(Corine Gatti, Headline USA) Former Florida congressional candidate and conservative firebrand Laura Loomer was detained by police in Naperville, Ill. after confronting disgraced former FBI Director James Comey at his book signing event.
The Gateway Pundit reported Loomer questioned Comey why a criminal was writing crime novels, prompting him to scurry off the stage on Monday.
“I think we all know, James Comey, that you’re a great storyteller because you made up the whole story about Crossfire Hurricane,” she said.
“I find it ironic that a real-life criminal is now writing crime novels instead of spending time in prison for conspiring against a sitting U.S. president,” Loomer said. “But I guess it takes a criminal to know a criminal. Perhaps it is more of a manifesto than a novel.”
Loomer then asked if Comey remembered her from the last time when she confronted the former FBI director with a list of questions about the salacious Steele dossier during a book tour in 2018 at Barnes and Noble in New York City. The crowd booed and shouted for her to be kicked out of the event.

Loomer was in Illinois to be the maid of honor at her best friend’s wedding, the Gateway Pundit noted, and she saw that Comey would be in town for the event. Her friend who remained in the audience said that some called her move “brave.”
