Leftists Set Stage to Blame Election Losses on GOP Poll Workers

'It is kind of troubling to see, in the wake of 2020, this new element of election workers who are there to more police things … than they are to just perform the function of being an election worker...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) The mainstream media has been working overtime to compensate for the oncoming red wave in the midterms, and it is now pre-emptively casting blame on right-leaning poll workers.

According to a recently published article in Politico, “election officials are growing concerned … that groups looking to undermine election results will try to install their supporters as poll workers.”

It follows two years of widespread vote-fraud denialism over the outcome of the 2020 election, which prompted a surge in interest among concerned conservatives that left-wing operatives funded by shadowy activist organizations may have infiltrated local election offices in key battleground states.

Now, however, Democrats seem ready once again not only to acknowledge the presence of vote fraud, but to dubiously deny the legitimacy of the upcoming election if they lose by accusing Republicans of what they, themselves, have been guilty of.

Michigan is a state of particular concern, as former GOP gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley reportedly encouraged concerned poll-workers to unplug voting machines if they believe something is amiss.

“It is kind of troubling to see, in the wake of 2020, this new element of election workers who are there to more police things … than they are to just perform the function of being an election worker and facilitating the democratic process in communities,” claimed Justin Roebuck, the clerk of Ottawa County, and the chair of the Michigan Council of Election Officials.

Roebuck last year was honored as “clerk of the year” by far-left, George-Soros-backed, Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, who oversaw the introduction of many voting irregularities in the 2020 election.

In addition to accusing Republican poll-workers of undermining election integrity, Politico‘s article also emphasized concerns over voting equipment, fearing that Republicans might “frustrate the processes at polling locations and centralized ballot tabulation centers.”

The article claimed that the Republican National Committee has been recruiting poll workers in heavily Democratic areas of the state, as well as coordinating with organizations which worked to “Stop the Steal” in the wake of the 2020 election.

There were many reports of suspicious activity taking place in deep blue areas during that election, including kicking out poll watchers, instances of improper handling of absentee ballots and the possible illegal acceptance of money by Benson.

Despite the Democrats’ growing concern that they may have a more difficult time stealing the election from the Republicans, the Bipartisan Policy Center’s election task force reassured Politico that “to date insider threats have been isolated, identified and thoroughly investigated.”
