy was not the man for the job.

To begin with, despite their best efforts to form an alliance, there was no real bond between the him and Trump

As Politico reported, McCarthy did not even bother to ask the man who once referred to him as “My Kevin” to step up to bat in his defense after Gaetz introduced the motion to vacate.

“McCarthy’s decision not to ask Trump for a hand was driven by the belief that he didn’t have the political capital to make the request,” the outlet wrote, citing Sam Geduldig, a top GOP lobbyist and close McCarthy ally, as its source.

“While Trump had demanded that Republicans shut down the government if they didn’t get major spending cuts, McCarthy had forged a deal only to fund the government at current spending levels for 45 days,” Politico continued. “And, more significantly, while Trump’s orbit had been expecting McCarthy to endorse him in the presidential primary, the speaker had so far kept his powder dry.”

But in all likelihood, Trump’s involvement behind the scenes in helping to usher out the McCarthy era was greater than it seemed.

Appropriately, one member of Congress had introduced a motion back in August to censure Chutkan. It was Matt Gaetz.

Meanwhile, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., who had been so close to McCarthy that it was rumored the two had been physically intimate, was quick to move on and show where here true allegiances lay.

And Trump himself, while offering to serve as the short-term speaker, threw his clout behind Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, the House Judiciary chairman who had been the champion fighter of his own first impeachment trial.

Jordan had been duly loyal to McCarthy during the January standoff. However, that may have been a strategic move so as not to ruffle feathers within the GOP caucus, and it may now enable him to form a sort of consensus he could not otherwise have achieved among both the Freedom Caucus Trump loyalists and the rank-and-file McCarthy supporters.

In fact, Jordan has kept a remarkably low profile throughout the first nine months of the GOP majority, allowing Oversight Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., to take the lead on the impeachment inquiry into Biden. That could be a red flag that something is amiss or an indicator that Jordan has been waiting for his cue to step back into the limelight.

If Trump addresses the GOP caucus as he is expected to do next week, perhaps his true purpose is to lay out a broader game plan for achieving party unity and cohesion in order to effectively counter what may well be the last hope of having a country like the one those of us ages 3 and up were born into.

A POSITIVE ‘NANCY’?

Republicans must have someone leading the House who approaches it with the same ruthless spirit as did former Democrat leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

With little more than a razor-thin majority and an iron fist, she was able to fully weaponize her branch of government in 2019, even spinning a legitimate phone call about investigating a Biden family bribery scandal in Ukraine into a knock-down, drag-out effort to delegitimize Trump.

Two years later (after a bit of help from the pandemic and George Floyd), her party had full control of two branches and was on its way to drastically reshaping the country in its own image.

A recent tweet thread from pundit and former political candidate Robby Starbuck laid out just how well the Left has succeeded—as well as the serious work that must now be done.

“Republicans have one shot to get this right. … If you aren’t as ruthless as them, we will lose this country and if you bristle at the word ruthless—remember that there’s a difference between ruthlessness after you’re attacked and ruthlessly attacking,” Starbuck wrote.

“You’ve been attacked, your country has been attacked, your children have been attacked and your faith has been attacked,” he added. “Righteous ruthlessness to save the values and people you love IS the virtue and legacy you should be chasing.”

Up until now, Democrats—who cannot even keep their own members from pulling the fire alarm, much less hold them accountable for doing so—have been gleeful in declaring that the GOP is in a state of disarray after ousting McCarthy.

When asked why Democrats had refused to back McCarthy, Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., offered a predictably smug and divisive reply, characteristic of the party line: “House Republicans have done nothing but feed Trump derangement and MAGA extremism three meals a day… [W]hy do we suddenly have to become their babysitter?]

Once again, though, they may soon have to live with the folly of yet another miscalculation. This time, though, instead of contributing to the further destruction of our nation, the end result will be a resurgent and more focused GOP, united in its effort to undo the damage that the Left has done and to make America great again.
