Fmr. Advisor Says Hillary Planning to Run Again in 2024

'Much like Biden’s surprise entrance in 2020, Democrats will see her as their savior, an experienced politician able to bridge the left and more moderate wings of the party...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) As Democrats attempt to phase out President Joe Biden, some already are speculating who might replace him as the party’s presidential candidate in 2024.

According to Dick Morris—a former Bill Clinton advisor and current Newsmax contributor—failed 2016 nominee Hillary Clinton plans to insert herself back into the running, Summit News reported.

“It is clear to me that Hillary’s recent spate of media interviews, as well as opinion pieces penned by long-time Clinton cronies touting her as Joe Biden’s successor—are a prelude to her announcement she’s running,” Morris wrote in a recent Newsmax op-ed.

If true, it would be her third attempt to secure a spot behind the Resolution Desk, where her husband left his mark a quarter-century earlier.

Morris, who ran Bill Clinton’s successful re-election campaign in 1996, said that Biden “can’t run again in 2024” because he poses too great a political liability, according to Beltway politicos with knowledge of intra-party gossip.

“These insiders know better than most that Biden’s quickly declining mental abilities, coupled with an economy spiraling out of control, means disaster for  the Democrats in ’24,” Morris wrote.

He suggested that the things being said about Biden behind his back were “shocking.”

All of this points to Hillary’s return, hoping to rebrand herself as a competent and “moderate” alternative to Biden or other far-left options.

“As leftist candidates emerge as front-runners in the Democratic primary, pressure will grow on Hillary Clinton to enter the race,” Morris wrote. “Much like Biden’s surprise entrance in 2020, Democrats will see her as their savior, an experienced politician able to bridge the left and more moderate wings of the party.”

According to Morris, other Democratic options such as deeply unpopular Vice President Kamala Harris aren’t viable candidates, despite widespread speculation that she could be Biden’s replacement.

“The Democrats also know Kamala Harris is also a disaster and cannot be their candidate,” he wrote. “Trump will easily defeat her.”

He likewise ruled out Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom, who recently traveled to the White House while Biden was on a trip to the Middle East.

In Morris’s view, the Democrats will be completely desperate by 2024, especially in the wake of what promises to be a bloodbath in the 2022 midterms.

“Already they are bracing for a GOP tsunami this year, which will sweep Congress giving Republicans control of both the Senate and the House,” he wrote.
