(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Joe Biden has made a shocking reversal, contradicting his previous denials of ever discussing his son’s business dealings.
Biden, who in 2019 claimed, “I’ve never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” now finds himself asserting the contrary through a spokesman. Ian Sams, a White House spokesman for investigations, stated, “As we have said many times before, the President was not in business with his son.”
The dodgy language was a flip from the president’s previous declarations, and come in the wake of explosive revelations from IRS whistleblowers, including the release of a WhatsApp text message explicitly involving Hunter Biden and implicating Joe Biden in his son’s dealings.
Throughout the infamous 2020 presidential election and Biden’s subsequent inauguration, both Biden and his press secretaries, Jen Psaki and Karine Jean-Pierre, dismissed damning allegations of Joe Biden’s involvement in his son’s questionable foreign business dealings.
Joe Biden: "I've never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings. Here's what I know — I know Trump deserves to be investigated… You should be looking at Trump. Trump's doing this because he knows I'll beat him like a drum." https://t.co/yrMdiaBli8 pic.twitter.com/yGhipRo1ew

Conservative voices took to social media to express their outrage at what they saw as a blatant flip-flop. Popular podcast host Ben Shapiro criticized the new statement, referring to it as “careful language.” Shapiro pointed out, “After all, you could be allowing your son to use your name to pick up bags of cash and then getting a cut of the back end without being ‘in business’ with someone.”
Political commentator Stephen L. Miller echoed Shapiro’s sentiments, highlighting the discrepancy and calling for reporters to question the change in context. Meanwhile, author and podcast host Byron York described the statement “Very lawyerly.”
The Biden White House has chosen not to address publicly the damning WhatsApp text message that directly implicates Joe Biden in his son’s business dealings.
National Security spokesman John Kirby abruptly ended a press conference on Friday after being pressed on scathing revelation from IRS whistleblowers that Joe Biden was actively involved in Hunter’s foreign businesses.
“I am not going to comment further on this,” Kirby claimed during the press conference, before storming out.
Joe Biden's quote was not that he was in business with his son, it was that he had never even discussed business dealings with his son. Not the same thing and reporters should be asking why the change in context. https://t.co/5JXx0SuPDq
