(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) New White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has received criticism for apparently wearing an Ivanka Trump-designed dress, Western Journal reported.
In a tweet posted by Megha Bhattacharya, a White House press assistant, she congratulated the new press secretary and attached a photo of herself and Jean-Pierre. In the photo, Jean-Pierre is wearing a medium-length, light pink dress.

One Twitter user responded, noting that she had the same dress and that it may have been designed by Ivanka Trump.
Love the Press Secretary’s dress. I too own this Ivanka Trump dress and I’m even wearing it in my profile pic 😂 https://t.co/AnK5UfnMvs pic.twitter.com/OeLjcGoa7B

“Love the Press Secretary’s dress,” Michele Perez Exner wrote in response. “I too own this Ivanka Trump dress and I’m even wearing it in my profile pic.”
Her tweet includes a photo of a very similar dress on sale with Ivanka listed as the designer.
Donald Trump Jr. shared the tweet, tagging his sister and causing the photo to go viral.

Trump shut her clothing line down in 2018. If Jean-Pierre’s dress is not an Ivanka original, the pattern seems to be very closely followed by another designer.
Outside of her sartorial choices, Jean-Pierre has garnered criticism for her first couple of days on the job in which she has bobbed and weaved around questions. Jean-Pierre has also read directly from her notes, providing scripted information about the importance of a progressive tax code.
In giving this answer, however, she completely neglected to answer Fox reporter Peter Doocy’s question about inflation.
Doocy: “How does raising taxes on corporations lower the cost of gas, the cost of a used car, the cost of food, for everyday Americans?”
Jean-Pierre: “We encourage those who have done very well, especially those who care about climate change, to support a fairer tax code.” pic.twitter.com/rcvptEkgPN
