(Dominick Sansone, Headline USA) Deriding cancel culture and blasting climate alarmism, a relatively unknown 37-year-old, anti-woke businessman, Vivek Ramaswamy, announced on Tuesday night that he will be seeking the GOP nomination for President of the United States, proclaiming that the country needs to proudly embrace “American exceptionalism.”
Ramaswamy has already had a successful career as a biotechnology entrepreneur and has headed several investment firms, according to Breitbart. He also wrote Woke, Inc.: Inside Corporate America’s Social Justice Scam, which exposed leftist bias among major U.S. corporations.
In the video launching his presidential campaign, Ramaswamy stated that America is experiencing a “national identity crisis,” and that secular religions “from Covid-ism to climate-ism to gender ideology” is representative of the nation’s lack of purpose and meaning.
“If you question that orthodoxy, they call you a bigot, a homophobe, a climate denier, a racist,” said Ramaswamy.
He cited Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech as part of his original inspiration to believe in America and the idea that he could secure a bright future through hard work.
“I went on to found multibillion-dollar companies — and I did it while getting married, raising a family and following my faith in God,” Ramaswamy said.
In a statement provided to The Epoch Times, Ramaswamy said that “faith, patriotism, hard work, and family are on the decline” in America, and that the communist Chinese regime is the “greatest external threat” to the United States.
After his announcement, he tweeted that one of his first moves as president would be to remove federally-mandated affirmative action.
As U.S. President, I will end federally mandated affirmative action – full stop. I will repeal Lyndon Johnson’s Executive Order 11246 which mandates race-based quotas. Every Republican since Johnson had the opportunity to do it. I’ll do it on Day 1 without apology. https://t.co/zwMyInEcDh

Exposing government corruption concerning Washington’s relationship with private corporations, similar to that of Elon Musk and the release of the Twitter Files, is another one of his goals.
“I challenge every GOP candidate to join me in making some easy commitments: end affirmative action; abandon climate religion; total decoupling from China; 8-year limits for all federal bureaucrats; say NO to central bank digital currencies; release the ‘state action’ files.”
