Let’s Go Brandon Driver Finds Let’s Go Brandon Sponsor for Racing

Brandon Brown, the NASCAR driver who came to fame over the “Let’s Go Brandon” chant mocking President Biden, has found a new sponsor in a bitcoin company named after the chant, said TMZ.

The sponsor is “a cryptocurrency company, LGBcoin.io, whose first 3 letters are emblazoned on Brown’s car. The company was coined LGB as a direct reference to the phrase, ‘Let’s Go Brandon,’” said TMZ.

Brown embraced the chant after some trepidation, saying he was sympathetic to people struggling.

“I have no interest in leading some political fight. I race cars,” wrote Brown. “I am not going to endorse anyone, and I am certainly not going to tell anyone how to vote.

“But I’m also no longer going to be silent about the situation I find myself in, and why millions of Americans are chanting my name,” he added. “I hear them, even if Washington does not.”

However, Brown complained last week that it was difficult to attract sponsors as corporate America tends to retreat from conservatives.

“It got extremely difficult for us,” Brown told the Sports Business Journal. “If you’re a national corporation, that means you sell to all consumers … and unfortunately, when you get dragged into the political arena, people want you to take a side.”

But his new sponsor says that it’s the sponsor’s job to get people thinking differently about “Let’s Go Brandon.”

“If we do our job right, when you think of us, and you hear, ‘Let’s Go Brandon,’ you’ll think and feel, ‘Let’s Go America,’” said James Koutoulas, LGBcoin HODLer and founder of Typhoon Capital Management according to the U.K.’s Guardian.

One trade magazine is warning that NASCAR hasn’t officially approved the paint job and livery for Brown’s new sponsor—and perhaps won’t approve it.

“However, since the LGB chant began, NASCAR has denounced it. NASCAR president Steve Phelps spoke on the issues ahead of the championship race in November,” said Racing News.

“The head of the sport went as far as saying the sanctioning body would take legal action against anyone selling LGB merchandise that featured official NASCAR branding,” the trade rag concluded.
